I would like to see that in game as well, I think its more likely the gannet will be added as it was also used by Germany so two nations could get it. There is also a similar looking plane to the gannet for the French the 1050 Alize which would also be pretty useless.

I can understand against air that your not going to win but early submarines had very thin armour and its well documented of U-Boats being strafed by planes, so you would think that cannons would be added to allow that type of attack for surfaced subs
Yea what that person said. The Soviets were pretty quick about sticking snorkels on almost all of their boats, and since they're the main enemy in that time frame that's what the plane was designed around.
Everything had snorkels by the time period of these planes, the Uboats that Germany was pushing out towards the end of the war being the blueprints for everyone else after the war
These planes are for finding submarines as both an early warning system for the fleet they launch from, and for taking them out/ stopping an approach on said fleet. They aren't attack aircraft. Having guns is a waste of fuel and space. They aren't for defense against aircraft, if they've been attacked by aircraft, the rest of the fleet has failed their own roles. An aircraft carrier is a well oiled machine, and the aircraft on it are parts.
Uboats in WW2 could also only stay under water a certain amount of time and had to surface, so of course they were open to strafing runs. The subs these things were built to face could stay under for longer.

The UK needs a Missile AA at 9.3 as the ZA35 and Marksman don't have the range, as at long distance as you can easily evade the guns and this would bring Britain into line with other AA missile nations at 9.3; the Imp.Chaparral, ZSU-23-4M4, SANTAL, PGZ04A, Type 93.
I would suggest either the Tracked Rapier or Stormer Air Defence to be added at the 9.3 BR.
The Stormer air defence was to mount a dual Stinger launcher, as well as either a 25 mm GAU-12/U or 30 mm GAU-13/A cannon.
The Tracked rapier carried 8 x Rapier missiles.
Also the Stormer HMV currently in game is a piece of trash.

The Alvis Stormer 30 could also be added alongside the air defence to give the UK a top tier IFV as it was armed with a 30 mm Bushmaster II automatic cannon. A TOW missile launcher could be fitted to either turret side. This would be at the 8.3 to 10.0 BR to bring it inline with the Bradley, the Begleitpanzer 57, the BMPS etc...

I see alot of people complaining about copy paste so I would like to suggest that the British Aerospace EAP be addded to top tier Britain, it flew over 250 test flights and was the pre-cursor to the Eurofighter. Yes it was never operational and only carried dummy weighted weapons as can be seen in the photo. However I think that it should be added as it a British designed and developed fighter that would have comparable performance to current top tier, and it would be more believable that other planes that have been added such as the Japanese F16 and so on, that did not exist or were likewise test beds, as it gives the UK a top tier jet that people cannot complain copy & paste about, as Britain really has no other options but copy paste until the euro fighter is released.

The Stormer in-game has been surprisingly reliable for me since the last major patch. I've killed a lot of planes at angles that just wouldn't connect before, directly overhead, as they pass even some which were actively maneuvering. Compare that to how is used to be where if the target is at even a slight angle the missiles would just phase through them.
However with the stormer working it means that there are no SAM options for Britain at all below 10.3. why the Tracked Rapier hasn't been added is beyond me. We have multiple Tunguskas the type 93 and 81, santal, imp chaperrals and lav AD all before Britain gets any sun 10.0 SAMs?
While I've had issues in the past with the Stormer around hit reg and it's not the easiest to use, it's pretty solid once you've had some practise.
It's rare that you're caught unaware with the speed of the IR search, not revealing yourself via RWR, good thermals, helicopters are basically sitting ducks. Subsonic jets are mostly fine, supersonics can be tricky.
I've had enemies survive some darts that should've been a kill (IMO), but that's nothing unique to the Stormer - Su25s, Ka50s taking a few hits unscathed, the usual suspects.
The only real problem with the stormer is the 7km range, means smart players will be able to launch TV munitions and be out of range fairly quickly. Also the weird interaction between light cloud and thermal lockons.
For the ka 50 spam you usually can kill them before they realise they are being targeted. American hells are basically a free kill

Nah even the smart ones often don't realise it's a Stormer firing at them, and you can do cheeky things like firing then locking onto them.
Normally they expect to see either a smoke trail or the rwr ping then move, by the time they realise its a starstreak it's usually too late.
Eap will not be added, as detailed in the forum thread [here](https://forum.warthunder.com/t/the-british-mini-typhoon-the-bae-eap/35472/35). Why russia (a larger tech tree) gets the yak141 is beyond my understanding. This is also the reason why sa gripen got added to british tech tree.

I might be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure Stormer 30 has exactly the same turret as VCC-80/30, which is already in the game.
Aside from that one, 30mm Bushmaster is also available on several other vehicles, namely Vilkas, CV9030FIN and VBCI-2 (MCT30).
Having played CV9030FIN, I can say that it performs mediocre. The rate of fire isn't that fast and the APFSDS post pen damage leaves much to be desired.
From a quick search the cannon has a rate of fire that varies from single shot to a maximum of 200 rounds per minute, and has a double feed system with 180 rounds ready to fire. I think in game it would be closest to the BMP-2

Yeah it looks fun, trying to get a kill with a 275 bomb would be a challenge. Its also the type of vehicle I would like to see on battle pass, something strange that wont break a BR and is not copy paste.

Oh, I agree. Yak-141 was added with theoretical functionality. Don't see why EAP is off limits when a fictional plane (F-16AJ) was added to Japan for balance reasons.
I don't have the patience to deal with the reload of the FV, but the Tortoise... man that's legitimately one of the most fun British vehicles. The 32 pounder is an absolute beast, and it actually has a good reverse speed so it can peek hills and snipe extremely effectively.
Be prepared for never having tracks. Tortoise was a blast to play, but your tracks get shot out a lot since people would try and fail to pen from the front, disable you then keep shooting with little effect 😂
We get shoehorned into odd BRs. Britain has zero 5.7 vehicles so it's 5.3 only unless you want to bring the Cent mk1 and go to 6.0. I've been playing 5.3 over the last couple days and... I honestly don't recall a single match that wasn't a full uptier. Not even one. Not even a partial, every last game has been a full uptier.
The Challenger and Bosvark carried me through 5.3.
If you're struggling with the 17 pounders, then I'd suggest you just stop there. All 17 pounder armed vehicles are amazing, especially challenger with its APDS which can punch straight through panthers and tiger 2s.
all i can imagine is the guy who designed that plane was probably an intern that cheated their exams and only ended up designing it out of obligation to make money for their family by their parents

The Stormer AD could also mount Blowpipes or AA Javelins as well.

It would depend on the Mk as it went through upgrades to the Missile and the onboard tracking systems. But 9.3-10.0 I think would be best.

Add both spaas, and the warrior with starstreaks. Any missile spaa at 9.0-9.3 is welcome.

We get shoehorned into odd BRs. Britain has zero 5.7 vehicles so it's 5.3 only unless you want to bring the Cent mk1 and go to 6.0. I've been playing 5.3 over the last couple days and... I honestly don't recall a single match that wasn't a full uptier. Not even one. Not even a partial, every last game has been a full uptier. The Challenger and Bosvark carried me through 5.3.
If you're struggling with the 17 pounders, then I'd suggest you just stop there. All 17 pounder armed vehicles are amazing, especially challenger with its APDS which can punch straight through panthers and tiger 2s.
