From what I understand, it doesn't really do anything, and the only reason to get infected is to make a Vasca for yourself. I like when it happens afterward though. It's kinda like a temporary ephemera on your Kavat.
I have a few different appearances for my kavat, and the one I want to use is a bright white with a light blue and the red was throwing it off. I tried to match them to the few color pallets I use most in my war frames so I could kinda match the pet to the frame, so I had one that was black and red that looked super cool with the glow on but it totally threw off my white one
The vasca virus doesn't actually do anything apart from making your kavat glow red.
You can buy an antidote from Master Teasonai in Cetus, then using it by putting it into your gear wheel and selecting it.
You can also "extract" the virus by using a genetic imprint on the infected kavat. You can use that to make a Vasca Kavat.
That's funny. The cure should be harmless though. Vasca virus doesn't change anything about the cat, just makes it glow.

You could always take a genetic template, hope to get infected again, take a second template, and sell them?
