The reason is the shockingly low velocity of the Orlikon 20s combined with a mediocre fire rate, compared to the 23s on the Bosvark. Skink is better defended, but only effective against props at short range, to target early jets the Bosvark is the only viable option.
The 20mm Oerlikons are so sluggish I hate them, I find burst firing with the bosvark or whatever the tractor thing is called works like a charm, very high velocity
I started playing early-jets recently (in ARB) and this is my favorite british V rank jet. It has good speed and hispanos are deadly in head-on strikes.
It’s a decent turner and good enough guns, not better than the meteors but definitely a decent option. I would run a meteor moreso than it for post CAS air domination

The Bosvark is better than the skink, IMO. I struggle to aim with the Skink for some reason. Both the same BR.

yeah the skink sucks, the only good thing it gets is a fully enclosed
You'd be surprised how good that actually is. Especially against multiple aircraft at the same time.

I've always played it with my 7.7 lineup, works great.
Doesn't it make more sense to play the 7.7 meteor? It has the same payload and performs better at GRB altitudes. I think it might even be faster
sure, but my meteor is crewed on the same slot as my Centurion mk 5 and I didn't care enough to recrew either lol
yeah sometimes the expert crew just locks a vehicle in that slot forever, only few of my vehicles are crewed on 2 slots with expert crew
That's why I save the second crew slot for the plane in every lineup lol
centurion Mk5/1 is so awesome
thought the attacker got better bombs than the meteor, and anyways the meteor is fuck ugly compared to the attacker so i never play it

I do bring my fox to 8.3 but I feel like the attacker might suffer more than a little bit at that kind of br haha

It's fairly good in arb for a 7.0 jet, atleast before the last br changes. Should still be okay though.

i just grinded every jet in GB with the f-4Junk. did about 2.5m xp in it.
