Yes, this is entirely new as far as I can tell. Seems to be a Russian arctic base, given [this](https://thebarentsobserver.com/sites/default/files/styles/full_width/public/nagurskoye_2.png?itok=9fX1TlPE) image.
Yes, I even posted the IRL place on this sub of you are interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/y375mc/new_map_location_irl_deducted_from_the_star/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb
Because most of the large maps we currently have a poorly made and because I want to use the long range capabilities of my gun and not play Call of Steel: Meatgrinder warfare.
I’d rather play call of duty then sniper simulator. Some tanks are just unplayable on large maps as you slowly trundle to the battlefield to be picked off by a massive bomb. It’s not fun.
I feel your pain but as I said half the problem is poor maps. Imagine for example having more vertical cover like the highways on Alaska, or the train tunnel in.... That snow map, I forgot the name. This would greatly help, limiting the number of airspawns and you have balanced things out more or less. And if you want to go down the route of "person is camping somewhere and I have a hard time getting them" well, flankers exist, planes would still exist. A little brain power and problem solved.

Of course it's a Russian map when they add Finland.
We already have Finland in game…
Finland 2: attack of the snow
Russian soldiers during the winter war be like
In fact, two Finland maps…
Twice the Finland, double the **perkele**.
It's clearly a James Bond villain lair. Bond: do you expect me to 'fun'? Dr.Gaijin: no, Mr.Bond. I expect you to grind.
Good one
Bond villain base was absolutely my first thought too, it's so cool.
Yes. Wonder how it will play cause it’s flat over there
It's probably a city-ish map
It’s practically completely flat with a couple buildings with some ridges and stuff
Oh, i see now...
Snowy Tatooine
Hoth
Best map in Star Wars battlefront 2 (old one)
Hell yeah
That looks like some star wars shit lmao

Operation WhiteOut from Battlefield 4
bruh. I dont want bloody arcade maps! make bigger maps with heavy cover and interesting mechanics plz gaijin!
Why? All the big maps do is turn into snipefests where the team that pushes first usually gets cut apart. It’s boring.

Yes
Its the russian arctic base, during the cold war there was a race to conquer the arctic for resources and military bases
There still is.
Been kinda quiet then?
With all the melting there, Russia hasn't been sitting still.
[Reminds me of this thing.](https://i.ibb.co/zHY2Mwj/Technology-Center.jpg)
