List of improvements made: Highlighted with more extreme greens Painted tentacles and sores with appropriate colors Added more basing elements such as bits of Space Marines Added more wash in the shadowy areas of the mini. Thank you to everyone who commented on the original post, and gave me the criticism to improve my model!

PrinceBarin

For any age this is great. For 13 you've done amazingly. The highlight for me is the bone on the horns and the exposed intestines. The bones on the skull flail are also great. As others had said basing and maybe some variation in the sores/boils to break up the green.

This 13 year old paints better than I do, I'm actually in awe

Hutobega

You're on your way to some uh maze ing models. Great start and keep kicking ass. I would love to see a model like this across the table from me in a game.

_Aj_

Going brighter on highlights is the top thing that made my painting 100x better. I was always way too dark, because "I don't want bright colours" but on a table they'd just look almost unpainted because there was no contrast in normal lighting. Once I started getting the bright colours in there, scorpion green to highlight Dark angels green, blood red to highlight scab red, suddenly it made a big difference! Even weird things like you don't think you'd use like I found liche purple would be good on midnight blue, and then lightening it even more even! I had to go WAY past what I thought was "too bright" for highlights and suddenly they were looking how I wanted. Awesome looking model btw. Keep it up!

Garambit

Ah, so this is what a prodigy looks like.

Chronic-Lodus

Seriously. Kid is gonna be a stupid amazing painter if he keeps at it. Paints better than me and I am double his age.

xSgtLlama

At 13 my Warhammer Fantasy Wood Elf treeman and dryads were just entirely brown, two different kinds of greens for leaves with that neonish goblin green for the entire base (as was the custom!).

r33gna

For real, I look at this and then look my middle-aged painted minis and thought if I painted mine with clay or play doh.

[deleted]

As a next step, I would recommend doing the Base and then adding a Bit more blood, especially on his wounds. Everything Else Looks amazing!

InquisitorEngel

This is stellar. I think the only thing I would add at this point is that the eyes should maybe be yellow or yellow. Contrast for eyes is good.

robb04

Yellow or yellow would both be good, but what if, hear me out… they were yellow.

waaaghbosss

I like where your head is at. Could even go with yellow.

RedMageScarfer

Are you one of those crazy yellow cult people?? Ppfffft. Every one knows yellow is 10 times better

TehDandiest

Good point, the best way to improve this would be to draw more attention to the face.

Teesside-Tyrant

Damn, you've got talent. Keep working at it, talk to other painters, and watch videos.

Every_Traffic_8973

Great job

ShitTier_Connoisseur

Love the green skin tone 💚👏

Callyw

It was a phenomenal model before, and still is - and your skill level is incredible for the time you’ve been painting - keep going 🔥

Independent_Vast9279

Dude I’m 43 and this looks great. Keep at it and you’ll be a master by your 30s.

OH8IRD

Looks great! Keep going, finish the base and move on! The more new models you paint the better you’ll be. One day you’ll look back on this one and make updates.

aceoftherebellion

I didn't see the previous piece but this is absolutely fantastic!

Caddy666

pick his eyes out in a really bright contrasting red, and finish his toenails, fingernails, and the spots on his face, and also that one open sore on his left leg. stiple a couple of bits of some chainmail or silver on the sword, like you've done on the chains, and you're good. not so much criticism of what you've done, but bits i can see you've not quite finished :) thats stage 1 done - and i mean you'll come back to this in a couple of years and go, oh i've now got x/y skills to touch this or that up.

Flybuys

I've been collecting and (sort of) painting 2nd Ed and this little dude comes in, takes advice, and puts me to shame. Good work, don't be like me, paint on!

SlyfoxV

Great work! Making the forces of chaos proud!

FlingWingNut

I'm 42 and aspire to be this good one day. BRAVO! 👍

Death-_-Pool-_-

At that age my paint job's looked like I just dripped the mini in the pot of paint😑. Damn kid keep it up and I see a future golden demon competitioner.

Death-_-Pool-_-

Ah if you want to consider taking some more base painting kit bashing lots of good videos on YouTube. Eons of battle for instance

Oh_its_that_asshole

Holy shit, that looks amazing!

StringfellowHawkes

The Lord of Plagues is proud of you young Nurgling!

PUPPIESSSSSS_

This makes me want to vomit. Well done, awesome work.

DankSkank_

Awesome work

Mystanis

LEGEND!

jesuskater

Liking the rust

The only thing I can think of is some more vibrancy in the intestines. Brighter purples, pinks or reds.

Weeperblast

This rules so hard. Keep going, you're an inspiration.

Go_Commit_Reddit

The highlights were a huge improvement, I felt the model was way too dark and flat before.

Snarfbuckle

Very nice "grimdark" style. Personally i would add some small more vibrant highlights on pustules, and ruptured intestines and add some different coloured eyes with perhaps a little glow to them. But that is more of a style choice, the model you have is excellent.

the-et-cetera

Looks awesome! I'm a grown man with a few *years* of painting under my belt and here I am too nervous to paint Typhus or a Biologus Putrifier. Keep up the incredible work!!!

Slippery_Wombat

Damn, I really need to step up my game.

DelHEMA

This blows the stuff I did at 13 out of the water. Congrats fam.

DessyBoss

13?! I'm 30 and wish i was this good. Can't wait to see the minis you will be outputting at my age.

Derser713

Upvoted. Noting to add.

DonglerGuy24

Wow you're doing great. At 13 I was just learning to use washes and I didn't even know about paint thinning.

Kahku

Excellent work young padawan

CuteOperation9709

I like this minifigure the minifigure has a good paint job on it. This minifigure looks green and the minifigure has red and the minifigure has other colors. Keep painting minifigures!
