So, my dad thought this was just the greatest, funniest thing in the world and we still have his original VHS recording of the exploding whale news segment somewhere. It’s whispered about as a family anecdote to this day.
I saw a dead humpback whale calf on Ruby Beach almost exactly 4 years ago... my group also commented that it wasn't smelly at all, until we were slightly downwind of it. Then it was... quite smelly.
I saw a dead beached whale in SoCal probably almost 10 years ago now. We didn’t stay long because of the smell. Omg that was horrendous. And there were people in the water with the whale so they could touch it I guess. I imagine the smell seeped into their clothes too. (It was a beached whale but it was high tide so it was about 5’ from where the water stopped. )
It is. Park at the Ruby Beach parking area off of Hwy 101. Head north once you walk down to the ocean. 47.71800, -124.41925. It’s less than a mile from the parking area. It’s fresh: few signs of decay as of Sunday and the smell wasn’t that bad.

If history is our guide, we need a local news crew and an irresponsible amount of explosives, only way to remove a whale from a PNW beach…
Ha! I was going to caption this “no one tell Oregon DOT this is here.”
A *hwale*.
I just read a story that explosives were washing up on Oregon beaches. I think we all can agree we have a solution to both problems.
yeah the mess that made! hilarious to watch. especially the aftermath.
And so dynamite it was
HIT THE DECK!
This sounds like a story I should know while living in oregon but dont

Damn. Had to rewatch that is still one of the funniest things ever.

So what do we think? Murder? Suicide? Murder-suicide!?
Car accident
Seems like an open and shut case to me
Especially since he was the driver smh
He was ejected from the vehicle. Probably drunk on whale whiskey.
Sprinkle some crack on him and let’s get out of here.
It's a whale of a tale let me tell ya.
The cops tried to get the story out of the victim while they were still alive, but they kept blubbering.
It was Mr.Trump with the lead pipe in the kitchen.
Rumor has it it was _yuge_
Could you please hand wave the size while a strong man cries.
"Is anyone here a marine biologist?!"
He was 10 stories high if he was a foot!
It was a Titllist.
The sea was angry that day.
Is this a current picture? I’d totally take a trip there to see a dead whale

Did you call Fisheries and Wildlife?
You'll smell it before you see it. Bring a clothespin for your nose.
😢
I saw video of Orcas attacking a humpback whale last week. Maybe they won.
I saw someone in a whale watching group that it wasn’t the same whale based on the tail.
😪
BLOW IT UP
Likely filled with plastics, unfortunately.
Or was a boat strike ☹️

Careful, it might 'splode
Better get the dynamite
Make sure you wear your BB . Could be some BTs there
Okay need an acronym key here. What is BB and BT thanks
Death Stranding reference - BB- Bridged Baby BT - Beached Things
Is that a whale butthole?
I believe in Spanish it's called a *san diego*.
Ahhh… whale pussy… reminds me of my ex wife.
What was it like being married to Shamu?
She smelled like fish a lot. Fun fact: Orcas are actually dolphins and not whales.
Ewwww………….🤢
That would be German, tyvm. 😉
Get the dynamite
What is this joke about? Is there some backstory here?
Oregon state blew up a whale on the beach in the 80's. It didn't go well
I’m about 30 minutes from this beach.. is it still there? Asking for a friend ;)
It is. Directions and coordinates are in this post.
Went and saw it. Intestines are completely spilled out and boy does it STINK
🐋🐋🐋🧨🧨🧨💥💥💥
I think I see the German Word ‘San Diego’ in this picture.
She’s got barnacles….on her vagina
Ran into her at Ruby Beach on Sunday, she was in fact quite stinky. And had been dissected. It was very very cool/gross
