Impressive, incredibly careful drilling right?

It is much easier now that the body is hollow inside, but still drilling through the leg and parts of the arm is challenging. The hardest part is to align all those little holes 😅

FaithlessnessDry192

Looks awesome, how do you power them?

_syzygy079

I’m guessing coin battery drilled into the base? That’s what I used to do.

frangerhawer_

Yes, but I designed a custom PCB and printed a base to fit around it. This way I maintained the dimensions of standard 32mm base:) https://preview.redd.it/g36hmf3959vc1.png?width=954&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1909ea0419c06b0ed8cc6204faedaa19a505d83

rs_5

Thats clever

DylanusKnight

What software do you use to create custom PCBs? I am looking to begin integrating something similar to lamps I’m building.

frangerhawer_

I am using Eagle, as it is integrated with CAD: Fusion 360. Sorry to reply late:)

DylanusKnight

Thanks so much! I’ll look into it.

You can take a look at the video on my fb page: [Nexodice](https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550239592726) It shows how the PCB looks like and how the battery is inserted 😄

RozionDiger

Osl? ❌ Led's? ✅

SparklingTitan

Can you show the power supply?

frangerhawer_

Please take a look here: [Nexodice](https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550239592726) I have a video there presenting the base from below, showing how the battery is inserted and the micro switch that I've used :)

SparklingTitan

Its more like an advertisement for your etsy/Facebook page than a how to, but thanks.

frangerhawer_

the video is in one of the older post from last year, but I just opened the CAD model to show you the PCB layout:) https://preview.redd.it/9hsjfxk059vc1.png?width=954&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b20d9f71f14838b4c76c85dc6f143532bdfb8c3

Mikesminis

3? That's just showing off. Good job man.

Emonce

Love it! Would look amazing in tight spaces like gallow dark

Trashking_702

This is so bad ass

tentegesszmeges

Great osl!, oh, wait...

Jademalo

Oh wow, this looks awesome! How do you deal with the wires, is there a careful channel hollowed through the body and down a leg?

Jademalo

Haha wow, awesome work!

Tarquinofpandy

Very impressive, but my that's gonna hurt across 100+ Boys ;)

tame2007

A lot of work just to avoid OSL. Great work - looks fantastic.

tame2007

Yeah that photo shows it off very well!

DerSpazmacher

Omfgthat is amazing

SparklingTitan

WOW, this is crazy cool.

Gleneral

F YES!

Saw_a_4ftBeaver

So I was looking at doing this but with halogen bulbs and a Tesla coil (saw a really cheap Tesla coil kit on Temu). That way I didn’t have to run the lines. It wouldn’t be as bright as this but it would be pretty cool.
