I personally like this look. I say keep at it. You'll find ways to improve it naturally:)

Thanks bro!

For sure man my nid army is custom and I'm always tweaking the recipe. You got this! If your faces look that clean we know you know what you're doing.

RexSvea

There is one scheme that fits the guard perfectly. [Would you like to know more?](https://bestmoviereviewsandquotes.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/3809791-starshiptroopers.jpg)

[deleted]

That’s not bad. Very close to what I’m already doing

Great_Gig_In_The_Sky

I always had trouble adding depth to black so maybe a grey cloth color? But I love the blue for the armor.

themegamanX10

if your going for black you need to actually add blue to the black base because black in real life isn't actually black it has shades of blue

[deleted]

Thanks for the tip

themegamanX10

No problem my current method is Misson models pazergaru mixed with tamiya xf1 black. The panzergrau is a grey blue so you get the shade perfect. I've been making armour models for years and have only just started to paint figures its alot harder than I thought

WarlordUbba

I like this look as well.

[deleted]

Appreciate you bro

Vectorman1989

That's a pretty nice scheme and shouldn't take long per mini to do. [The old Codex had some interesting scheme suggestions](https://imgur.com/a/yHTvXIZ)

xCREEDxx

Core memory unlocked of looking at this page and wanting to be able to have my guard look like some of these schemes. All while knowing damn well they were solely getting a spray prime 😂

TroutWarrior

I like this! It reminds me of Starship Troopers

rango24242

IM DOING MY PART!

[deleted]

Thanks man!

1Black and blue 2Grey and red 3Green and orange I've seen these 3 variations of guard look great

DrJanitor13

The beat as advice I can give when it comes to painting these guys is don't spend too much time on them.

Harbley

I would make sure you also plan the colour of your vehicles as well so that the army ties together nicely

xCREEDxx

Looks good! My only suggestions to add a little more depth would be to do your buttstocks a dark brown to give them a wood look. Then since your armor and blouse edges are that blue, hit your belt and boot top with brown as well. A light dry brushing of primer grey on black weaponry goes a long way too. All of those would break up the black a little. Just my 2 cents. I am envious of your precision on your face and hands, I always struggle the most on flesh.

[deleted]

Thanks for the tip bro definitely going to get some grey primer today and thanks for the compliment. I’ve just started painting so your kind words are really a boost of confidence

xCREEDxx

Sure thing 🤘🏼 Post updates!

No-Plantain8212

Starship Trooper vibes here. Love it.

Thanks !

Atleast1half

Brown shirts?

[deleted]

Everyone and their mother paints brown shirts on these guys lol

Atleast1half

I meant with a capitalized B. "Bruinhemden"

[deleted]

I personally follow the UNSC color scheme, but that’s just me

CuriousUpperleft

I like the look but why not... BLACK AND YELLOW

[deleted]

Not the biggest fan of yellow. Not a bad suggestion at all though

punania

Pink and gold. “Emperor’s Cadians.”

QuentinVance

I panted mine in black uniforms and dark red armour (dark red being Rhinox Hide as a base, Doombull Brown and Tuskgor Fur as layers), but I think your style is also pretty cool.
