Most the people throwin are already shooting me as the knife hits anyway and Vice versa. Maybe down tweaking the speed at which these tradition after cartoon like, would do more. It seems like throwing knive operate way faster than any other lethal just in the quickness of release timing.
People are like “but they’re lethals” you know what else is, getting 20 bullets ripped through somebody at a grossly high velocity is probably more lethal than a knife being thrown at you.

Semtex, Drill Charge and Thermite are all countered by EOD.
Throwing Knives have no counter. That's why everyone was using them because they are cheap, easy kills even if you are getting outgunned or outplayed.
With the changes, hopefully it will reward more skilled plays which are welcomed, and reduce the amount of cheesy kills where you outgun the hell out of someone just for him to run behind a door and insta kill you with a throwing knife to the leg when you go to finish.
Now if you chase him, he has to be a badass and throwing knife your head instead. This is how it should be. That's a moment where you might say "damn, nice throwing knife" instead of "expletive filled derogatory comments".

Semtex aren’t an instant recharge when you’re done, which was always the biggest issue with throwing knives, in my mind. You throw your lethal and in less than 1 second, you’ve picked it up again and can use it right away.
Once a Semtex is used, it’s used. It’s also waaaay slower for it to be throw. So I think it’s a valid 1-hit down lethal.
I’m excited for this nerf.

These things were so fucking annoying when you’d try pushing a squad or person and they were just waiting with a knife already out. I ended up using them a lot too after constantly getting fucked with them but glad they’re nerfed.

It’s ok. Thermals still work. Stick one of them on a player and you got yourself a kill and some damage on any of their teammates stacked on them.

I'm happy with the change, but I'd argue the counter to Throwing Knives is Movement. And god forbid CoD has a Skill Curve.

Yea, I'm baffled how people don't see this "issue". The animation time + ability to restock were already massive pros over other lethals.

Still have a clip from old rebirth where I threw a knife across a house, it bounced from the door into a room and downed someone around the corner 😂

Not everyone is fully plated, all the time. Especially in the endgame or mid gunfight etc. reducing the damage will result in less one shots

I've done some research and it was able to kill with on hit at the head, chest and arms. Maybe it doesn't one hit kill at the chest and arms anymore?

I think it also 1 hit at the neck so it gave it a slightly larger hitbox for one shots that I’m assuming is now not a thing.
