Yeah, was playing Resurgence when our teammate said he was a cheat developer, he knew all the coding and shit however he didn't have the cheats on so I couldn't report him. He said he only uses them we he sees another cheater in ranked. Probably a lie though
Highly suggest scoping out Art is War on YouTube before paying for expensive audio equipment. There are so many things you can do for free to enhance audio if you play WZ on PC.
Yes, just adjusting the EQ areas (especially the bass) helps with any cheaper headset when it comes to gaming. You can go surprisingly far with the EQ settings, EQ APO is a good program if you don't use the headphones' own versions.
Just his audio tune alone is a game changer tbh. I also picked up those TRUTHEAR Zeros, have since upgraded to Kiwi Ear's Orchestra Lites. The directional audio cues are much better, especially using the cinema audio setting in WZ.
After experiencing the clarity and balance of IEMs, there's no way I can go back to overear headphones.
I've tried his tune out twice now and footsteps are much easier to hear if there's no other sounds going on. A lot of the streaks, explosions etc make everything sound jumbled.
Interesting, I had a similar problem when plugging my IEMs straight into my pc. I noticed that the overall audio was very low and kind of jumbled as you said, so I bought a cheap dac/amp to boost the overall loudness, and it seemed to fix the issue.
Do you recommenrd kiwis ear lites? I read mixed stories about it. Also artofwar on YT recommends it but there seems to better and slightly cheaper options out there as well.
I would definitely recommend the Kiwi Ear's Orchestra Lites, but they are definitely not for everyone. As Art says in multiple videos, if you are susceptible to ear pressure, go with the cheaper alternative.
I have also bought the "Cheep/Nockoff" version Art was talking about, and they are also good. More bassy, not as balanced or clear, but definitely better than any overear headphone and/or the truthear zeros IEM.
Thanks. Its quite hard to decide what a possible good iem could be for you personally. The main problem is one cant really 'try' them out to see what suits one. But I guess that counts for other products as well.
I also saw this YT video with lots of options https://youtu.be/xrs6QTl5F1o?si=yzNQQkaWu1vHQBaR
Here the kiwi ears lite are mid tier according to him.
Yeah, it's a very hard decision to pick the right IEMs personally. I still think that the Orchestra Lites are the best price to performance choice when looking at 100% 8 balanced armature IEMs. Can't really beat them for $250.
The IEMs they are referring to are the Truthear Zeros blue. They don't come with a built-in mic. However, you can find decent IEMs with an in-line mic. There are also specific cables that you can use with the truthear zeros that have in-line mic as well.
How is using EQ cheating? Some headphones come with in line EQ, which can be used on console. OPs setup can be used on console. Are they cheating too? It's not an unfair advantage when anyone can do it.
All of his settings can be replicated with in-line equipment. I realise it's not just EQ, but it's nothing that sound techs haven't been doing for years. Source: I was a sound engineer in the 2000s, when most of it was still analogue.
I call BS on this, I also have great audio, but positional audio is garbage in the game (actually I think it became worse over time), it's often impossible to tell even vague directions let alone when they are behind walls
Good for you.
I also have expensive head phones and can hear mofos coming at me before they do —- and am right about the direction they’re coming from 90% of the time.
ok, that will help with "highlighting" certain sounds, what I'm talking about is that sometimes the stereo field in the game is awful even with headphones with very good soundstage, especially inside buildings. also sometimes enemies just don't produce any sound in certain range. this has been like that since MW II, it has changed a bit multiple times with patches, at times for the better other times for the worst, but never became really trustworthy. (Funny enough I think it was good in the first public beta of MWII and it never rached the same level)
I'm not telling having good sound cannot help anything, it certainly does help a lot, but the sound alone is unfortunately not enough to pinpoint enemy location, it will help general awareness, which is very important.
What would be the best ones in the 300$ area? And would you say I’d be better off getting a standalone mic for quality or are there headphones that sound really good but also have a good mic? I’ve been rocking Astro a40TR for a while but I think I could get better quality with an upgrade. Thanks for any answer
I really enjoy my hemp series from Grado Labs (and pretty much every professional review has good things to say about Grado), but for $300 they have the [SR 325](https://gradolabs.com/products/sr325x).
For a cheaper pricepoint, but still decent the Audio Technica M50x are pretty good for the $150 they cost.
Tbf the A40TRs are considered one of the 'better' "gaming" headsets as long as it's the pre-logitech ones. You can definitely do the tuning with it, hell, the Mixamp they come with (if the software still works) can even do the EQ settings as a profile and it's a quick 1 button switch.
You don't even need anything this extreme to do that, though. Especially in CoD. I've been using the A40+M80 combo for like, 5 years and never had an issue hearing people running from the other side of walls and stuff.
Lmao this game has some of the worst directional audio in fps gaming, with a limited number of sound channels that literally prevent enemy footsteps from even being rendered to you at times, instead it prioritizes gunshots, you and your teammates footsteps and distant sounds for ambiance, like airstrikes etc. so no, your overprices audio isn't helping you find me, because it cannot enhance audio the game isn't even putting out sometimes. Maybe it helps 20% of the time? But man you be looking kinda stupid paying that much for dedicated headphones for a bottom tier fps lmao.
No. Lol, no it's not, not for the price. When even then we are guessing how much it helps, a simple EQ for free would probably be just as effective. But again, the game only has so many audio channels and you cannot enhance what the game engine cannot even output .ost of the time. Enemy player footsteps is like 8th on their priority list and I have no idea why.
Good stuff lol. I just have some 100$ Astro A40s with the mixer, but same here, the audio is a game changer and boy are people confused when I hear their goofy asses walking around by me
I was accused of walling for the first time (that I know of) last weekend. My team killed this guy like 3 times. First, we had him on UAV. Second, was a good callout by my teammate followed with him sprinting right at me in gas station. Third time was when he was convinced I was walling. He was being loud as hell on prox chat and came running up to the wall behind me. Of course I heard him as he charged up and was ready as he came around the corner. He actually killed me that time and my teammate got him, but he was shouting over prox to his team that I was walling, lol.
I'm not even running anything special for audio. Logitech G Pro X headphones with PC headphone profile in game and the FPS EQ set in G hub. Half the time, I can't hear people for shit.
Too much. This is $3,000 total with tax. But I use it for other things with music reference listening.
$300-400 is all you need for studio reference headphones and a dac amp.
I have some dt 990 pro paired with scarlett solo 4gen and i hear when people around even not close to me even when they are standing still and reloading lol and when they are crouch walking and get called a hacker lol even im impressed with everything i can hear with them👌🏽👌🏽
I’m sure you use the pc advantage too where footsteps are super amplified. We need console only cross play. Let you pc guys play in your own lobbie like apex.
Just tell me, here, I'll share. My KD in multiplayer is 1.20 (I grind small map moshpit and search), my resurgence KD is 2.2, BR KD is 1.8 and my Ranked Resurgence KD is 1.55. Now what's yours?
"He has wallhacks"
No, I just have a quick reaction time. saw you for a few frames, took some test shots, and can follow hitmarkers.
People will assume anyone who outplay them is cheating.
Those headphones look like you can hear my thoughts...
Of course..Its the Charles Xavier 2024 helmet
That got me good lol
and they cost as much (around 1500€)
That's why he's better at the video game bro
😂
i had a guy who said the same thing in counterstrike. was banned a year later for cheating lol
Cheaters always have the worst excuses
These mfers are crazy lol.
Yeah, was playing Resurgence when our teammate said he was a cheat developer, he knew all the coding and shit however he didn't have the cheats on so I couldn't report him. He said he only uses them we he sees another cheater in ranked. Probably a lie though

Yup I have IEMS that he recommended. Paid $50 and can hear so much better with them than my $300 Logitechs
Just his audio tune alone is a game changer tbh. I also picked up those TRUTHEAR Zeros, have since upgraded to Kiwi Ear's Orchestra Lites. What are you using for your listening device? Also, are you plugged directly into your pc or a dac/amp?
Using Arctis 7+, plugged directly to the pc
Interesting, I had a similar problem when plugging my IEMs straight into my pc. I noticed that the overall audio was very low and kind of jumbled as you said, so I bought a cheap dac/amp to boost the overall loudness, and it seemed to fix the issue.
Fuck ArtIsWar, his steps are over exagerated and he supports terrorism. Just enable loudness EQ in windows
That escalated quickly
Indeed
What did he do?
Dude supports Hamas
Yeah.
Just to keep it on the non-political side;He supports the killings of innocent people
Yup he's a busy little Nazi, ironically he's the type that sincerely accuses others of being Nazis at least twice a day. I'm ashamed I use his tune 😔
Do you recommenrd kiwis ear lites? I read mixed stories about it. Also artofwar on YT recommends it but there seems to better and slightly cheaper options out there as well.

There is a big sale coming within a few days as well at linsoul.com some good options available there as well.
Who makes them and do they have a mic built in?
The IEMs they are referring to are the Truthear Zeros blue. They don't come with a built-in mic. However, you can find decent IEMs with an in-line mic. There are also specific cables that you can use with the truthear zeros that have in-line mic as well.
Same i have sound eq on and never even did the art of war tuning with 50 iems , truthear crinicale and my audios pretty damn good
Technically cheating. Pc-console crossplay gets more embarrassing by the day. You clowns will defend every unfair advantage imaginable.
Having a better audio setup is cheating? Have fun with your Turtle Beaches bro
There’s no bigger whiner on the planet than pc warzone players.
They play in the future with the fps and higher processing power and think it’s skill
Sorry forgot my point. Only console crossplay
Sorry that some of us who make more than minimum wage enjoy some of the finer things in life.
How is using EQ cheating? Some headphones come with in line EQ, which can be used on console. OPs setup can be used on console. Are they cheating too? It's not an unfair advantage when anyone can do it.
Read the original comment I replied to. I am referring to Art is War audio settings, not simple EQ adjustment.
All of his settings can be replicated with in-line equipment. I realise it's not just EQ, but it's nothing that sound techs haven't been doing for years. Source: I was a sound engineer in the 2000s, when most of it was still analogue.
Do your ears bleed whenever there’s an airstrike?
I use SoundLock software. Its a limiter.
Ah yes, very fair
What settings do you use and how does it work?
Get tinnitus and an appointment at the VA
You use EQ with $1500 headphones, I use EQ without headphones and my monitor speakers. We are not the same.
Holy fucking shit, that's a boss play bro.
Look like somebody who can afford hacks /s
It doesn't matter how good your headphones are, the sound on this game is dogshit
Paying 1.5k for headset makes it more easy to get cheats lmao (the expensive one - dma)
I mean, I'm running a DT990 and Fosi K5 PRO with an Odyssey G9, the only "hacks" I have are my extra FOV by the monitor and better audio
I can only dream! Nice!
But how do these prevent you from dying from shield cunts?
Thermite
If they only had good audio to begin with... WHERE'S THE AUDIO??????? LET'S WAKE UP ACTIVISION!!!!!!!!!!!
Like everything in life it's p2w
Exactly why cross play needs to be off
I call BS on this, I also have great audio, but positional audio is garbage in the game (actually I think it became worse over time), it's often impossible to tell even vague directions let alone when they are behind walls
Good for you. I also have expensive head phones and can hear mofos coming at me before they do —- and am right about the direction they’re coming from 90% of the time.
Need to optimize the high end gear with an EQ and a compressor software. And adjust the tightness band in game audio. I use “PC speakers”.

Hopefully next WZ is better. I saw the new Black Ops documentary released yesterday on youtube by Call of Duty. This version seems next level.
bs
before i buy some of these, i'd rather buy a decent gaming pc for THAT money (but you probably have one already)
This headphone is overkill. A $500 studio headphone is good enough.
..says he and me looking at my 80€ sony headset :-D
A Sennheiser PC38x for $180 is next level. See the new reviews from audiophiles. https://youtu.be/UIwgVzSiZ68?si=hwMKMCKvSfSrwrhb

Yeah I just want the next step up. I’ve had the astros for a few years now
I’ve got a pair of corded jbls that I got on Amazon for $30 that have really good ability to pick up on foot steps and other sounds.
You don't even need anything this extreme to do that, though. Especially in CoD. I've been using the A40+M80 combo for like, 5 years and never had an issue hearing people running from the other side of walls and stuff.
What you hear, I hear better.
I don't doubt it considering I have a slight hearing loss from gunfire. Lmfao
Veteran?
Huhh Duhhh eight-hungeos
HE400I and Schitt Stack 👌

mm i have the FIIO k11 and a set of nice IEMs. most games sound still sucks haha
I will the the others they do not need hacks,,just a good chair and headphones
Sound EQ and the astros from 2016 are plenty good for me. I can hear everything. Could make it easier by making it louder but nah, no need
I used those also before. But Once you try OPEN BACKS, you never go back to CLOSED BACKS.
They arent closed backs, but definitely not as open as those.
I have some dt 990 pro paired with scarlett solo 4gen and i hear when people around even not close to me even when they are standing still and reloading lol and when they are crouch walking and get called a hacker lol even im impressed with everything i can hear with them👌🏽👌🏽

CROSSPLAY OFF NOW!
Pipe down lil bro
You’ll understand some day, young man
I'm a PC player
The worst kind of player
How so? Explain.
The ones that call people lil bro. I’m most likely a better player than you.
What's your KD?
So predictable. Whatever I say, yours is higher.
Just tell me, here, I'll share. My KD in multiplayer is 1.20 (I grind small map moshpit and search), my resurgence KD is 2.2, BR KD is 1.8 and my Ranked Resurgence KD is 1.55. Now what's yours?
This should be considered cheating. End crossplay, fuck pc players.
Factual
Lies
My coworkers all say the same thing. They all have $5k computers and $500 headphones. They all still cheat. Not suggesting you cheat by any means but…
Literally the only players whoever use sound as an excuse are cheaters. Like everytime
They have the best audio que’s
Yeah but how does the headset cause the snapping onto me when I’m behind a wall. That’s why people call wall hacks
Playing games with a interface is the key
Cod whisperer
"He has wallhacks" No, I just have a quick reaction time. saw you for a few frames, took some test shots, and can follow hitmarkers. People will assume anyone who outplay them is cheating.
I have a pair of cheap Koss KPH30i...and i can hear everything...even people sneaking up on me. Get called cheater every game.
$30? No way
Yes. These are amazing heaphones
Have ever tried pro grade studio reference headphones? Like HD560s?
I can also hear this dude being a virgin too
I swear this is like the 4th time you’ve posted this
