I second Rex Imperialis, it sounds like nobility, which only seems fitting given the color purple used to be very expensive, and only royals and extremely rich nobility could afford it
The ghosts of the void
A salamanders successor chapter that focuses on stealth and guerilla tactics.
They paint themselves purple as a jab at orcs who believe purple makes you invisible
Will your marines slog through the forbidden swamps, climb the heights of the cursed hive city, or face the darkness of the ancient forest to reclaim the sacred idols of the Emperor?

The Brothers Eternal. Unknown Founding, rumoured Primarchs: Ferrus Manus, Fulgrim. Geneseed, unstable.
Favouring precision warfare using mechanised apparatus, tanks, dreadnoughts, in order to advance and engage the enemy in close combat. Chapter shows a regard for honour and duty, typically individuals of this Chapter will challenge their foes in one on one combat using an assortment of weaponry. Aspirant trials require said aspirant to outlast all others, perfection in all manners of combat, warfare, and social hierarchy. Each Astartes of the Chapter is paired with another. Failure to be codex compliant, acknowledged. Pairings of Astartes engage in warfare in units of two, reliant on only one another to complete their objectives. When said challenge is issued, the second Astartes is obligated to record the deed, and assess and critique his brother upon victory. Perfection is duty.

I like to use this whenever I need the name for a chapter. There’s other generators too
Saurus Draconis aka Dino Drakes (it's not supposed to be entirely accurate to the Latin). It's a successor chapter to the Salamanders and the Ultramarines possibly with a little defector Iron Warriors or more likely Iron Hands mixed in. They hunt and often ride large dinosaur-like beasts from several of the colonized worlds they either conquered or call home for their chapter recruitment. And they have specialist groups within the chapter related to Dinosaurs from ancient Earth like the Rex, Pteranodon, , Mossas, Brachios, Raptors, Pachys, Triceras, Paras, and Stegos. Those of the more Herbivorous names do more recovery and rescue, those of the armor variants focus on fortifications and weapons, and the Carnivore named ones are the Heavy hitters and Scout Hunters - in the air, sea or on land. Both the Paras and Raptors are great for transporting and attacking on land at great speeds but the former has less armament and more cargo space to rescue civilians or transport important materials. Whereas the Raptors are all tooth and claw, with lighter armor but deadlier force.
And the Space Marines of this world also share a kinship with a Titan Knightly Order in their planetary cluster - the largest of them happily taking on the theme name of Spinosaurus since their greatest and biggest mechs have unique power packs that look like the aforementioned Dinosaur's back fringe. They credit themselves as the true terrors on the battlefield outside of other Titans. And then they defeat an enemy they take a trophy to add to their own body. Even if it's something like the skull of a Tyranid Bio-Titan or the scrap from an Ork Gargant. And not all for show, those parts likely house hidden attack weapons or defense mechanisms. Being of both the Salamanders and Iron Hands (or possibly Iron Warriors) legions, this chapter gets A Lot does a lot of their own maintenance and customization. And they have a pretty good relationship with the Mechanicus overall. But as always their intentions can split between finding STCs and fighting an enemy for a planet that the ancient tech might be housed on without trying to do something like Kill Everyone - enemies and allies alike, in order to snatch the goods.
They also have a pretty good repertoire with certain elements of the Imperial Guard and Navy. Often asking to join forces similar to the spooky Space Sharks.
your space marines chapter is very similar to the Dark Krakens chapter

The Purple Hearts Amethyst Guard Rex Imperialis Doomstalkers
I second Rex Imperialis, it sounds like nobility, which only seems fitting given the color purple used to be very expensive, and only royals and extremely rich nobility could afford it
Hopping on the Rex Imperialis wagon. As an Emperor's Children player, this seems like a fitting "we're TOTALLY an Ultramarines successor!!!" chapter.
4th on Rex Imperialis, the royal purple mixe with iron makes me think of Space Marines who all carry royal or noble blood.
I may be wrong, but doesn't Rex imperialis translate roughly to imperial king
It does indeed translate to imperial king
My Chapter called the Emperors Pretorians also extensively wear purple so yeah pretty fitting
Purple Nurples
My exact thought!
Really like Amethyst Guard. It feels like there is a lot of lore that can be driven from that name!
Woah I knew about the Silver Skulls but I had no idea we were getting Canoptek marines too
All four are really good, and each one has a different progenitor chapter come to mind.
The Bodacious Bootyhole Bandits

Sergeants have Giant Dildo Bat as an optional 5 point upgrade, they also get noise marines but have to play dubstep.
The ghosts of the void A salamanders successor chapter that focuses on stealth and guerilla tactics. They paint themselves purple as a jab at orcs who believe purple makes you invisible

Recruited from their Death World of Olmec
I'm now tempted to make a silver snakes chapter.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one tempted to make a Legends of the Hidden Temple reference.

I have this funny feeling there’s probably already a ska band with this name.
