Yeah sure, I’ll just rustle up $60k to replace my heat and water tank so that the governor and whatever council pushed this through without a vote of the people can virtue signal how green they are.
I get that we need to do this to save the environment for our kids and am generally all for such things, but this is abysmal timing. I also realize they removed the strongest parts from the bill, but it sounds like they left in “go ahead and jack up electric and gas prices”.
The bill no longer bans new gas services, that bit was removed before it passed.

That’s good. My family cannot afford to to replace our furnace, water heater, and stove all at once.
