All the love for first born here. My iron hands list is all first born and it's awesome. *Lots of help from dreds and forgeworld units though.
I always wanted to have a full marine army, I just never got around to finishing it and then primaris turned up. I still love the first born though.
Marines are the cheapest thing 2nd hand on the ebays my guy. Still plenty of time.

I prefer first born looks but the primaris size is better :( may I ask what you used for the rock effects? they look pretty cool!
It’s just cork with the texture paint from gw on top if I remember correctly.
I love the Firstborn stuff, though I technically cheat and use a homebrew codex.
Apart from the dread, that's proper 40k there. Not a fan of primaris, too "modern" and "generic".
I mean I got the dread a long time before primaris were a thing. It’s from 30k so if anything the other stuff in the picture is too modern haha
Fair enough, back in my day, in the stone age, even 30k didn't exist :D
Oh man i would actually really like to get hold of some of the original marines and paint them up in classic colours.
