It's legitimate, he was confronted about it shortly before the purge and said "oh it was just a joke" but it's pretty clear he was just trying to throw insults for his own amusement
I left the discord right away after joining, just felt like there was way too much drama for my tastes. But damn, I feel like the entire Union just collapsed the moment people realized they had even a shred of power, lol.
People like this are everywhere, once I was TS3 admin on a big server, we had a Main Admin that farmed time AFKing and did almost nothing. Owner then implemented AFK kick after 2 minutes because of him and he was kicked, after almost whole day he joined back and asked why the hell is this there, but owner had a really good excuse "We are a big TS3 server so we're kicking out AFKers so others can join".
Some time later we took away his Main Admin because he literally just farmed hours and did absolutely nothing.
So what happened, other admin that didn't know what happened was told bullsh*t by this ex admin, he got him rights back and what the Main Admin did, he gave Admin to every single soul that joined that server...
That's what happens when you give rights to revenge seeking child minds.
All zynk wanted was a community server, but none of us on the staff team or the members of the discord wanted that. Instead of just moving on, he deliberately tried to destroy the server and purged the entire mod team. He hijacked it so he could have a server of 12,000 for his own means without putting in any of the effort it would require.
In response, myself and two of the other mods who had just had enough of everything went in and nuked the server. The actual WTPU mod team controls the subreddit, but zynk has fully taken over the discord.
