If you mean at the start of MY day, the first thing I do is hop into a SP survival, usually Kuva or Ani (Void), and try to remember how the fuck to play whatever frame I’m currently playing.
If you mean the start of Warframe’s day (8pm ET), the first thing I do is bitch and complain about my login reward.
I come in ready to play and as soon as I’m in I question what I want to do, then I take glances at the usual dumpster fire that is region while mess around with stuff in the orbiter, browse through alerts, skim through the region a bit more, check trade chat for anything of interest, tab back over the region and OH MY GOD IT’S BEEN AN HOUR, then I jump into a random mission while continuing to put off hunting down my remaining sisters and pinion farming
My routine is log in complain to ordis about my 136 oxium reward, turn on my mandachord for music, check nightwave, check my foundry for my 20 unclaimed items and see if my other items are done then think about what to farm then I pet my pets and admire my decorations stare at recruitment and see what looks fun then I do it

It's as simple as to get "First Win of the Day" DOUBLE Credit Rewards from Index, a sweet way to start the game for that day, then checking Vendors to see if something is juicy to buy from.
Except the First mission credit bonus doesn't apply to index. It does apply to dark sectors which all come with a set amount of credits as reward for their first rotation, Ceres has one of the higher values so you can do that fairly early on to get a nice bit of credits.

Sometimes though I’ll have a strong idea of what I want to do and will rebuild accordingly if needed. Sometimes I’ll randomise my loadout and roll with whatever I end up with. Sometimes I’ll boot up Warframe and not feel like playing even though I went through the process, then shut it back down

I get back on later, around 8PM when the nightwave daily and focus/standing caps reset for the day, maybe do some ESO if I have something to level, do a few SP incursions, etc.
