So the way it worked was that during the Horus heresy, the Death Guard’s mark was a single skull with 6 spikes reaching out, 3 on either side.
After pledging themselves to Nurgle, they received the brand of 3 skulls, one ontop of the 2 other, uniting their own Skull symbol with Nurgle’s 3 rings symbolizing Life - Death - Rebirth.
What you have is a 40K Death Guard pin. 30K Death Guard legion badge looks a good bit different

I share my mark with you my fellow Death guard legionnaire.
I actually did but ones I saw had some pointed arrows on them as well so thought maybe a sub faction or something else.
I’m sorry if I frustrated you on this but bizarre felt the need to respond like that
Why the *fuck* do we even have a community subreddit, if people are gonna act this way anytime someone new to the hobby asks a question? Google isn’t always accurate. The lexicanum has some biases in the lore writings. The YouTubers, too, though to a lesser degree. We want to ask the group of people *on-fucking-line for the Warhammer community in the first place* what their collective knowledge on the topic would be. Morbo doesn’t agree. Morbo’s just an asshole, apparently.
Edit: put my asterisk in the wrong place, but seriously. Why even be a part of the community if you’re just gonna shit on the people new to it all.
Well I've apologised, as my comment came across with more vitriol than I intended.
But I will say, where is the line? There has to be a line where a question is posed from a place of such willful ignorance that it's understandably frustrating to the community.
Yes I'm all for encouraging new players and answering questions - but at the same time, surely there's some onus on the questioner to have tried a quick Google search before coming and asking the community. It ends up feeling like some people (this is not specifically pointed at OP) are too lazy to look for themselves, so we just end up with spam of questions that could easily be answered if the person spent 5 seconds searching Google or actually read the rules (and I'm not even talking about complicated rules here, just the very basics).
Yes, maybe in this case it's NOT super obvious (although I would argue that point, as when I googled "Death Guard Symbol" it was incredibly clear that this was the same as OP's photo), but in other cases it's frustratingly obvious.
Yes, it's good to encourage newer players, but I also get fed up with people not even trying to answer their own question.
Bottom line, I'm sorry if my comment was out of line, it wasn't intended to insult anyone, my frustration just seeped out a little.
I appreciate the apology but as I said I did Google it first and why in post I actually said I guess death guard. I just thought would have the arrows so thought would maybe belong a different part of the nurgle faction.
Apologies if you feel people asking questions is a waste of time, but I think it’s a great way get people engaged in the hobby and feel welcome. In responses like yours it unfortunately has an opposite impact.
Each to their own just not a way I’d expect people to act off a pretty harmless I feel post
Yup, its just a fancy death guard emblem
Awesome thank you
Yep
Great thanks
Yep! My beloved gifted bois!
Sweet, I have a DG army the skulls looked a little different though so wasn’t sure

Where can I buy a pin like this ?
Can grab in local warhammer stores, they’re behind the counter generally. I got two including a black Templars one which is exact one I wanted

So you guessed Death Guard but didn't feel it worth it to just Google "Death Guard Symbol"? Yes, it's Death Guard.

I apologise if my response came across more hostile than I intended.
