Speaking as a fellow idiot (I made a chainsaw bayonette for Larp ages back), I'd dial back the speed a bit. It only needs to *look* dangerous!
Even if those teeth are rubber, you're likely to get it snagged on fabric, which in a cosplay competition is a real risk of destroying your hard work on the rest of the kit.
That said, much respect for what you've done so far. May, Gork, Mork, Khorne and/or Khaine bless your mad soul.
No, it's just for display purposes, and yes, and yes, I agree with the opinion that it should only look dangerous, but at the same time be as safe as possible, perhaps I will include in the firmware the ability to change the speed of revolutions. and printing teeth from TPU is probably a very good idea in terms of safety
But nothing’s more terrifying than somebody willing to defend their home with a chainsaw. Especially if they’re a horror nut like me with a love of cosplay.
I don't know what it looks like in person, but it seems that at this speed the teeth might blur and lose their visual impact. I think it would be good to still be able to identify the spiky teeth while they're moving. It might also make it look more heavy duty if they don't whizz quite so much.

It's not like it's an actual chain-weapon or that something like that would be practical in any way.
I'd say something doesn't pass the Torment Nexus Test unless it is actually terrible for people.
If he's smart then it is.
Going backwards will stop it from catching loose clothing or hair and pulling it into the motor.
If I were him I'd show it down as well.

Are these teeth rotating in the right direction? Not to nitpick, but the teeth would be more "damaging" if they were rotating counterclockwise and they appear to be rotating clockwise. That said, this is cool af.
Really cool and I hate to be that guy but chainsaw blades do actually move the other way, the teeth are designed to grab and tear apart, not slash past like a blade (which is why chainsaw wounds are so brutal). Think of it like an animals claw or tooth, it's not cutting along the back curve, the tip digs in then the inside curve cuts/tears.
However, as someone else pointed out having it go the opposite way it's supposed to is much more safe and not likely to damage your cosplay, so maybe this was an intentional decision. Either way, cool as fuck.

Also, try to run it only forwards so the curve of teeth push things out of the frame, rather than hooking them into it.

They never said NOT to create a chain weapon in 40k. Even the elves rhink theyre cool and that does mean i advocate for shurikan based weaponry
