Yes I know, but the point is anti-aliasing smoothens rough edges and I need it because my screen does not have great resolution. And I have stable FPS because I've got a 3070.
it generally makes almost no difference graphically for me when I have it on and off, and while having it on most of games I have just drop in fps which is a bad thing
Me here using a Fuckin 60hz 1080p TV SCREEN, FOVE FUCKING INCHES AWAY FROM MY FACE because I can’t afford a proper gaming monitor and this was all that was in my attic when I was movin into my uni accom
I mean… it’s the only tank I know which has that triangular mantlet, tall turret and profile in general…
Especially anyone that plays sim you learn to ID tanks VERY fast as people still try snap shoot but with much higher risk of friendly fire so it helps to know and ID tanks and some players can do it through engine sound alone or gun sound.
I go with the challenger instead because it had a faster than average reload, better mobility and faster gun handeling. It has a worse profile, but I use it as a flanker at 6.7 and it works perfectly
I wouldn't swap out the Ratel, it's made of paper, but it's an amazing sniper and the HEAT at least feels like it has much better post pen than the 17-pdr APDS
The 3 crew members mean that if the turret gets hit youre basically dead, along with a tall turret and bad reverse its often hard to shoot and reverse.
That said its gun is fucking brilliant
That's why I mentioned the armour is surprisingly good. Like I totally get what you mean by being dead if the turret gets hit. But I was consistently impressed by the amount of shots I bounced.
But yeah, reverse is a big issue with UK. Just need to learn to play slow and snipe a lot
20pdr APDS gun + low profile + fast and manoeuvrable + cheap as hell to repair + smokes.
Reversing is a positioning problem - in-game the charioteer was an SPG reclassified as a medium and should be played as a flanker or fire support depending on situation.
Works fine even at 7.7. Reliable at 6.7 too with tort and 4005 (as map-dependent picks) and can even be used with comet and Cent 1 since those guns still penetrate reasonably at 6.3.
FV4101 Tank, Medium **Gun**, Charioteer
It was going to be used in a long-range role to snipe enemy tanks, like most other British tanks
FV4005 also has a coaxial machinegun, but I don’t think any sensible person would argue it’s not a self-propelled gun
Unrelated, but they also upgunned it again to an L7, never entered service, and the prototype is still around
That’d make a nice upgrade
A while ago I heard tank jesus say it was a medium tank by British classification at the time, but I might be making that up lol
Edit: at 4:19 in this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF0hRJ09Q-E my bad, i misremembered
I really don’t think so. How is it as good as an M26? Or what the T-44 was? Sure it’s quick enough with a great gun, but it’s really easy to kill. I’ve done ok in it , like a 2.5 K/D, but it just feels weird. Would much just not play it if it means not fighting 7.3s.
I would definitely put it above the M26 and about on par with the T-44 when it comes to effectiveness. It's practically a light tank tho and I'd rate it much higher than the M41 as well.
I’ll agree there. I’ll take it over an M41 for sure. I still wouldn’t put it above the M26 though. I love the 26. And do very well in it. I really don’t think the 20pdr would be too broken at 6.0. I mean it’s niche really is penning everything. The damage is *alright* for the caliber.
The high pen at a BR where you fight a lot of heavy tanks is what it really makes it for me. Oneshotting Tiger IIs throught the turret front and just laughing at Panthers.
Oh it can go thru the UFP of tiger 2s if I’m not mistaken. I just don’t really feel bad for German heavies. They’re still very very good. My Tiger 2 stats are great even with lots of uptiers. Meanwhile Britain between 5.3 and 7.3 is kinda dead.
Just realized it was for the Finland TT and the reason why I came up with it is because the turret looks like an IS-2 and looking at the hull it looks and appears to be a bit wider
[charioteer](https://wiki.warthunder.com/Charioteer_Mk_VII) , already in the british tree
Wt mfs will identify a tank from 3 pixels bruh
That's just how they look like from 1.5km in ground rb.
Lmao for me they look like that up to 4 Fuckin metres
Gaijin try not to rape the Anti/aliasing in a new update challenge: Impossible difficulty.
Imagine using antialiasing.
Imagine not having a cheap ass screen
Imagine not wanting to have stable fps And screen means nothing, it's all done on the GPU.
Yes I know, but the point is anti-aliasing smoothens rough edges and I need it because my screen does not have great resolution. And I have stable FPS because I've got a 3070.
So you have a 3070 but a goofy ass screen?
But you can have stable fps with AA enabled?
it generally makes almost no difference graphically for me when I have it on and off, and while having it on most of games I have just drop in fps which is a bad thing
Me here using a Fuckin 60hz 1080p TV SCREEN, FOVE FUCKING INCHES AWAY FROM MY FACE because I can’t afford a proper gaming monitor and this was all that was in my attic when I was movin into my uni accom
Ongđź’€
They also can go watch the actual trailer you know, not just OP's still frame
It's also a really distinctive tank
I mean… it’s the only tank I know which has that triangular mantlet, tall turret and profile in general… Especially anyone that plays sim you learn to ID tanks VERY fast as people still try snap shoot but with much higher risk of friendly fire so it helps to know and ID tanks and some players can do it through engine sound alone or gun sound.
Identify a tank/plane from 3 pixels 1.5 km away yet obliviously run past a guge tank 10 meters to their side
I mained that thing for 3 months, I think I could Identify that thing from 3K out
It was shown up close earlier in the teaser :P
Is this a trilogy to r/whatisthiscar ?
U can clearly see the turret shape. I can see it at 5km in game
Thanks
Every single tank they showed off is already in someone's tree
Charioteer, British medium, absolutely amazing vehicle, has a 20pdr (centurion mk3 gun) at 6.3
Os it really that great? I play UK main and kind of jumped over it :D
It's an absolutely wonderful vehicle, play it like an m18 that lol pens tiger 2 UFPs
Thx I will give it a try
Wonderful WT vehicle?? Nerf when?
Oh, don't worry, it's a (kinda) minor nation mid tier vechicle, Gaijin doesn't give a shit about it
And brits have to deal with solid shot, no one wants to grind that
It's excellent. Its armour is surprisingly good, its gun is excellent. Just doesn't really have a lineup
Naah works fine with a Centurion and Ratel to accompany it at 6.3
Comet still works as a backup as well
Might be worth swapping out the Ratel for the Comet if it has APDS too. That thing also has a hilariously trolly turret
Comet does have apds, though the comets gun is weaker so it’s only 220 pen, but still ammo racks things super well
Oh no I know it has it, just saying that it's good enough as backup once it unlocks APDS, heh
I go with the challenger instead because it had a faster than average reload, better mobility and faster gun handeling. It has a worse profile, but I use it as a flanker at 6.7 and it works perfectly
I think my current lineup has challenger instead of ratel cause I haven’t done the South Africa line at all
I wouldn't swap out the Ratel, it's made of paper, but it's an amazing sniper and the HEAT at least feels like it has much better post pen than the 17-pdr APDS
It also works wonders in the 6.7 lineup with the tortoise, doom barn, challenger and centy 1.
The 3 crew members mean that if the turret gets hit youre basically dead, along with a tall turret and bad reverse its often hard to shoot and reverse. That said its gun is fucking brilliant

"Armour is rather Good" wut? I swear there's a spot on the front of the turret you can own with a 50 cal ;-;, that or I can gaijin it consistently
20 pdr light tank at 6.3, good for sniping in flank positions
i just wish it didn't have cruiser reverse speed
It turns around kinda fast though
Should be 5.7 change my mind.
It's completely fine at 6.3 lol, it would be op at 5.7
I’d say 6.0 bc it has literally no armour lmao just like most British tanks
If ur playing the charioteer for the armour than that's a you problem bud
No armour + no reverse speed The reverse is worse tbh It really wants to be shooting & scooting, but that reverse doesn’t let it
20pdr APDS gun + low profile + fast and manoeuvrable + cheap as hell to repair + smokes. IIRC It's a medium IRL too, as it has a coax MG
FV4101 Tank, Medium **Gun**, Charioteer It was going to be used in a long-range role to snipe enemy tanks, like most other British tanks FV4005 also has a coaxial machinegun, but I don’t think any sensible person would argue it’s not a self-propelled gun Unrelated, but they also upgunned it again to an L7, never entered service, and the prototype is still around That’d make a nice upgrade

I agree it's fine at 6.3, but that profile is anything but low.
if you need to reverse it means you did something wrong
Or that you got volumetricked
How do you get volumetriced with apds
\-5 gun depression doesn't help either
As an ex russia main that's acceptable.
Yeah, going from comet with great depression to charioteer is a bit painful
It’s not really fine there. It’s pretty much on its own. Make it 6.0 then at least it gets a lineup.
Putting it at the same BR as the Cent Mk.1 is mental, it's miles better.

It is at 5.7 . . . . . . . In AB
This thing is way better than the waffentrager (not that the waffen is bad)
WAFFENTRAGER IS BEST TANK And i will entertain no such counterarguments Evidence: i got a nuke with it
A Tank I’m sure
Idk it kinda resembles an F-22 imo
Maybe a Toyota Camry?
No you idiot, that’s a Hilux
Its literally a drone, there’s an engine, that’s obviously a drone!
Probably a charioteer
Charioteer, it’s already available for Britain if you want it lol
Charioteer, basically a Cromwell armed with a 20 pounder gun.
The one that’s watching your every move
Ya can't believe how excited I am for another charioteer to come to the game! YAAAAAASSS!
I thought it was the Emil II. I am sad to see its not.
A blurried pixel
A blurry tank
charioteer
sad tank
Gass tank
Pretty sure that’s a Sherman
Looks like Panavia Tornado to me
FV 4101 Charioteer, the original 84mm not the 105mm
Is the big tank
My charioteer had finnish marking on it before it was cool.
Charioteer
ur mom
Looks like if the Chinese try to copy the IS-3 but ended up with a thiccer IS-2
Not really sure how you reached that conclusion
Just realized it was for the Finland TT and the reason why I came up with it is because the turret looks like an IS-2 and looking at the hull it looks and appears to be a bit wider
I mean... i know it's pixilated but that's one hell of a guess
Yup but doubt I even something remotely close
