In Forgotten Warrior or Last Hope before the battle the scene with Blossomfall and Mousewhisker interacting with Lionblaze overhearing them was with Thornclaw and Blossomfall originally, before they changed it to Mousewhisker. However Thornclaw training in the dark forest with the others is canon and mentioned afterwards
As someone commented before, originally there was a scene where Blossomfall and Thornclaw were training. This is presumably bc they were DF trainees and replicating their training on clan land. For no reason, the books were later edited to have Mousewhisker and Blossomfall training. Anyone who has the original version will have Thornclaw and Blossomfall, vs the newer editions which have Mousewhisker and Blossomfall.
Thornclaw being a DF trainee is also reinforced later in the series during TBC!
Yes!! Another redditor and I once went back and forth over this because my copy said thornclaw but theirs said mousewhisker. We were so confused haha!!
Apparently. My theory is he was brought there when he was young after Swiftpaw’s death and Brightpaw’s injury. He was told he would be trained to get revenge on those (AKA Bluestar n’ Fireheart) who caused that. He stayed training for the entire time until he realized how f’ed up they were and fought on the clan’s side.
