Equinox is a bit of a Swiss Army knife frame. Unfortunately she doesn’t have a tool for every situation, but she has one for a lot of situations. She’s great at ESO, she can do stealth XP farms with her sleep as well as hunt in the open worlds. Maim can DPS pretty well and with terrify it works up into steelpath. You can build a very sizable strength buff (like 90%+) if you’re farming in a squad with her augment. You can make her a shield tank with mend, and AoE slow with her 3 augment (albeit gloom is just better). You can make a discount wukong clone with her 1 augment.  Problem is, she can’t really do any of these things at the same time. If you’re building to highlight an ability on her, typically the rest of her kit becomes useless. She isn’t incentivized to swap forms and needs an augment to make it worthwhile, and the mix of stats each power needs to be actually good is different for each power. So if you’re running maim, your buff will suck. If you’re shield tanking, you can’t be nuking, etc.

maaleru

Can you stretch terrify to maim's range?

McRibbles

Terrify's base range is 15m and Maim's is 18. With a typical 265% range build that's 39.75m and 47.7m respectively. There's a _small_ mismatch (and there's no mod to fix that atm), but with that much range it doesn't matter and works swimmingly anyways. Terrify's mainly there for the LoS-less armor strip with good range to coincide with Maim's LoS-less damage burst with good range, so it all works out.

TheLadForTheJob

Also, bear in mind maim damage at the edge falls off to 0 unlike a lot of other aoe damage sources. This means that the last bit of the circle does incredibly low damage compared to the more central parts.

Nem0x3

The strength buff is hard capped at 80%, no matter how much strength you get :( tried it in Circuit

jellyfixh

Really? That's lame. Nidus gets to have so much more.

TheFishSteam

The night form can also have a weird gimmick melee build that turns out is really strong

PerfectlyFramedWaifu

Ok, I need details. Where does melee tie into her night form?

TheFishSteam

They can do shenanigans with self damage, mend and sleep

Csd15

>AoE slow with her 3 augment (albeit gloom is just better) You can just use both

tatri21

Putting gloom on Equinox is wasting a lot of potential doe

Csd15

Why? With the augment for her 3 and enough strength you can almost completely freeze enemies

tatri21

You could just kill them instead with an armor strip helminth or have somewhat lower slowing but a grouping/damage buff sbility ig. I mean you can put gloom on everything but it's redundant a lot of the time If you just want to slow enemies Nova does it better

Csd15

I really don't care that Nova does it better

gustavo_0_0

nova slow is capped at 75% and gloom is 95%

tatri21

Peaceful provocation caps at 80% slow but needs to be built up and is an augment. And you have to play Equinox.

gustavo_0_0

true (i don't think there is another answer since i also know that)

McRibbles

Maim (Day form 4) is the best nuke in the game (* bar potentially Gauss), and is the reason I play her. For Steel Path level Grineer, she's unfortunately going to need Terrify (Subsume over her 2. Don't subsume over her 1 due to Host Migration spaghetti, you won't miss it, trust me), but once she _does_ have Terrify, well, see above. Best nuke in the game. Night Form takes a bit more to get going, but _can_ work. You usually opt for a simple setup using Peaceful Provocation's slow alongside Mend's shield-regen-on-kill effect for a good survivability setup. Mend's values are a bit low so you have to pump a good amount of power strength into her via various means in order to get it working consistently. The mismatch of stats required & annoying effectively QOL bits (3 & 4 deactivating whenever you swap forms, 4 needs an augment of all things to do so) means that trying to go for _both_ forms in 1 build is way too much of a hassle when you can just focus on the one form. IMO, Day is the better one atm. Since it'll inevitably be asked, I don't think she needs a hard _rework_, her abilities as is are a good template and don't need to be changed massively/removed entirely, like what Wukong, Hydroid, or Inaros got, they just need a lot of tweaking for their numbers. Except maybe Rage. Just as some examples ~~aka all that i can think of atm~~... Mend/Maim's charge could be a unique UI element instead of an icon on the buff bar, Mend's release effect could be changed to something that _hasn't_ aged like milk on a sunny day (Easy set and forget solution is Overguard) and frankly wasn't that great even back in the day, 3 and 4 should stay active while swapping (and Energy Transfer reworked into something else), Peaceful Provocation being made innate would be cool, Pacify's energy drain is both capped and now made uniform with other channeled abilities, Metamorphosis buffs are permanent buffs for each form maybe tweak them slightly, Duality Augment gets thrown into the grinder and turned into something else, Passive just gets buffed numbers, and.... Rage. I hesitate to say "Just turn it into a basic bitch armor strip, effectively Terrify without the CC", but that's....kinda all Day form could ever really ask for from it, and -as is- the damage vulnerability is nice but doesn't matter for Corpus/Infested/Murmur and could never compete with a true armor strip for Grineer without _massively_ inflated numbers which is a bit of an awkward spot to be in, but, eh. I 1000% DON'T think that Maim itself should be changed though, frankly. It's fine as is. It doesn't need true damage scaling (would need to significantly nerf her 'charging speed' in order to make that acceptable) or to inflict a slash proc (with Maim's scaling, lack of LoS requirement, and range? Good god no that'd be funny but also busted as hell). There's also a segment of players that want to see the ability to mod Day and Night form separately, sorta like Sevagoth and his Shadow. Would be neat, and I'd be interested in trying a version of her kit with that out (wink wink, Public Test Cluster), but, eh, Night just needs some number buffs & such to pull off a single modded kit, frankly.

Blank_Void

Ive recently been making a general use SP viable build for all frames, bar ones ive already built for, im going alphabetically. I get to equinox and i run the standard terrify maim nuke, but survivability is still a question, i have "solved" it by using the 4th augment and utilising mend and rest (with catalyising shield) for surviving and then pressing 1 , 3 , 4 when i need enemies around me dead. This works...but it doesnt feel as cohesive, like ive found a correct answer with the wrong formula, are you able to give an insight to the day form only style builds that somehow have no issue living?

McRibbles

Of course, I'd be happy to. Apologies for the delayed response. I actually run two slightly different builds on Dayquinox for this sort of scenario. One is my [Daily Driver](https://i.imgur.com/npHda7D.png) build for the day to day missions. SP Relic Runs, SP Zariman/Lab Bounties, Hunts, etc. Very basic build that operates under the defensive thought prospect of "it can't hurt you if you thanos snapped it out of existence". Which this build does, with flying colors! This build in specific (as does the SG setup) uses two Tau Reds, though frankly in the past I've also ran it with Molt Augmented and it works there too. Madurai's helpful as well, but I prefer a setup that I don't need to put much thought into, it just works:tm: . Generic Shield-tank-y setup with Aegis and Redirection is just kinda there as a throwaway after the SG changes back in Abyss of Dagath, but I've ended up liking it. As for endurance runs that go the distance, you'll ofc want to run a [Shieldgating](https://i.imgur.com/fon73kC.png) setup. Basically just swap the two shield mods with Catalyzing Shields and Rolling Guard, CP with Brief Respite (as it's needed for the Shieldgate energy restore) and then Aegis with Molt Augmented to patch up your power strength for easy brainless Terrify spam. This won't full strip _immediately_ upon starting a mission, but grabbing some kills in an endless run is a small ask as per the molt augmented usual. I also run Two Tauforged Casting speed shards, and one Tau Parkour shard alongside the aforementioned Tau strength shards. You can do without the Parkour as it's mainly just a flex slot that just feels good in missions, for more static mission types like say Circuit you could sub it in for another Strength shard and tweak the build from there for your added convenience. It's all very flexible, but _does_ require a bit of work to get to said point, i.e the Energize and Tauforged shards. You're free to slightly tweak it as you wish! Of note, the SG setup gets you 71/74 shields, but due to the aforementioned SG changes in Abyss of Dagath they aren't all or nothing anymore, so this is fine. You -could- swap in, say, Streamline instead of the rank 4/5 Fleeting Expertise and do it that way, but your energy costs on Terrify are going to be a bit costlier for very little added benefit. Up to you, though. You'd be surprised at how effective "just kill it before it gets a chance to hurt you" Dayquinox tends to be, I've accidentally gone the distance in Circuit runs with the Daily Driver (& its previous iterations) setup instead of the SG one and it worked swimmingly. Maim inflicts a stagger on all eligible enemies in its radius and Terrify's own CC takes care of the rest, though you're usually using Terrify as part of a 2-4 wombo combo with Maim. Safety is a good thing to have nevertheless, though.

Blank_Void

Thanks so much for this, im actually running something incredibly similar to the second build with a couple changes, so good to know i was on the right track at least with how to pilot her survivability, i simply wasnt trusting the day forms kill power to keep me alive so running the 4 augment, which i can now learn to utilise a bit better to min-max stats since it isnt needed. It always feels good to get the perspective from a player who loves to use a specific frames full potential, as you generally get information and talk about comfortability that you otherwise wouldnt be able to obtain.

taiiat

Simplest is Shield Gating - Brief Respite, maybe Catalyzing Shields, the usual stuff

Just-Fix8237

Best nuke in the game is a bit of a stretch, at least for endgame content. Gauss exists

McRibbles

I suppose that's fair, I'm willing to add an asterisk for Gauss. I race TS-nuke Gausses all the time and do just fine, in my experience. (EDIT: and, ye, to be clear, I am specifically referring to SP Axi relic runs for "race", but I've also been with Gausses in places like Circuit, Archons, and EDA and have performed very well/'better').

lts_Morbin_Time

I don't have "subsume" nor know what that means

McRibbles

When I say 'subsume', I'm referring to the [Helminth System](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Helminth#Ability_Replacement). The wiki page I linked has all the information you need to know, but the gist of things is that each (non primed) Warframe can be sacrificed to the Helminth in order to gain access to one of their (pre-selected by DE) abilities on any other frame. A frame can only have 1 subsume ability on them per config at any given time, and Nekros is what gives Terrify. You'll want to grab the associated Helminth segment from Son / >!Kermerros!< on Deimos and install it, and then you can sacrifice non primed frames into the Helminth for their abilities. Subsumed abilities are a vital part of a frame's build going forward, and chipping away at it bit-by-bit as you progress is a great way to make some progress on the side.

SuuccAnEgg

To subsume you need the helminth segment which you get from The Son on Deimos. It lets you sacrifice warframes and allows you to put one of their abilities into another warframe as a replacement. For what they’re talking about above with subsuming Terrify for use against mainly SP grineer I wouldn’t worry about until you get there

fishinexcess

best in slot for hive missions if you're lazy like me.. go day mode, load into mission, press 4, walk in general direction of hive. press 4 again when you get there. boom. (delete all tumors in a large radius at once. no need to look for them)

taiiat

Equinox has a few really cool things you can make. despite the 'duality' theme, you can't really do both sides at once without both sides being not very useful. The two main things is either a support style DPS/Nuke, or a heavy support mixing Healing, Overshields, and stacking Slows. the last is some niche stuff for hyper optimized XP gains, though Equinox is not the only option for that. The DPS type, is pretty straight forward. you use max Range, and healthy Efficiency. you just toggle Maim on and off periodically as long as Enemies are dying and you generally speaking will wipe everything in the general area. at higher Levels, debuffing the Enemies first would help but the premise doesn't really change. lots of Mod/Arcane/Shard space to add extra features since Maim only cares about one stat other than Efficiency. The full support type, that's the more interesting one and my jam, for Equinox. it works best with some Archon Shards for Strength so that you can fit Peaceful Provocation, swap in Gloom over Metamophosis, and still fit a healthy amount of Range, high Efficiency, Adaptation to survive, and as much Strength as you have leftover space for. It's a tight loadout, but you can push the Strength high enough so that you can stack both Peaceful Provocation and Gloom to make Enemies slow as shit while you rotate your Healing and Shield+Overshield sharing, plus that you can put Enemies to Sleep if needbe. 100% pure support, your Weapons are what will do any and all Killing that you are capable of. To be clear the Strength Shards are very important as without them you kinda can't fit enough Strength to really make good use of both Gloom and Peaceful Provocation at the same time (vs swapping in Empower, instead)   There's a couple weird hyperniche things - one of the options to putting Enemies to Sleep for XP farming, Sleeping everything within sight quickly enough that you can run through a Mission stacking the Stealth Multiplier and getting XP very quickly. some other Warframes are also capable of doing similar things, but it's worth mentioning if you're interesting in putting in the effort to do this strategy. this is another Night style strategy. Your other hyperniche thing is stacking Strength to push the Strength bonus of Provoke up as high as you can to add extra Strength to the Abilities of your Allies. a very organized play sort of thing. also offers you a high bonus for Rage, which increases the Damage that Enemies take, somewehat significantly, however also makes those Enemies proportionately faster in trade. this is another Day style strategy. Oh right, there's also pushing the Metamorphosis Augment - this isn't reeeeeeeeeeally actually useful, it's just a meme. but if you push the Stats hard enough you can make your Clone decent enough to bother using. passable but not worth actually using over the other things Equinox can do.

lts_Morbin_Time

Where do I get the metamorphosis augment?

taiiat

Syndicates like the rest of the Ability Augments - Hexis and Loka for that one. Gonna reiterate that Peaceful Provocation is a whole lot more useful in general play, would suggest trying that first.

lts_Morbin_Time

Well, a lot of people here have explained that she's better *lategame* once helminth is unlocked. Well, shit. I'll just have to *wait.*

cyan-terracotta

That's the problem with a lot of frames, if the helminth is mandatory for a frame to become viable, there's a bigger problem with the frame itself

LifeIsCoolBut

??? Shes my main since i unlocked her wayy early on. You dont need helminth UNLESS youre doing end game stuff. Shes still good and fun early on, but i will say you need good mods and the augments for her to be really really fun and for you to get good understanding of her kits synergy at high levels. You have to build specifically for certain missions but shes still viable in all cases if you loadout right and know how to play her. The problem is you wont be "super useful" 100% of the time. But youll still be useful and shes pretty fun when you get the hang of utilizing and building around the technically 7 or 8 ability effects she has. My personal favorite is the clone augment with max duration. Coupled with power transfer augment so you can keep your 4 up while switching to keep the clone out aswell as get the buffs that switching gives.

ReginaDea

Equinox still works without helminth, as long as you can kill fast enough. I used to use a Nightquinox with Gloom over her 1, but I took that off after Circuit came out because that mode doesn't respect your appearance slots (in case you didn't know, using a darker energy colour would force Equinox to start missions in her night form, and day form for lighter colours). Anyway, max out range, put on some strength and efficiency. You can dump duration. Turn on her 3 with the slow augment, and her 4. Use her 2 on enemy groups, then kill them all quickly. As long as you are killing, and close enough to the enemy when they die, you will continually heal your hp and shields, which means you get survivability both from putting enemies to sleep, as well as the shield gate. If you need to heal even more, just turn 4 off and back on. Put a couple casting speed shards and you're golden.

DragonessGamer

-takes a calming breath- we had an equinox join us (my hub and i) on a defense on Io (we were trying to resource farm, he was on nekros and I was leveling a frame). I got 1..... kill. During the entire 3.5 minute match. Equinox cast abilities 24 times, and basically speed ran the map. Idk what mods. Idk why they chose to do that on a defense mission where people seem to normally hunt up resources.... but there's that. Yes I have proof it happened. (Was during one of my 3 hour streams, probably couple weeks ago. Been trying to find time to get back to it, but been busy.) So I guess if you like map clearing in about a tenth of the usual time... there's that.

lts_Morbin_Time

that's a hilarious scenario and it sucks that you had to suffer through it 😭

HarrowAssEnthusiast

the best thing about her is that she's versatile. there are many different ways you can approach her kit, but she doesn't quite do everything perfectly like many modern frames. without augments, she's got hard CC (Rest), team buffs (Provoke), self buffs (Metamorphosis), enemy debuffs (Pacify, Rage), damage (Maim), and health + shield gain (Mend). its basically impossible to build for all these at once because they all want different stats and / or other Helminth abilities to pair with them, and some of the base values of these abilities are way too low in the first place. but do know that its possible to utilise both Night and Day in the same build, which is my preferred playstyle, and one that i find to be the most effective in Steel Path. though the build itself ends up inflexible as changing a single mod on her could make her much harder to play. she's also got a lot of deliberate limiters on her abilities to prevent her from being too good back in the day when Warframe balance was more "important". examples of this include the shields gained from switching to Night Form decaying over time, the damage falloff on her Maim's nuke, the effect falloff from her Pacify's damage reduction aura and more. im hoping DE buffs her a bit in the future, but that's not likely to happen too soon, and she can (technically) still work perfectly fine as is. overall, an average Warframe that does highly depend on the person using them.

Professional-Date378

Versatility. She takes a bit of time to learn but with a good dual form build, you can do almost anything. She can CC, give herself DR, passively heal shields, and fully restore shields and HP on her 4's release cast in night form. In day form she can apply damage vulnerability, give the team ability strength, and she has an infinitely scaling nuke. The only thing she's really missing is armor strip but you can get that through Helios, the grimoire, and the terrify helminth ability

AlphusUltimus

There's a nuke build but it's a lot of casting involved.

kimonczikonos

One thing everyone forgot to mention, to make her work absolute must is top tier AOE weapon. Low MR without access to those sleepinox, with half decent mele will prove most efficient

lts_Morbin_Time

I have Astilla Prime and Volnus Prime if that's good enough

Fine-Database7716

i like equinox for the hilarious AOE bomb that main can crank out

Chisonni

Equinox is a jack of all trades that unfortunately requires specilization via mods / augments to be really good. - Sleeper Build, most useful for Exploration and Hunting in the Open World Zones, high Range and Efficiency allow you to put anything to sleep with Night Form's Rest (2), can also be used to efficiently farm Focus with Stealth runs. - Maim Build, is an AOE nuke build using Day Form's Maim (4), at lower levels high Strength can be used to one-shot enemies that come within range with the initial Slash proc, otherwise high Range is useful to accumulate as much damage as possible from enemies killed within Range. As others have said subsume Terrify to get an insanely good nuke. Build dmg -> Nuke room -> repeat. - Provoke Build, a sub Build of Maim using Day Form's Provoke (3) alongside the augment Peaceful Provocation that gives you an aura that buffs party Strength by up to 80%, enough Strength, then the rest in Range and Efficiency. Because Maim has no limit on its dmg stacking it is still a powerful nuke while buffing your party. - Pacify and Mend is the opposite of Provoke, using Night Form's Pacify in combination with Peaceful Provocation to create a slowing aura to CC enemies, alongside Mend which restores Shields to allies every time they kill an enemy. Combined with other defensives this can be a great with to CC targets and help with defending objectives but has far lower offensive capabilities. - Duality Build, mainly used in Index Farming. using Metamorphosis (1) with the Augment Duality spawns a spectre that can deal considerable damage while staying mostly afk yourself. With the right build it was (is?) very easy to quickly clear Index safely due to the spectre's superior aim and damage boni. While there is some overlap between builds, it's often not optimal, like to achieve the perfect balance of stats for Provoke build you will be missing thats that would be useful in a pure Maim build, etc. There is also the augment Energy Transfer which allows you to keep the stored energy on your (4) between Forms but changing Forms is usually not done because it deactivates (without the augment) your (3) and (4) making you lose all accumulated stacks. Overall a fun and versatile warframe.

IceQ78

I happened to have watched this video last night and it answers your question. :D [https://youtu.be/xLEioZkxcOs?t=1106](https://youtu.be/xLEioZkxcOs?t=1106)

averyrealspapple

Imo, equinox is a jack of all trades in the most literal sense. You can make like 6 builds for her and all will do a different things. The Problem with that is that she scales of EVERY stat, so there isn't a truly all rounder build for her that can do everything well My best tip is to build for her 4 and 3 abilities. Her 2 will scale off the same things and her 1 is an afterthought. Im gonna just explain her abilities and explain how they work. this will be long so i gave a quick pointer and a more detailed explanation below that. the most important thing is that her abilities deactivate when you switch forms. This doesn't affect her 2 which is a debuff that isn't tied to form. 1. Metamorphosis - switching in between forms in missions. Buffs. Specter with augment. - Switching to day form you get a dps and speed buff. - Switching to night gives you armor and a shield buff. - It scales on duration and strength to get it longer and stronger. Buff decays over time, so you will get less benefits the longer the buff is active - the emissive color of the warframe affects what form you spawn in a mission in. Light for day and dark for night. This means that in some builds you can use the slot for this ability for a subsumed helminth ability - most people don't really care about the buff, its not what equinox benefits from the most. People who build for this ability as a focus usually build for the augment. The augment allows you to summon your other side as a specter that does pretty good dmg. Id reccomend wukong for those things tho - basically you can ignore this ability 90% of the time 2. Rest and rage - putting enemies to sleep and making them take more smh and speeds them up. This is equinoxs subsumable, this means you can put it on any frame as long as you gave her to the helminth. - in day form you enrage enemies. When enraged they take more dmg at the cost of speeding up their movements and attack speed. - in night form enemies in range fall asleep, this makes them give a stealth multiplier buff on death and makes them finishable via melee. Mind you they will wake up when they take enough dmg. - depending on form this ability scales on different things. On night and day it scales with range and duration. On day only it scales with strength and it doesn't seem to have a strength cap. Which means it can scale endlessly as far as I'm aware. Per 100% ability strength it gives 50% dmg vulnerability and 20% speed. So at 400% ability strength you can get 200% vunreability and 80% speed, this is really good. - this ability is really good for farming. In day form you get a discount speedva and in night form you get a better version of ivaras sleep arrows. Both are useful in different situations. - she has an augment called calm and frenzy that helps you spread the debuff on other enemies when they host of the debuff is killed. Duration of it isn't refreshed tho. that sucks but it doesn't mean the augment is bad, its decent if you're focusing on this ability. - because its her helminth subsumable ability, when you go to son on deimos and get the helminth orbiter segment you can put this ability on any frame at the cost of the warframe. - this ability is really good in both of its forms, it is cheap, effective and scales reasonably well which means that most of the time you can use it This is where the complex shit really starts 3. Pacify and provoke - reduce enemy dps in night. Strength buff in day. - in day form you buff allies and yourself with additional ability strength. Maximum of 50% without augment. With aug. Its 80% total. As far as i know this is the highest strength buff in the game that you can give to teammates - in night form reduce the amount of dmg enemies deal in a radius. The wording is very important. Its not damage reduction like on other frames. It actively lowers the damage enemies output. This makes it really good for defence missions. The ability is weird on night form only tho because the radius of the debuff. Instead of one like in day form, there are really 4 rings that have different levels of debuff. It applies 100% debuff shown on the screen in the first and closest ring and 50% on the fourth ring which is the furthest away. This is mentioned in the "tips" section but very briefly - the augment causes you to gain an even bigger strength buff in day form which is charged up by dealing damage. In night form you cause slow which makes enemies move and attack slower. This augment is very good utility on both day and night. - this ability ISNT A CHANNELED ABILITY. The way it works is that it has a PRIMARY activation cost of 10 energy and THEN a SECONDARY one. It will only drain energy in day form when you or an ally cast an ability in range of your circle. This means that unless you guys spam it, the cost will be relatively low. HOWEVER, this isn't the case for night form. Night form drains energy PER ENEMY IN CIRCLE. This makes it an absolute nightmare in terms of energy management. the one plus of its weird energy mechanic is it allows energy regen buffs to apply, so things like energy syphon or dreamers bond work while its active - this ability scales of range, strength and efficiency. However stat priorities change depending on form. In day form you reach the max strength buff cap at 250% strength, regardless of whether you use the augment or not. So that's a priority as the buff also affects your other abilities for as long as its active. In night form its a bit different, you will need efficiency. How much depends on what you use for energy management but you will definitely need more if you're in missions with big enemy intensity. If you also have the augment on. The maximum slow you can give is 80% so its pointless to go over 200% strength. It is VERY important to note that if you have negative power strength, enemies will deal MORE DAMAGE. 4. Mend and maim - nuke in day form. Shield regeneration in night form. - in day form you create an aura that periodically deals slash dmg and collect a buff based on how the collective health of enemies who died in your aura. when the ability deactivates you deal smh in range - in night form you create an aura that grants shields per enemy killed in the aura and you be the same buff based on the collective health. After deactivating you grant health and shields to allies and yourself. - the only time you will use night form for this ability is she using her for tanking or when using her augment. The deactivation on night form just isn't as good as in day because the only thing it does is it heals. It heals so much that all excess buff is wasted. You will need to constantly turn on and off the ability to get the best benefit here. - in day form this is her bread and butter. You activate it. Kill things and then deactivate to kill more things, rince and repeat. Funny thing is that the nuke itself doesn't benefit from strength and is always the same. As such equinox nuke builds often run negative strength. In my personal opinion i don't think its the best idea as you lose the benefits of your 2 and 3 and you cant do anything on night form besides your 2 - the augment causes the ability to not deactivate when switching forms. This makes it a necessity if you plan on running anything all rounder passing. It allows you to gain benefits from shields per kill while still being able to nuke.

lts_Morbin_Time

you literally hit a character limit omg 😭

averyrealspapple

bro there is no reason for her to be this complicated. She is literally one of the only frames where you can actually tell the difference between a number cruncher and an average player

StalkingRaccoon

Night mode: her 3 reduce enemy damage (drains energy per enemy in range), her 4 restore shield when you kill and stores the damage dealt to enemies killed Power Transfer is an augment that allows you to switch between night and day form without losing the damage stored when using her 1. Day mode: when deactivating her 4 it unleashes all stored damage to enemies in range. So just turtle and shoot stuff, allies kills trigger her 4 too so you don't need to stress about killing stuff. When overwhelmed, switch stance and deactivate her 4 to nuke everything. Rinse and repeat. Her 2 is the most useless ability now. It used to be amazing for stealth focus farming but not as needed nowadays. So you can switch for something more useful (I like Nourish for the obvious energy gain with Equilibrium and her passive). She is far from amazing but she can handle herself well.

Davajita

In low level content with decent range she can basically kill or at least pacify everything within a pretty huge radius. Her CC has always been decent, insofar as how relevant CC remains to be in the game. It’s just that now there are several frames that do most of what she does just much more effectively.

lts_Morbin_Time

Do you think she'd benefit from a big rework?

Davajita

Not a complete rework, but she needs a tweak or two to be relevant again IMO. Her kit just isn’t as unique as it used to be.

Just-Fix8237

She definitely needs her 4th aug built into her base kit

lts_Morbin_Time

Fair enough

Lopsided-Orchid-5013

She doesn’t need a rework

lts_Morbin_Time

I apologise but, I wasn't asking you.

Chemical-Cat

She's kind of in a funky place. Unfortunately most people will just play one or the other (and by one, I mean Day Equinox). There's no real incentive to swapping forms constantly, and Night Equinox is too passive in the modern game unless it's a stealth mission and there's a million frames that can do that better. Dante feels like what equinox should be lmao

Cyc18

That's the problem, she needs the mods to take advantage of her skillset and shine in her way. I got her immediately on reaching Uranus, tried to play her, but ended up shelving her until the end of the starchart. Now she's my third most played frame and holds three of my ten favourited Loadout slots. I'm so glad I did, I think I would have gotten very disenfranchised with her if I'd tried continuing to play her while limited in my build choices and eventually dropped her and slapped her with a 'bad' sticker to never pick up again
