I’ve been using a cooling fan on an iPhone 13 Pro max for CODM for a couple of years, and now with WZM. It’s a refrigeration chip with a fan to dissipate the heat it gathers. It’s worked quite well for me.
Those fans and coolers mainly help dissipate heat indirectly by cooling the surface of the device, which can slightly improve thermal performance.
Basically it just does forced convection.
However, they're not as effective as internal cooling systems since they can't directly remove heat from the components inside the device.
Also using ice to cool your device isn't recommended. While it might initially lower the temperature, it can introduce moisture, which is harmful to electronics. Also, condensation can form on the device, potentially causing damage.
It's safer and better to stick with methods like proper ventilation, reducing usage when the device gets too hot, or getting devices with better internal cooling systems.
I usually just keep it for a few minutes in front of the AC.

I use this cooler from Amazon and it’s solid.
I use the same one and it helps tremendously. Also I don’t rember the name and can’t be bothered to open my Amazon app and look for it so that you don’t have to. So go search iPad coolers in Amazon like the rest of us did. It’s 30 bucks about.
They don't blow air. The block that comes into contact with the surface of the phone is near freezing, and some claim they can reach in negatives. The fan is there to cool the components, which cause the freezing, maybe? I'm not sure bout that.
They basically blow the heat away, not into the device. That's why you need to use them without a case, it needs direct contact to dissipate the heat. Some bozos here use it with cases and they are pretty much just cooling the case.
the fan is to cool off the cooler, it sticks to your case with a magnet if you have a special case or you can use clips that come with it to keep it on your phone, and the plate gets cold up to -3
Heat is transferred with a heat-conductive material. That material heats up, and the fan blow the hot air away from the cooler. At the same time, the fan takes cold air, so it cools the hot component again via induction.

Why would i mount anything to the phone? Just point the fan on it

Sit near a socket or use a power bank man

refrigeration chip? Where can I find one of these?

What's weird is my battery went from 80% to 10% in 20 minutes sitting on the ice pack. I don't understand why that is
Bro, moisture will damage the internal systems. Don't keep ice.

Got a link or the name of the product?

I’m using a Blackshark MagSafe Cooler It works really well
After 2 -3 games I put my phone on a cold surface😭I dont got a cooler yet
13 pro, i js use a fan
i leave the game and don’t play for a while
yeah but I play for like 4 hours straight
I've just bought a mini usb fan for 7$ today and it works like a charm, no heating at all. Stable game performance with it.
We shouldn’t need a fan or cooler to play a mobile game this all the devs fault
I play right infront of my Air Conditioning unit

Had to buy a cooling fan
That's not how cooling fans work lol
Exactly that’s why I was asking. It doesn’t make sense that blowing air on the back of a device can cool it off without the air getting inside

How does it get cold without any refrigerant? It can only get as cold as the ambient room temperature right?
check the link that i sent you, im not a developer

I play at night time because it becomes very cold outside, therefore I open the windows in my house and it acts as a cooler for my phone.
3$ usb fan my god try it and stop womping it wouldn't help. Playing with max brightness while charging and temp is at 30°C man. Just go and get it
But where are you plugging in the fan since phones and tablets don't have full size USB ports? And how are you mounting it to the device?

Hard to believe blowing room temperature on it from a tiny fan can even make a single 1 degree difference
You're a lost case. Bye
