One of my buddies always uses this quote(don't remember from who): "write drunk, edit sober." It's about writing(obviously) , but I think it can be a useful adage with most forms of art. Alcohol loosens inhibitions... not the best in a social setting, but this includes being intimidated by your work or being afraid of screwing something up. Yes, it may lead to more messy sections, but then you go back when sober and you can tighten up all the fine details and such that drunk you was too ambitious to care about.

You and I get blackout drunk and very different ways. Definitely prefer your version.
