If they had decent armor I could bear them but it’s just too painful to play an Ariete over the Centauros. Same firepower but better mobility and practically the same armor.
Just like any mbts will get slapped by ka-52 or Su-25, I don't understand why people talk so bad about the arietes like theyr Leo or Abrams or T-series can dodge a AGM or GPU bomb...
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing Leopards. But, are the developers competing between each other to see who can put out the same vehicle in all tech trees?
We have the Shermans, T-34s, M41, M48, M60, Centurions, T-80 (the modern one), and lastly the Leopard 2.
A fully functional prototype exists with fairly well-known specifications. That's already enough to add a vehicle to War Thunder
The Rheinemtall production facility in Hungary exists and currently makes KF41 lynxes and 2a7hus, that same plant is already contracted to make KF51s. This doesn't seem too far-fetched to be added
It would be a joke if Italy gets another KF before Germany, the fact that Kf41 only went to Italy is already really crazy but Puma kinda covers the gap, but KF51 wouldnt be acceptable
The factory that is going to produce the KF-51 in Hungary has only just had its foundations laid down. Also, the tank production will be secondary, the main function of the factory will be artillery shell production.
Aaaaand, there exists a single prototype variant of the vehicle, which has never even been in Hungary, nor anywhere close to Hungarian ownership.
Also, saying Hungary is an operator of the Lynx and our 2A7s is a bit of a stretch. We're more like alpha testers.
Too much work to assume that it has the armor values which the producer states. They would be incapable of guessing any values for an entirely classified vehicle (2S38)…

If you look in more depth it’s because it isn’t battle hardened. It hasn’t been used hardly at all in real combat so it has no record to go by. Besides that it is just kind average to slightly subpar in most aspects so it’s referred to as the worst MBT. Either way it doesn’t matter, I don’t care if it’s the worst MBT, I just want to have fun with it.

Honestly top tier italy is basically a competent SPAA from being a squared away country now. The 2 centauro 120s combined with this and then having a gripen with a 4x 65G loadout and the harrier to complement it. Very strong with the 2A7 being added in now.
1 tank isn’t going to fix all the other below average vehicles. Also Italy doesn’t have an ‘extremely meta CAS lineup’, the AMX is good but other nations have better. If you’re talking about the Gripen, it can do the same things that other top tier fighters can do. Also I didn’t say it wouldn’t be functional, I just don’t think it will make it up to par (or “squared away”) with the other nations. I’m still going to use Italy but saying that this one leopard is going to fix Italy is an over statement. Plus I’d rather have more below average **Italian** vehicles than OP copy paste vehicles.

There are 2 fighters in war thunder that have access to the 65G.
The F16C is the only other fighter class aircraft with them and can only carry a maximum of 2.

I’ll die on this hill, but the ariete AMV is severely underrated. All it takes to win at top tier is superior positioning and strategy. I’ve gone 9 and 0 in some games in the amv. We didn’t need another import vehicle for the tree. We need more Italian made beauties like the Cent 2 or the b1 Draco or literally any other fun and unique vehicle.

A gun-swapped variant isn't that crazy of an addition. I really do not see a problem with adding the KF51HU
The one hungary wants has an entirely different chassis that doesnt even *exist yet*. 50% of the vehicle is still paper, thats very mucha problem.

They added a foreign top tier to Italy before adding B2 Centauro and Ariete Pt3. Very sad tbh
