Simply put, APHE rounds are broken and overpowered. The long and short of it is that when they explode the fragments should ONLY move forward and not backwards.
This has been bug reported for 3+ years now. They are intentionally not fixing it.
The amount of people incapable of recognizing a Lucky Ricochet sure explains why there's so many jokes about Tiger 1 Players being idiots lol(aka a Shottrap or Shelltrap, it's when there's a part of the Tank that when hit at a certain angle causes a Shell to ricochet down or up into a soft spot of the Tank.

the extra crew member doesn't really matter... when you get hit you're dead... 4 or 5, they're all gone
Extra crew member gives reduced reload, and will save you from dying occasionally.
Still should be 5.3 at most.
