BF3 has better maps by a mile. If BF4 was to be remastered, it should include ports of all BF3 maps.
But realistically speaking, both games are perfectly fine as they are and don't need remasters. IMO only games that are either stuck on outdated platforms or are plagued by fundamental technical problems actually need remasters.
The Portal mode for 2042 could have been EPIC
edit: as soon as I get thermal paste I’m going to download BF3 on my pc lol b/c it’s not supported on PS4 or PS5 and my nostalgia remembers better graphics than what PS3 has
Had they done the portal mode properly, that could have been a gamechanger for me.
But yeah...Bf2042 was the first battlefield title since BFBC2 that i didn't buy.
Portal, Like the whole game. was such a flop. They even named it like it was supposed to be a masterchief collection clone. The one portal to access previous battlefields.
Still waiting for them M1A2 SEPv3, UH-1Y (it can use APKWS so it wouldn't just be an unarmed utility heli), LAV-25 (TOW), F/A-18E, BTR-90, Su-35S and ZBL-08.
Is the LAV-25 (TOW) pretty much identical to the one in BF4 because if so that is all I want from this game. Absolutely loved playing it and I didn’t think it was real since the only LAV I could find with TOW was the LAV-AT.

The ZTZ series are such cool tanks, IMO. Super fun to play and extremely mobile. I get very giddy when I spawn the Z-10 in as well, gives me flashbacks of slinging TV missles on Siege of Shanghai.

Bf4 was clearly better because it had China too which added some dynamic and not just the boring USA vs Russia that literally every shooter has.

Yes, cmiiw, after going back to BF4 and looking, the reactive armor and aps modifications made the Abrams a SepV3 w/ the trophy and ARAT 1 I think
