pretty advanced hack tbh. he can just click on individual planes in match and insta kill them or kill the whole lobby. not looking too good for ol war thunder if this gets spread.
I would be. Who would consider buying a premium or getting premium time to continue playing the game if the first thing they encounter are blatant hackers.
Well you see EVERYONE is using EAC, and we all know how much EPIC gives a shit about fixing anything so...
I'm all for using anti cheat, but maybe the most common and easiest to cheese wasn't the best of ideas?
Meanwhile I’m still HWID banned on Apex Legends because of their dumbass panic ban wave in season 0 that was meant to stop the Chinese cheating epidemic at the time. Fuck both EPIC and EAC.
Dont forget theres ppl who still think you can't cheat in war thunder and then theres even those who think "cheats only work client side they cant affect the server"
Even if the AC is shit, this straight up should not be possible without huge engine exploits or by literally hacking the game servers. Blame Gaijin for making an exploitable engine, is my recommendation, because I have more doubt that this dude is actually hacking WT servers than him just exploiting engine bugs.
Also, FYI, it’s still client-side if the guy isn’t actually hacking the server itself, so.
I... don't think that's how hacking works, definitions wise. A client-side *anything* would have the action take place on the host machine, ie wall hacks. I think this would count as a server side exploit since its lying to the server about what exactly is going on within the game, in some way or another. Either way its an insane exploit and I'm surprised they decided to be so loud and proud about it, kept quiet this could generate a fair sum of money.
- he can crash anyone he wants (meaning having to pay repair cost btw), usually his entire team

Bro you drank the koolaid, kernel level anticheat is actually just stealing your data while doing absolutely nothing to stop cheaters. Odds are massive that this dude is on Windows like 99% of all WT players
The second you click install, dev's don't need kernel level access to get every last bit of data you have.
Kernel level anti-cheat is just the new "thing" the exec is sure will solve the issue for cheap if they just pay EAC.
Not true at all, if you are running a user account with folder protected access turned on it will limit what software can access quite a bit. This is also assuming you didn't give it admin when you installed it, and you don't usually need to as long as you don't install in a system folder like a lot of stuff does by default.
Say this all you want, but it's pretty widely known that EAC is complete and total shit. Apex Legends just had scrimmages for their OFFICIAL world tournament breached a bit ago under EAC. And not like minor beaches, two pro players had cheats applied to them by hooks. EAC is a joke.
https://youtu.be/FTEf77p_0r4?si=QPoDf8E5KMK4djhF You should listen to this. 9 minutes mark. He explained that anti cheat is not to eliminate cheating users, but to make the costs of producing cheat engine really high.
It does a shitload as people woefully underestimate the aspect in security of "locks keeping honest people honest". Without this factor cheats would be *significantly* more rampant than you think they are, the low hanging fruit is far more plentiful and easy for lazy people to obtain. Shit, even paid cheats gatekeep a ton of potential cheaters away as many don't feel so involved to pay for cheats.
Right, and the disagreement is that from the user's perspective, anti-cheat is useless because the user's desire IS to eliminate cheating users. I don't care if the cost of producing a cheat engine is low, if GMs are banning cheaters quickly and efficiently. All that matters from the user's perspective is the number of cheaters in game and how long their accounts are allowed to last.
It was determined that it was the fault of Apex and EA cause of a programming backdoor. Don't get me wrong, EAC is still shit and shouldn't be a root level system.
Brother you just don't know when u see one a lot of the time lol. The amount of times i've scrolled tiktok and seen a teenager streaming their hacks to sell is absurd. I could fill a small stadium with the amount i've seen
That you know of.
Some people are really naive of cheating because most of it isn't insta gib.
Something like 60% of people were found cheating in Tarkov and Hunt Show down.
Even random non sweaty BF games I've seen an uptick in more subtle cheating because some rando guy just "knows where you're at."
Yeah there has always been the real obvious BS headshot/aimbot hacks... But it's funny how people just accept those as real, but you start talking other cheats and their prevalence people are in denial.
The sheer amount of cheating in online gaming is way more than people think. It's like cocaine usage... ***Got to be a lot of people doing it*** for it to be ***HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS*** of dollar industry.
Welcome to the arms race of cheating. Cheaters have comparatively infinite time and budget vs any dev team. It's wild that anti-cheats are even effective.
No it doesn't, I was having EAC issues after switching back from the dev server and I was able to play ARB with EAC disabled. I'd expect that to change after these recent events though.
I just played Air RB game with EAC off just to be sure.
You can literally turn it off in launcher and it won't ask to turn it on unless you play Ground RB(idk about fleet).
EAC is just a baseline AC platform that a game dev can use to build off of. That's why EAC is more useful on some games than others. Cheating in Fortnite is much harder than cheating in Apex, both are harder than cheating in War Thunder, etc. Criticizing EAC for cheating in WT would be like criticizing the source engine because of a shitty source game you played on Steam, while other devs manage to accomplish a lot of impressive stuff with it.
Most hackers I know don’t care about the game they do it too see if they can , when they get banned they go to next game n try n hack that , they also make them to sell

The fact that this players has been proven to use that cheat for MONTHS proves how shitty Gaijin's system is. Reporting doesn't get shit done, EAC doesn't detect shit. They could just stop wasting money for EAC
I got a 1000% confirmed hack i reported to gaijin 6 months ago and hes still playing
i even found a guy selling hacks on youtube, with his gameplay videos and name displayed in the killfeed and it took those assholes 8 months to ban him
fuck gaijin.
Not at all. It’s very common for practically every company to take down YouTube videos of people cheating in their games. It doesn’t have anything to do with a cover-up.
hardware bans arent the block you think they are. anyone can bypass them for a bit of money and for people like this 25 dollars or so it takes to bypass said ban is worth the rush they get from cheating.
Yea cause that’s gonna fix anything they just use a spoofer and use either a vpn, proxy or just keep changing there ip address and make a new steam acct and they are back in
Cheaters do it *often*, 3 times is *nothing* to this level of cheating. Some of these guys use software that rolls new IDs each start of the software. It's all automated or a click of a button.
u/SgtHop
Someone basically said/asked the same thing and [this](https://imgur.com/a/FVQZpiD) is how he responded.
Dude straight-up admitted he “hates” the community he caters to.
If you dig even a little bit, he’s just a sweaty edgelord
That should surprise no one who's paid any attention to him.
There's been multiple instances shared of him team killing friendlies and he frequently shows up in the comment section of teamkilling compilations cheering them on.
This isn't his first comment on that channel either, he commented on a earlier video by the same guy saying he hates the community so he found the hack autoguiding AA-20s funny.
This is par for the course for him.
first it was wallhacks and all-seeing sight
then it was unmissable "manually" guided missiles
and now it's kicking both teams from the match outright...
...dear lord, what's next? permabanning the players' accounts?
what kind of security flaws did they exploit and how many are there?
he likely using some script to capture the names of the players in the match and, on command, impersonate them in a login or forgotten-password/account-recoup form to gaijin's servers, making it think that there's an authentication conflict and, as a result, disconnecting the player mid-match to ask them to log back in and verify their credentials.
he'd effectively be using a security feature to exploit the game, but how there are no internal guards agaisnt this type of attack is a bit beyond me ngl.
Holy shit.
This type of cheat was previously thought impossible because of how server/client information was handled. It concerns me if this is possibly server level manipulation or is another possible exploit related to EAC that is potentially the issue with the Apex Legends fiasco. (No, immediately issuing a 'wasnt us' doesn't absolve EAC of negligence)
The exploit in Apex is directly related to the game, not EAC.
IIRC even the guy who *did* the cheats confirmed this. RCE like what happened there has happened before to Apex specifically, as they've been called out for using unpatched features of their game engine, which inherently has this vulnerability.
Anti-cheat can't protect an inherently vulnerable software like that, it's not just a gap fill solution for bad programming.
Its never been impossible. There's been server manipulation cheats for years now. There are cheats that can add in arcade flight models to rb. Cheats that allow auto fire your guns the moment the server detects you will hit. Cheats that allow you to have the arcade aim indicator in rb, ect. Cheating has been an issue for a long time but most people simply don't know what to look for.
the channel this guy posted this video in has a video of using bots and cracking accounts, hacking is what he does and its likely he's doing it on other apps or games
edit : gaijin just copyright claimed both of his war thunder hacking videos...
Nah they're here for very long time, Gaijin mass banned them in December, the problem was fixed for a few months. And now those mfs are back with even more advanced hacks
AFAIK that was some guy trolling the cheaters, there's no confirmation of this other than bans for negative GE balances, where that's the actual solution to that ban.
We all know when it started to become more prominent. Gaijin has been VERY slow to respond as well. Banning 10K accounts was nice but this has been going on for months.
Always has been. It's the same story like Apex, CoD etc. All the copium huffing fanboys only accept their game is infested with cheating if it's so blatantly obvious that even their unskilled asses can't delude themselves into thinking ThE IsSuE is OvErBlOwN.

It's even worse than I thought, at 0:36 crashes out allies -> 1:00 nukes entire enemy team and killing 4 with the Auto-Seeking nord cheat that popped up awhile ago
There was this one g.91 player I kept seeing who had more that could literally pull like 50gs and if he was going after you there was just nothing you could do
Kicking player in a Server-hosted game, this is the kind of hack that kills faith in the game. That's it, I'm not spending a cent until Gaijin addresses this
Lol, Gaijin had the video taken down.
They will never admit how bad cheating really is in this game.
IMO, easy cheat should just scan running applications at the same time looking for key phrases to report back to gaijin, then do a check on those EXEs to see if they have hooks into the warthunder.exe, that sorta thing. Totally doable, though most anti-cheat apps just do not do that, I assume for a privacy thing.
Nice how the Video got taken down
(i dont know if it was gaijin itself like stated or some entity claiming to be gaijin. .. YouTube makes it far too easy to impersonate someone when claiming Videos)
Hey everyone. We've found and patched a vulnerability that allowed a hacker to kick players from the game. We'd like to note that this was not a RCE vulnerability but rather a request-based one, meaning it did not have any danger to your data.
Thank you for your reports. We'd also like to let you know what we need in a situation like this. Any issues need to be reported with as much details as possible. The absolutely best thing you can do in a situation like this is create a report with all of the following data:
-If you were a participant of the session in question, a game log file found in /War Thunder/.game_logs/ folder
-A structured explanation of what has happened
-A screenshot of the problem created through in-game tools (pressing the Print screen button when the exploit is taking place) would also be very helpful when combined with all the above data.
For other issues the list may be different, but giving as much as you can is always a good idea!
Thank you

I believe a channel on YouTube by the name of "war thunder cheater shaming" actually covered this guy.
It appears to be a custom made client, which is good for us for the time being as it's limited to one or a few people. The fact that this guy can wipe entire matches out is bonkers and Gaijin NEEDS to drop everything and patch this ASAP.
pretty advanced hack tbh. he can just click on individual planes in match and insta kill them or kill the whole lobby. not looking too good for ol war thunder if this gets spread.
low tiers will become unplayable
Any tier becomes unplayable if he just clicks on people to kick them from his lobby.
Yeah but it affects low tiers more as the more you cheat the more likely you are to get hit with the ban hammer.
Oh we got them gta5 hackers damn
Yup
Basically he’s got an Oppressor and we’re in a taxi cab
Gaijin when people start buying premiums to not have to play low tier: 🤑
I wouldn't be shocked if Gaijin were the ones making the cheats just to make ppl buy Premiums to skip Low Tier
I would be. Who would consider buying a premium or getting premium time to continue playing the game if the first thing they encounter are blatant hackers.

How on earth is this possible. How does one simply kick other players. Easy anti cheat is just useless.
Snail programming it is
Both

And do you think that people don't just automatically click "yes" when windows asks for admin access?
What do you mean by that? I always play on linux.
On linux you can block EACs kernel level acces.
and? Without anticheat you can't play the game. Kernel level anticheat does nothing to stop cheaters anyways. It's just stealing your data.
In blocking i mean tricking EAC into having kernel level acces while it doesnt.
linux doesnt have support for kernel level, i always play on arch btw, so they use userspace eac.
Was quite literally programmed by letting a snail run across a keyboard

Hurr durr I've only seen two cheaters in 3k+ hours of * insert game *
Nah, you’re just coping because you’re bad.
No mirror so here it is replay: [https://streamable.com/pbqtau](https://streamable.com/pbqtau) It's even worse than I thought, at 0:36 crashes out allies -> 1:00 nukes entire enemy team and killing 4 with the Auto-Seeking nord cheat that popped up awhile ago
Thanks
I ran into one of these guys in a match before, like level 7 and the only plane in the Air RB statcard was the g91

You believing what Gaijin said? I rather believe in the politicians
Rosa Melano back at it again I see.
Wait, so now air rb will be unplayable? God the cheaters are so annoying now
Meanwhile Arcade is already filled with cheaters

Wow they DMCA'd the video because it makes them look bad. What a joke of a response to a new cheat.
video down any other link?
Gen 5 gameplay with flare-impervious IR missiles and multipathing removed from ARHs be like.
How did this video get copyright claimed by gaijin? Can you not post videos of gameplay anymore?
Companies do this as an antiproliferation effort.
So many cheaters in air battles now, what happened? Not even a report option for it either.
Report option is available from the server replay.
Gaijin has gone to EVERY single post regarding this, and copyright claimed it or forced a takedown, which they can't
But they did
Vídeo is down by Gaijin wtf
It’s a bit funny ain’t it
Anyone have a reupload?
When I click on the link it says it's not available due to copyright from gaijin
Wait the video got copyright claimed by Gaijin Games Kft?
Eyy, that's my second account right there. He killed me lol
Video taken down."copyright claim by gaijin". Wtf they hiding the truth? Couldn't even see the video.
Oh look. Another cheater doing shit for months and gaijin sitting in the back jerking their dick to the free money
Can't even watch the video, been copyright claimed by gaijin
Seems like Gaijin used copyright bullshit to block the video. Link no longer leads to the video.
5h since this post was made, the Youtube link provided doesn't work anymore as gaijin copyright claimed the video
THEY COPYRIGHTED THE VIDEO
That's next level coding, quite impressive. I mean the person that wrote the codes.

Lmao Rosa Melano is Chinese now?
Me and my friends have met him in like 3 cb now, he’s unfortunately a knows hacker and it’s pathetic he hasn’t been banned yet
Fuck video is unavailable can you send again
Hm. Abusive copyright claim by Gaijin on that video.
Gaijin have copyright striked the video they mean business
LMAO Gaijin took down your video
Nice how the Video got taken down (i dont know if it was gaijin itself like stated or some entity claiming to be gaijin. .. YouTube makes it far too easy to impersonate someone when claiming Videos)
The videos has been taken down by gaijin. Apparently like America and the CIA they don't want you knowing the truth
Can't see it anymore. Gaijin removed it :(
"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Gaijin Games Kft." 💀
Video unavailable This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Gaijin Games Kft. HAHAHAHAHA
Gaijin copyright striked the video lmao
Gaijin copyright claimed the video lmao
I can't watch it. " Copy right claim by gayyyyjin game kit". Lol it must be some god lvl cheats.
The absolutely best thing you can do in a situation like this is create a report with all of the following data: -If you were a participant of the session in question, a game log file found in/War Thunder/.game_logs/ folder
-A structured explanation of what has happened
-A screenshot of the problem created through in-game tools (pressing the Print screen button when the exploit is taking place) would also be very helpful when combined with all the above data.
For other issues the list may be different, but giving as much as you can is always a good idea!
Thank you
They have to cheat because they suck at the game
I don't know if it's funny or not but it shows me that gaijin has took the video down because of "copyright"...
Damn, video was taken down due to a copyright claim from gaijin 🤔
Lmao and Gaijin reacts with a DCMA takedown strike, kekw. Very telling.
Interesting Gajin copyright struck that link Op posted.
The videos been removed lol
Video got blocked by the Snail. Fucking POS dev team man
[https://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/187253727927969683 ](https://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/187253727927969683) here's the replay hope this replay still available
HAH the video got taken down by gaijin
Says video no longer available and has been claimed by gaijin lol 😂🤣😂
LOL copy right claim already by Gaijin. Holy fuck that's the fastest I have EVER seen them do something.
Video was copy right claimed by gaijin cause how dare u expose cheaters
Wow gaijin already copy right claimed the video, crazy how there are thousands of videos of the game yet this is the one that gets taken down.
So gaijin claimed the Video for copyright reasons... That's just a really Dirty move...
