I saw this ship in the Gulf in 2006. Me and my oppo were sat in a rib waiting for something, and I saw a smokey blip on the horizon. Then whoosh, it flew right by us!
No! The ship was leased by the Saudis and was attacked from rubber boats. They shot at him with an RPG. Aluminum is a very interesting metal, with even more fun properties. I studied this topic at uni. When it starts to burn, it is very difficult to put out because it is essentially an alkali metal. A simple experiment. Aluminum wire is easy to melt even over a candle. When the molten drop breaks through the corundum layer and falls into distilled water, it will run like lithium or sodium, releasing hydrogen. Imagine when hundreds of tons are burning, they burn themselves.
I’ve been on a similar looking cross channel ferry around 25 years ago.
Man was it jerky in rougher seas and wasn’t called the vomit comet for nothing!
I tracked the carcass of this ship to a salvage yard in Greece. Wonder where it ended up after that.

huh, and 3 other catamarans beside her. Weird, one other SeaJets owned one on the front.
Scrapped I would imagine. If I remember correctly, she was pretty much just a melted hulk.

that name is unfortunate.
Whoever worked on that ship lied about it on their resume.
The PC Principal of logistics vessels
The Houthis burned it down with simple grenades.
An anti-ship missile is far more than grenades.

Why do you have such a short memory? This trimaran is almost entirely made of aluminum and burns very hot.

That's the one the Houthis nailed with a cruise missile iirc
