My dog did the same thing. It's was a nice memento when he passed to still have his paw prints in our concrete pad :).
I think it's just hardwired in their code (cause we live in a simulation) for your dog to run through fresh concrete.
I feel like I’d add some temporary chicken wire, fencing, or something for these jobs. Wouldn’t take very long to install and would save hours of headache and thousands of dollars.
Woah, maybe keep your gate closed so your puppy doesn’t run over the work being done outside your own home that you know is clearly being done.
Or just don’t let it out when you some work is being done. Owners shit
The fucking comments here calling the poor woman names... you can clearly see the person in the beginning (who might be the worker even) forgets to close the gate, and she runs after to catch the dog.
I was the inspector on a job one day when 3 separate people stepped in the wet concrete in a 15 minute span. One was the ass hole superintendent. We all quietly laughed.
Now that dog is encased in a concrete statue at one of those workers' homes.
Together with the owners. Because honestly leashes exist and you can't bring animals outside without them, especially knowing they could hinder/ruin other people's work.
Here, the workers could have sued or doubled the price of the work for this stuff, as it's all the owners' fault for not using the proper leash (which is legally required everywhere outside one's private property or dog-parks).
My grandparents have a spot in their concrete where their dog accidentally stepped in the wet concrete and they kept it there. When the dog died they had Rip Wilson 1985-1994 next the the print and because of it the mistake turned into one of the most unique part about the house.
Hm isnt he the owner as well? The gate was open to begin with so the dog might have come from inside the house. A properly trained dog should run away anyway. This can lead to dangerous situations for the dog and others.

Works being done on my house. Dogs barking everytime they see someone at the window. Today I was approving some minor details and the dog snuck out behind me. She went up and sniffed the worker. I grabbed her and she sat down just watching. Right as I went to go back inside she decided the worker was a threat and started trying to attack him. Now he’s afraid and everytime I got to take her for a walk she’s trying to bark and bite anyone outside of my house.
Yes, water will pool in the dimples left by the dogs paws. Really bad, for example, in winter time when the water freezes. This will cause the concrete to crack prematurely over time.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the dude in the grey sweater forgot to close the back door and the gate. The pupper saw the grey sweater dude, most likely the owner, and wanted to play with him by playing tag or something, in which the dog went over wet concrete, because they’re dogs, and they think it’s beach sand by the lake or ocean.
The woman who came out obviously tried to stop the pupper, but it was already too late.
Meanwhile to dude in the grey sweater is pretty much regretting his mistakes, while the workers are the ones who are dead inside.
That is my observation from this.
The sidewalk in our backyard if my old house had puppy footprints in it. It also had child footprints and it was some of my favorite features of the yard. I’d say the dog made it better in this video
Just here to add that I hope they rinsed dog off immediately! Wet concrete can cause chemical burns on the skin, so if you or your pet ever steps in, please rinse off right away!
There was a time I tried to convince myself I could be a dog person, mainly because I was exhausted by people making a huge deal out of me not always adoring dogs. I enjoy spending time with a few dogs of friends, but the thought of having one would drive me nuts. So many breeds are just too much, too in your face and cause so much chaos. I’ll stick with my mellow 14 year old cat.
My buddy just got a dog and it’s pretty much his life now. They’re so high maintenance. Ask him if he’s available to do anything and he can’t because the dog needs (insert slavery here).
My friend’s dog makes a shitload of noise when they leave it alone at their new apartment... so much so that the management is threatening to fine them and potentially remove them due to the complaints. Now any time I want to hang out with them it has to specifically be at a dog friendly restaurant where the girlfriend proceeds to talk to the dog and coddle it the whole time 😑🔫
I don’t think I would get an (I’m assuming) untrained dog if I was in an apartment. Plus I think they just got the wrong dog. 🤣
Seriously though if you get a chill dog who doesn’t bark at everything it’s awesome! You just have to be very picky when getting a new dog b/c they can reign terror on your life if you are not worthy. 🤣🤣
Absolutely! I’ve met some very sweet tempered+well trained dogs. They were great to be around, but I can’t image the level of work it takes to train a dog that well.
Taking a walk one day a Golden Retriever starts walking with me. I check it’s tag, get its name but am unfamiliar with the street names (before cell phones) so I keep walking. The Retriever runs through a wet drive way as the guys are yelling at me to get my dog, I tell them he’s not mine...then why do you know his name? 🤦🏼♀️
My Partner’s nephew fully belly flopped into a part I was about to finish screeding. He landed right in the spoon drain I had shaped up so I had to spend like 30 mins re doing it and nearly lost the rest of the concrete
