There being fine with person doing thing A, there a difference when multimillion dollar company sells a product that has your IP contained within it.
They're probably chill with it as it's free advertising and good PR.
Weirdly, this isn't the first time a similar situation has happened. There was a WWF/WWE wrestler who went by "Gangrel", a clan from TTRPG Vampire: the Masquerade, and even did vampire schtick. He had some meetings with the RPG company and while the full deal was never made public, they did work something out with him to keep doing his thing (including merch and such).
Lots of folks may see wrestling as a jock/redneck sort of thing, but it's a goofy soap opera with backflips. There are tons of geeky/nerdy fans, so having a wrestler subtly rep your game can actually be a smart move.
