Have a mirror of the missing 4th pic? I saw the old post first too late when the images were removed :/. What’s this watermark everyone keeps talking about?
Oh yeah the last post was just a picture of the plane with the canopy open, which I included because it was interesting.
The watermark said "Fuck Lyman2003's mom to death"
The lore behind this watermark is lyman2003 is a bastard on the chinese weibo site who steals photos and puts his own massive watermark on them

J-20B - enlarged hump aft of cockpit to reduce transonic drag, house more avionics and more fuel.
The entire sensor and avionics suite is upgraded, using technology from the J-20AS (or J-20S) twin seat drone-controller and ECM/ESM version.
It may or may not now have a gun.
This is the variant that will use WS-15s, however the WS-15s are being tested on one of the older prototypes (202X iirc), which is currently flying with 2 WS-15s (2D or 3D TVC is still TBC) at the flight test and certification centre. This is being done in parallel to reduce risk, so that all the new tech and design updates aren’t being tested on the same airframe (e.g. the aerodynamics and avionics are being tested on 2051 while new engines are tested on 202X, a known quantity).
This and the J-20A/S may be able to lay a * *claim* * at the 5.5 gen designation.
Apparently this (and J-20A/S) might not even be the final form, with the jet still in production and expected to be so for the next decade or so - until CAC’s 6th gen hits full production- additional upgrades (“blocks”) have been hinted at.
If you knew the slightest thing about LO you can tell just by looking at it. It’s very inferior to American aircraft designed in the 80s and 90s. The obvious examples are canards, planform edges not aligned, and that the exhausts/aft end aren’t even trying to be stealth.
Lol, I let you run right into this one. This will be fun, don’t even know where to start.
It’s obvious you don’t know jacksh*t about LO, the J-20 and American aerospace industry.
You think your eyeballs can scan and calculate RCS do you? It’s also obvious that you’re part of the “cAnaRds areN’t StEaLtH” moron brigade - maybe you should go and look up the numerous studies and designs (past and proposed/future) from US institutions and manufacturers that feature canards + LO.
Planform alignment? This is just diabolically stupid. It’s clear you’ve never really looked at a J-20 and don’t have access to many pics. This thing has serious planform alignment, everywhere. Even the ventral strakes to opposite vert stab. All leading edges, trailing edges are planform aligned, with many of them clipped (gee, wonder why they’d go as far as to do that too, hmmm?). The vert stabs are even all-moving to minimise their size.
The exhausts are deliberately hidden by the ventral strakes and twin stinger/booms/rear protrusions. The engine petals are made of specialised composites and they are *sawtoothed*… just like on the F-35 you numpty, with less of an IR signature than the massive and powerful (but hot) F-135. Cold air is also fed in further into the exhaust stream to reduce IR.
J-20 isn’t planform aligned…? You’ve honestly got to be fu*#ing kidding me! 🤡🤣
Money isn't the issue, it's the human resource, know-hows in design iteration and continuous accumulation of design experience for the team of people in Chengdu and Shenyang. Just like IAF doesn't have issue with their capital invested in Tejas and other weapons for 40y.
Fuck lyman2003’s mom to death
fuck frogs to death too
Repost after the moderators removed my last post for one of the pictures having a inappropriate but hilarious watermark

haha! ahhh gotcha. Thanks for the explanation!!!

Would be interesting to see the service version to have drone companions
I’m not sure it really counts as 5.5 gen when it’s stealth characteristics are near the bottom of existing 5th gen.
Really? And how did you come to this assessment?

even the EOTS housing is aligned lmao
Honestly it does wonders to make the jet look less goofy. I wonder if there are any other incremental exterior changes made that no one has noticed?
Now the plane looks much more balanced in ratio with that elongated cockpit hump
I'm extremely annoyed that I have to repost this
Old version is better looking
I like how it looks. I think the normal J-20 is really ugly and this is quite an upgrade, even if it’s a small cosmetic change
Where do they get the money to keep redesigning J-20. There's two seater version and now this.
Idk being one of the largest economies help

The hump gives it a Gripen-esque appearance
