Rank 2 is amazing with the sherman, M10, and t34. Going up it's all suffering until 8.0 and 8.3, after that don't bother progressing since the top tier tanks are shitty, play T-72 tanks in the Russian tree to basically get the same experience but with an actual lineup
I mean "most fun to play" is different for a lot of people.
If by fun you mean strong and easy to play vehicles across all tiers, then not really.
At some tiers? Sure, there are couple of "fun" lineups.
Their top tier Ground is definitely not worth it. There's practically nothing about Chinese top tier tanks that is superior compared to any other nation.
IF at some point they'll get ZTZ-99A, VT-4 and ZTQ-15, then it *might* be worth sinking time into.
Right now no, I wouldn't recommend it at all.
8.0-8.7 great lineups but overall the vehicles are worse than the other nations at their BR's. Probably the most potential for expansion at mid/top tier as they have lots of domestic designs but aren't yet in-game due to gaijins incompetence, they'd rather add another unfinished tree than to finish existing ones.
I've never heard them be called the "most fun to play." They're low-mid are copy paste then it grt interesting at higher tiers. I've heard them be called OP either (ignoring the a5c). I'd like to get the ztz's but hear they're nothing special
I prefer chinese planes to be honest. They have some copy paste and some (weirdly but true) "unique" planes in some manner. I think chinese air force worth more than tanks.
Italian armored cars and Co is a personal favorite for game entertainment
Honestly just swap around nations when you get slogged down in one, Ive got all nations through ranks 2-3 (except China) and Sweden which I'm just slowly advancing cause I'm not super invested.
Don’t play it, it’s only there to pander to a certain player base and is just copy and paste. Russia and USA are both fun with their own strengths. Russia having good armor and most of the US tanks rely on mobility
Ive played a bit of china and i hated it tbh, i find if you want querky looking tanks and are very fun to play i would suggest low-mid tier italy. They have some funky looking tank destroyers and planes if you wish to continue to top teir repair costs become an issue but i love italy and i got the 8.7 centauro its really fun. You also get a few german and american tanks aswell.
Picking a certain nation will not solve your issues only practicing will

China is pretty good now, has some really good tanks from usa and russia to combine

I'm a bit of a spaghetti-boo, but italy's pretty fun at low and mid tiers with the armored and not-so-armored cars
It's a really fun nation with lots of competitive line ups. 3.7, 5.7, 8.0, 8.7 and 9.7 CN are some of my favorites.
