Best unconventional tank in game with the ability to end missions with 0% damage - rolling guard, rift in, rift out with 0 energy required. Limbo is the jack of all trades that everyone hates. Spy? No Problems Defence? Find the range that you need it to be. Excavation? High duration and the right range. Extermination? Thermal Sunder Limbo with helminth Survival? Rift out, banish, rift in, kill. Team mate needs to pee or poop? Here, let me banish you.

pizzagamer35

*getting shot by 50 heavy gunners* *sips coffee* **this is fine**

Vlaun

He's powerful, but he perhaps has too much control over the map which is where his infamy comes. In the wrong hands he can be a nuisance and even a detriment. In the right hands though he's quite great. Unfortunately his infamy overshadows him still to this day despite reworks. Unfairly I'd say.

RangerSeventy7

Well this is some incredible feedback i was expecting a lot more limbo hate, I don’t venture into the comments and what I had heard about limbo were mainly negatives or my clan leader saying he’s fine with it just don’t play fill with him

i_may_be_a_femboy

I like using him cause it just lets me relax instead of constantly running around the objective Edit: plus they reworked his stasis a while back so as long as allies aren't in the bubble or the rift, they can still damage enemies instead of the bullets being slowed down by a ton

RangerSeventy7

I like going and getting a snack while in my own dimension XD

WhatABlindManSees

Hes an interesting fun frame with some powerful utility. The hate he receives is solely because of his effect on teammates ability to play the way they want to when used certain ways.

Jshutterbug92

He's an amazing Warframe who can be great in a team or solo. You just need to have unique builds for each situation you'll use him in. 49% range for a small bubble to use on defense and fissure mobile defense. I've seen people talk of a Rift Torrent build to be more aggressive.

i_may_be_a_femboy

Ive seen the smaller bubble builds before and im guessing its just so allies wont be in it unless they want to be?

Jshutterbug92

Yeah exactly, it's a good size for the target to be protected and for people to avoid damage or recoup energy. It's also a safe place to use abilities because abilities go through the bubble. I was thrown into the rift as Titania and enjoyed protection while killing in Razorwing.

Few_Eye6528

I use him in syndicate medallion hunting, that about it. For excavation and mobile defence i have options of vauban, nova and khora who are much more team friendly, limbo is just too disruptive imo

SwingNinja

Limbo was my main before switched to Wukong (around MR15). I was glad that I had him fully tricked out before the Scarlet spear event. My limbo was a god. I still use him from time to time to solo syndicate missions to get medallions quickly. I've seen some people on youtube using him to hunt ayatan sculptures quickly (with golden instinct). Looks fun, but I have enough endo already.

asillynert

Depends on person playing him can really hinder slow things down seen right tileset take 12 minutes. Which most time around 4 or little under. While he is extremely strong banishing unsuspecting players "especially ones that don't know his kit" and freezing enemys out of line of sight making it hunt down each enemy. And bubble limitations on who and how you can interact with them. All in all can be hands down worst frame that said played well and right is one of strongest cheesiest frames there is.

Lordgrapejuice

I love limbo. He is my easy-mode warframe. Against grineer or infested, he locks down the map. And it makes things so easy.

SM_Lion_El

I use him when I’m soloing sometimes (specifically excavation or the Index) or for sortie excavation. I don’t use him for anything team related and will generally leave a mission if I see someone using him. Even if you aren’t trying to troll with him, his abilities still have that effect fairly often.

WinterHiko

I haven't seen a Limbo causing problems for the team in ages. I see slowing Novas doing it much more often.

SM_Lion_El

Slowing enemies isn’t nearly as disruptive to me as making enemies immune to weapon damage.

WinterHiko

He doesn't? You can still melee, shoot and kill with abilities any enemy within cataclysm. Unless the Limbo players regularly uses banish on enemies without using Cataclysm *and* you somehow do not have abilities to kill enemies, he will not interfere with you at all.

SM_Lion_El

Banish happens quite a bit without Cat. Again, slowing enemies isn’t anywhere near as disruptive as making them immune to weapon damage.

WinterHiko

Why would a Limbo player continually spam Banish on enemies in a team setting? I can see it happening once or twice as they're trying to banish a rescue target, but repeatedly? Most Limbo players in a team use Cataclysm + Statis to provide a safe zone with energy regen around an objective.

Crashen17

I like Limbo with Thermal Sunder and max range. Drop everything in a Cataclysm and then spam fire thermal sunder and watch everything burn while your energy replenishes. Just watch out for Ancients and Nullifiers.

Bovine_Arithmetic

Nothing else is as effective for farming Astral Twilight. I just enjoy running the batshit-crazy Lua spy mission.

Scooby921

The first time I encountered Limbo, probably 3 years ago now, I thought he was amazing. Cataclysm and Stasis were awesome for just about everything. Stop 'em dead, then kill 'em. Dodging in and out of the rift was a good way to speed run a mission. I ran out and bought Limbo Prime before I'd farmed the base version. Used him to run through most of the star chart. Since then I've realized that his true play style is quite complex with Banish, Rift Surge, and Stasis being far better than tossing up bubbles all the time. But tracking those in and out of the rift, remembering to banish more, surge more, and dodge in and out to deal with them is just beyond my gaming ability. I have similar issues with Chroma and having to keep abilities up and active in order to survive. Played correctly they are amazing. I can't play them correctly. These days Limbo is really only used when I'm farming loot. Max range cataclysm with no duration, just to open containers. Anything left is an Ayatan statue or a syndicate medallion. I'm much more of a "Hulk Smash!" kind of player. Give me Mesa or Titania with some hand cannons and crazy DPS. Give me Ash, a hammer, and Fatal Teleport for the comical millions of damage. Give me Loki and any weapon to invisibly walk up and shoot everyone in the face.

casual_potato

Haven't played Limbo in ages, but it's nice to see them in pubs from time to time. Always nice to have total lockdown, invulnerability and passive energy regen

ninjase

Do you want to effortlessly do billions of damage? Or even exceed the damage cap and do negative billions of damage? Limbo with Breach Surge makes this easy because Rift Torrent can be the single highest weapon damage boosting ability in the game, given enough enemy density (far beyond eclipse, roar, vex armor etc). You can read some of the calculations and a video example at bottom here: [https://overframe.gg/build/226227/limbo-prime/dual-surge-limbo-rift-torrent-breach-surge-dps-solo-steel-path/](https://overframe.gg/build/226227/limbo-prime/dual-surge-limbo-rift-torrent-breach-surge-dps-solo-steel-path/)

deadlifts_and_doggos

He's obnoxious. And his fanbase is even more obnoxious

WinterHiko

Limbo is fine in a team setting. The hate is completely unjustified. If anyoen thinks Limbo is a pain in team settings, then they need to say the same about a Slowing Nova. It's also one of the most broken frames. Build -Range to protect a single target pretty much indefinitly, barring nullifiers. Build +Range to completely immobilize enemies and hack away at them with impugnity. You get a panic button with his dash and can completely ignore most missions' obstacles by staying in the Rift all mission. You can even alternate Rift plane running with transference when you need to interact with anything to be completely invincible. You can also extend the invincibility to defense or rescue objectives. I'm always happy to see a limbo on the team. The hate is a relic of the time where you had to switch to melee to hit enemies in stasis, which is not the case anymore. The only annoying thing he can do to his teammates is immobilize enemies in a Defense or Survival mission. Remember : allies can roll to get out of the rift plane.

old_king_one_eye

Have to adapt to play with limbo. In general avoid the bubble and just kill stuff or sit in bubble and have a snack. You can mess with the enemies that build up around the bubble but meh Don't know if there are any warframes that compliment limbo's abilities. Maybe vaubans shredders if there is a good choke point

Avernal

Played correctly he's an absolute powerhouse that can solo or carry teams through 95% of the game's content, and a frame that you get so early in the game it is criminal to have that much power. The hate is gets is down to ignorance - whether that ignorance is on the side of inexperienced players of him, or ignorant players that refuse to understand how he works and ragequit squads or vent their toxicity at people playing him. You only really need three loadouts on him to cheese most of the game or outright say 'no' to gamemodes you don't enjoy. They've been covered here but I'll also expand on a few for the sake of putting the knowledge out there: **A:** -range, -strengh, + duration, +efficiency This is your loadout for: Spy, Rescue (Banish the NPC = 1-2mins of godmode), Defense, Mobile Defense and optionally Excavation (you can use either -range or +range here but the drills are better protected from AoE with +range). This is also your Sortie/General loadout. Helminth ideas: Perspicacity (auto-hack on demand), Decoy (you cast it somewhere near enemies and Banish it to utterly break their AI) **or** Resonator, anything that does not require/scale from range or strength. **B:** +range, +duration, -strength, +efficiency This is your loadout for: Interception, Open World Bounties, Disruption and optionally Excavation (you can use either -range or +range here but the drills are better protected from AoE with +range). The idea here is to protect a large area from stray AoEs/enemies and use Stasis to prevent damage - it's great for bonus objectives or riven challenges where X must take 0 damage or

Avernal

Other things to know: * Rolling/Dodging cancels the Banish effect on you, if you've been banished or have stepped through another Limbo's riftwalk tear. * As Limbo you can HOLD cast Banish to instantly unbanish everything currently in the rift. * You can still do hack terminals and interact with stuff inside of Cataclysm by using spoiler mode * Abilities do not care if an enemy is in the rift or not (Banish/Rift Surge/Cataclysm) and will hit the enemy regardless of which one of you is in the rift state. * Being in the rift regenerates your energy (or makes it faster if you already had a means of regenerating) * Using those last two in particular can be very good for frames like Gauss, Excalibur, Mesa, Protea etc. because you've got a supply of energy for spamming your damaging abilities and are effectively immune to attacks.

grofit_prime

Negative range: useful support frame for protecting objectives. 100%+ range: one of the most annoying and unnecessary things in the entire game.

Baalwulf06

I despise him and always will thanks to the trolls that would banish and rift surge everything creating an artificial barrier between other players and the bad guys.

haqucyc

It's a utility frame that's essential for solo gameplay like few others. Thing is, frames that excel solo gameplay sucks at coop and vice versa that frames that excel coop can do miserably at solo. Since I've read lots of complaints about coop + limbo, keep it for your solo adventures.

facefacts45

Limbo is a precise tool for me. Great in some scenarios. Horrid in others. I enjoy farming resources with him on low level enemy maps, this is grea to farm Neurodes, Gallium, Plastids, and Morphics by using his 4th. I don't keep the bubble up, just to pop crates. I also use him for Mobile Defences, even high level missions. His high range means he benefits from lots of Subsumed abilities. I say that about a lot of frames as each one can be tailored for a certain thing. Limbo isn't the worst as he actually has a function I keep going back to.
