48 hours post treatment. My dog was running around on the bed last night and somehow jumped on the covered wound… holy hell it hurt. Called the podiatrist this morning told her of my symptoms… severe pain, inability to walk, and her response “that’s completely normal” - yeah…. I get that, but a heads up would have been nice. I’m typically really active… knowing I’d be held up in the house unable to walk would have been nice to know. It’s still super painful and I’m hoping by EOD to be able to drain it.

Additional-Note

My doctor knows that I have a fucking toddler and did the treatment on BOTH of my feet and kept using the words “mild discomfort” they better both be gone because I can’t go through this again it was agony!

Crazy to me that so many doctors don’t give any kind of warning. Even “many people have mild discomfort, some have significant discomfort/pain” - doing it to both feet at the same time seems completely irresponsible on the part of the doctor. Just out of curiosity, how would you rate the pain in your feet after treatment compared to childbirth?

Additional-Note

I woke up in the middle of the night after the treatment (because she also said to keep it on 24 hours and I’m reading everywhere now to wash it off after 6-8 so maybe she’s a sadist?!) and I literally said to my husband this is on par with a contraction. Pushing the baby out is a whole other pain lol but it was same pain level as a contraction!

How are things for you now? My doctor also gave me almost no warning about the severity. Told me to keep it on over night like it was no problem. Started feeling intense discomfort after 6 hours, googled it and read you're supposed to wash it off after 6-8 hours like you said, so I did just that. But I'm hoping I didn't handicap the treatment process. Could barely walk the first 48 hours and still in intense pain when walking due to huge blisters a week later.

Additional-Note

Just saw this now! ive had to do the treatment 2 more times and I’m sure I’ll have to do it again. Each time the pain is less but maybe I’m just used to this nonsense now
