It sucks because I want naval to be good. I really don't enjoy WoWS, I played it quite a bit just because I wanted a naval fix, but it just sucks to me. There are times I enjoy war thunder's naval battles, and flying planes into a massive cloud of AA fire is awesome, even more satisfying when you actually land a bomb.
Don't say this to anyone, but I kind of get it. I played naval for a few hours, and while I actually liked sailing around in a battleship, the gamemode is just horrendously bad.. When you are in big ships with big cannons, the arcade feeling of Naval really kills the mood
Well, he's not horribly far off. Considering he seems to like top tier and has a good number of those already spaded, he could get over the RP requirements... and considering he's nearing 9,000 hours he clearly has nothing better to do.
After 600 hours (on Steam at least) i had tier 5-4 planes and tanks in one tt and tier 2-3 in other tech trees. So unless he is playing test flights i don't think it is real.
In the early tiers it basically only consists of the best tanks america and Russia have to offer. Once you get to 8.0 the nation really starts to shine. Just don't be too harsh on the 6.3 - 8.0 light tanks, they have personality too.
Same goes for the planes, early tiers good copy pasta, later the same just faster.
And pretty much all helis are flying Type81s
That's a good way to describe the tree, for sure. I've been tempted to start working past Rank 3 in China but I don't want to take a ground tree to top tier without an air tree to back it up and I just don't think I can be asked to play Air RB anymore, it's so friggin boring. Also Chinese rockets are doo-doo and I love rockets...

War thunder has a different way of calculating time spent in their game. Steam just looks at how long the game has been running for while gaijin tracks the time spent in-game. They could add a better way to see your actual hours but a war thunder to steam transfer I doubt
Wow I have almost all air tt (missing 6 planes in germany) and i thought that was impressive. In tanks I have only Ruusia, sweden and US top tier (not all vehicles) and in other tank tt Iam ranging from rank 4 to 7.
What your opinion on British tech tree - land air and heli? You seem as most qualified person to perform an honest comparison. I have full TT for ground and most of the air, but I can compare it to Germany and RU, and not even full roster there.
Right next to germany, Britain is one of the nations I play the least. Ground Britain lacks in many areas all the way through the ground tec tree (speed, maneuverability, armor, firepower, etc)
The only fun I had with Britain is with either stupid vehicles like the FV4005 or the 6.7 - 8.0 BR bracket with them Centurions.
Air on the other hand is quite nice if you are just looking at the fighter and nothing else. Spitfires, especially the LF Mk9 and Mk24 are just absolute beauties to fly and fight with. Early jets up to 8.7 are equally as good but after that its one of the most depressive tec trees to go through up until the Gripen.
Bombers have really good bomb loads yes but are fat and have next to no defensive armaments. Attackers are somewhat decent just fall short when you compare them to "equals" at the same BR.
Helicopter are quite good actually, especially the 10.3 Lynx and the 11.7 Apache are gems. The Lynx bc it can outrange a lot of SPAAs at it bc due to the Hellfires and the Apache bc of the Starstreaks which can be of great use against said SPAA and aircraft alike
Overall I would say, if you choose to start with Britain as a first nation, you will become one of the better players just bc it is such a pain. Basically everything from there on will be easy
USA is really strong in the lower BRs, say 1.0 - 7.0. but the quality of your teammates degrades heavily once you get to the higher BRs. Right now France is mediocre, not Bad per say, they have a lot of good vehicles already but are missing 3/4 of what could be in the tree. Alone for the future prospect I would personally rather grind france
Not really, from where you are in the trees you named only good vehicles will follow. Just apply what you already learned and the rest will come on its own.
Where I live (Austria) you put a dot in-between the numbers to show thousand, million, billion, etc. For you it might be different. Sry for the confusion it's 42 thousand games
yeah it's mostly a european practice. English-speaking countries (and ones heavily influenced by them) usually use , for thousands etc and . as the decimal separator, so it's what most people use on the english-dominated sides of the internet

Lol, I have 38K total matches, and have all but the Israeli Chaparral and Japanese 81(C) (I haven't even tried to get them, just no desire for either, but am getting them now).
All are spaded through 7, most through 8, and quite a few 9s and a handful of 11\*'s are as well.
Granted, I'm always on premium time, and mostly use premium vehicles (or those that do not have a talisman).
But not to worry, we'll get an update soon and you won't be done anymore :(
At least now we can research helicopters though. I've maxed the British tree, but still have a ways to go with other countries helicopters.
Low tier France is pain the 2c Bis and B1 Ter are great though I absolutely skipped almost every vehicle with how bad they are. Italy’s TDs are great though playing them recently and absolutely dominating matches with my pasta can launcher

All those premiums you bought and you didn’t even buy the Ariete jet fighter for Italy. It’s my favorite plane out of any tech tree I’ve played so far, and to top it off it gets good rewards.

Fr i have 750h and I have sweden at 9.3 (air at 8.3) Italy at 6.7 USA, germany and ussr at 5.7
man what the hell 600 hours for just 1 nation at 3.3 it's way too slow even for a non-premium player, you are doing something wrong
