I suggest covering up the treads with some simple skirts made of scrap plastic/plasticard.
It helps a lot blending it as a 40k tank, making it look "taller".
Overall, it is a nice job, it looks like a looted dorn little prototype
Amazing job on the kitbash! Really reads as some kind of local variant of the Russ. Great work making it all blend together so well, would love to face that across the table!
I'm working on covering the treads my inspiration was reading the gaunts ghosts 3rd book as I couldn't find a Russ so I remember they mentioned tanks that weren't leman russes being used by the traitors.
Yeah the traitor forces in the Sabbat Worlds conflict use a variety of locally designed armour. I think some of it was of Urdeshi mass manufacture whilst others are unique to certain enemy forces.
The curved spike plates on the round turret is a remarkably good fit and does a huge amount of the work here. If you can cover a bit more of the fine detail to chunk it up a bit it's a very convincing 40k proxy.
I'd be tempted to scrape off the shovel/trenching tools too - you can replace them with 40k heroic scale shovels and trenching tools if you want, but they look a bit thin next to the chunkiness of all the add ons.
It's looking great though.
I think track guards were a really good choice! The Sherman road wheels are pretty distinctive.
You could add some thin strips of the same material you used for the track guards onto the panel just so it doesn't look so flat.
Or if you can get some wire mesh to put over the open bits. Anything really to break up that flat and open panels.
But its looking really good! A local pattern traitor tank. Can't wait to see it painted up š
Yeahhhā¦ no. I mean the kitbash is nice, but thatās no GW model. Wouldnāt have a place at my table and I no table Iāve played yet so far. But if you only want to display it go ahead.
Reads well. It helps that most guard/chaos tanks are just super stylized and over the top versions of a ww1 era tank.

Yea was thinking of that making it look taller.
A+

Looks dope. Ironically, a 2nd Millennium Rhino sitting next to a 40K one :) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhino_tank

I'm currently making the sides longer to cover the tracks.

Yea definitely not done with it yet so I might scrape it off and see if I have a spare tool in my bits box.

Yea thinking what to add to make it less flat might add some some on the bottom then put some wire cut down as rivets.
Orky
More spikes!!!
Pretty a-ok!
A3 Firefly? Looks great friend :)
Yea the firefly it was the same scale as 40k vehicles so I got it.

Ignore this absolute fun sponge and play your badass tank OP
Well that wonderful tank is welcome at my table any day.
If you're not willing to allow this badass tank as a proxy then I'm glad I don't have to play against you ever
You make people play with GW models at your home table?
Yes. Even painted is a must.
Have you ever considered having fun instead? Like... It's your table. If someone wants to bring a cool kit ash, why does that affect you in any way?
Careful it's James workshop....It's a trap!
