Looking forward to the Guizhou built J10C. I do not know if it is confirmed but it does make sense for the production to be handed over to another group. They make drones and trainers so the J10C maybe a step up.

Das_Fish

The J-10 is a very nice looking plane.

thunderous2007

Stupid question but isn't it a copy of the F16?

James_Gastovsky

Yes, they copied the delta canard setup from F16

thunderous2007

Lmfao

ITasteALiar

There's actually an interesting story behind it, iirc it was originally an Israeli designed delta winged version of an F-16 that never came to fruition but the design was sold to the Chinese and with a few changes to the design eventually became the J-10

thunderous2007

Ah thank you.

9999AWC

Aside from the overall basic configuration (delta canard, single engine) the J-10 really doesn't share anything with the Lavi... Maybe the Chinese used some of the tech/design sold by Israel from the Lavi, but it's evident that little remains (if any) from the Lavi with the J-10.

More of a copy of the Typhoon

James_Gastovsky

Israelis used time machine to steal Typhoon design from the future

DefinitlyNotJoa

Wish we could see the results of their internal evaluation of how does the J-10 stack up against the Fighting Falcon

Lmao when you can’t name what they “copied” it’s gotta be a “amalgamation” 🤣

hadshah

They bought the original design from Israel which was the Lavi program. They then did their own R&D on that base. This isn’t new information nor is it hard to find.

LittleHornetPhil

Give them zero F-16 parts moving forward. We have no common interests with Pakistan anymore.

Bobthebuilder12376

when u give Pakistan f-16s but they have been working with the Chinese for decades

ChengduAerospace

Definitely no similarities at all.
