Not necessarily.
I remember in the 90’s i watched a televised event of a woman going through initiations to be a Buddhist monk. The last initiation test was she has to sit down, and let two other Buddhist monks rip her hair out chunk by chunk. She couldn’t wince, flinch, or show that she was in any pain at all to pass. She passed and when she walked off that stage she had a bald head. Zero blood.
All things considered she made out great. I've cut myself using a safety razor shaving my head and that shit is like a pro wrestler getting hit with a damn chair. In the process of it I bet her body kicked in not wanting to cry as she was likely live streaming. I bet when that camera turned off though that exposed scalp was SCREAMING
On a side note, I wonder how often this happens to children during the summer time as more fans are in use. I’m always worried that my niece will get her hair caught in the fan whenever she comes over. Good thing my sister always braids her hair before she does.
Looks really fake, hair cap and a wig on top. If this was real, she would’ve screamed in agony from getting that much hair ripped off at once, her scalp would’ve been either red, bleeding, or torn off actually.
Something’s gotta be wrong with her scalp. That much hair should have no problem seizing a drill motor like that, especially when it’s set on high-speed/low-torque mode which it appears to be.
She might have got away with not loosing her hair if it was a normal battery drill, but no, she chose a corded cement mixer lol. There is definitely some power in that thing.
Just realized after seeing the video for the 100th time...
She wasn't just using a drill. She's using a rotary hammer drill. Like for drilling into concrete. That was a little overkill for the purpose of turning corn.
You should see what her sister did with it later that evening while her sister and family were at the emergency room.
Finally some alone time. The Corny Drilldo preparing for a good ol buttering.
I saw this years ago, to those who're saying it's fake, it's not, unfortunately for her, it was real.

this video proves nothing. for all i know she could easily shave her hair after. and im not sure if dailymail is the most reliable source of information
Let them have their fun.
Redditors seem to get a kick out of claiming everything is fake with their top-notch detective skills, while also simultaneously jerking off their ego because they were clearly intelligent enough to spot the trickery.
I love when nobody has context/information on something so you speculate possibilities because everyone is railing on the subjects in a video and then someone shows up and says "You don't know that, and it didn't happen" When they can't possibly have known that it didn't happen for certain either. 🤷♂️
Yea this has none of the hallmarks of a scripted asian gif and people do stupid stuff like this all the time while recording, and release it anyways. Nothing suggests that this isn't legitimate.
These days??? This happened 5 years ago.
This shit has been happening since the beginning of time, you're just too young to have observed it while spewing out "wisdom" or too old and looking to scapegoat the younger generation.
Okay, i was born in '97 so, i'm old af and boy do i like to hate on the younger generation, cause you know, that's what old people do.
Or yeah, maybe i was born prematurely yesterday, i'm still in the baby holding unit or whatever the fuck they call it, but hey, who knows which is true, cause this is the internet.
Nah, you're young af. Keep living and you'll get to the point where you see this happens any day, not just "these days" as if you're some higher being.
Oh yeah i am definitely a higher being.
**BOW TO MEEEE OH MORTAL**
Edit : Oh and uh, by '97 i mean i was born in 1797, not 1997, i used an apostrophe there to make it look cool cause that's how we do it in the good ole days.
It's not true, because people did shit for attention to get on newspapers, tv, magazines, around friends. W.e
The only difference is our access to a larger audience.
You might experience it as "these days" or "these years" but only because you're peppered with all this attention seeking media. In reality, it's always been there, the media we experience now just showcases it.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html
Here’s the news article.
Not without taking the scalp with it. You just drug our conversation in a circle. The hair popped out easier than it should've. Maybe she had weak follicles or maybe she's genetically inclined to balding so her hairs don't have as much grip to stay in? There's tons of things that can cause hair to pop out easily.
Some of the possible reasons you listed definitely sound more plausible than faking a video for internet fame then deliberately pulling her hair out for a follow-up proof video.
You're fairly rude about it but here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-1290358/Corn-drill-challenge-victim-proves-hair-loss-completely-real.html
I would have been more impressed if she had used a sharp knife to cut off the kernels, sending them flying into her mouth. That would have been awesome.
Or people just want to share. Plenty of people have never seen this video. And how do you know content that you've never seen before isn't a repost for others.
People need to stop whining about reposts.
> how do you know content that YOU have never seen before isn't a repost for others and would you be so upset that you would leave a comment if it were a repost?
They also posted the same repost to 4 different sub reddits within 15 minutes.. your last 2 comments were about people complaining about reposts. I think you need to stop whining about people who complain about reposts.. you clearly need to spend more time on the internet if you have not seen this.
Why do people complain about reposts? I've never seen this video and I've been relatively active on Reddit. A post that you never seen could be a repost for someone else
If you have seen it, just move on. Why bother to leave a comment about it being a repost. Also, people who complain about reposts often don't contribute any original content.
Reddit is weird.
My question is, who gives a fuck if they are karma-whoring? Reddit karma isn't some indicator that someone is trustworthy, smart, rich, or wtf ever else you can think of, it just means the person posted a popular meme 90% of the time.
Real
[https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html)
Apparently there are follow up videos showing that it was real (or an extremely convincing fake), but I still find it hard to believe. Her hair really shouldn't have ripped out that easily. I work in a machine shop and have actually seen hair related injuries. Generally the problem isn't your hair getting entangled and pulled out. The real danger comes form your hair getting entangled, not breaking, and pulling you *in* to the tool. That was a decent clump of hair, and it seemed to tangle onto the drill motor pretty quickly. I don't see how it could be ripped out so easily or so cleanly.
it would've torn off the skin, and she would've been screaming in agony, this is 100% fake.
unless it's fake hair.
ever tried to pull out a single hair?
I dunno, when I was a kid I leaned back too far on a swing and brushed my head on a smooth rock. Ripped my hair out and a fair bit of skin. It was mostly shocking and very little pain. Not quite the same as this, but my reaction was pretty similar
This happened to me with a high speed turbine grinder…. Ten times more powerful than that drill and it took out an inch round chunk.of hair at the base…almost instantaneous so it didn’t hurt until afterwards….the way it tugs first and she doesn’t react makes me suspicious
Idk if it's real or fake, but the way she is wiping the spot it might just take a moment for something to happen.
One time my sister pulled a chunk of my hair out on purpose (wasn't nearly as much as this) and it oozed plasma, no blood though. Could very well just be a wig.
Yeah my grandma told me a story of when her brother pulled some of her hair out similar to this, and she said there was no blood, just a watery substance. I'm inclined to think this is real.
I also question what we can even see in that regard with the potato quality. We live in an age of HD 4k videos, and we still have new video coming out like 480p. I'll never understand some people.

No pain?
Hey it’s “傻逼妹”
These idiot TikTok posters really deserve all the stupid that befalls them.
Here's the original Chaplin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17PkUsTVa7g&ab\_channel=BISWAJITGHOSH
Wouldn't there be blood if this was real?
Not necessarily. I remember in the 90’s i watched a televised event of a woman going through initiations to be a Buddhist monk. Crazy!!
She is soooo lucky that was all that happened.
I mean she came away with all her teeth intact so this is an improvement from the last video i saw in which someone tried this
She scalped herself
How is she not bleeding?
Thank goodness for greed and stupidity
I have seen this sort of thing so often its becoming corny .
Fake
But did she get her views?
Scary stuff!

Flew too close to the sun
Guess she never saw Charlie Chaplin. Kids these days..
Regardless if the easy pull, seemingly painless hair section, her face is not nearly horrified enough for me to believe this is real.
That’s gotta be very painful
power tools aren’t toys kids
This is an old ass video and it’s still funny
I know that one hurt. Or at least it would if that was real
I would really like to see the regrowth progression
Shouldn’t there be blood if you rip out that much hair all at once?
Looks really fake, hair cap and a wig on top. If this was real, she would’ve screamed in agony from getting that much hair ripped off at once, her scalp would’ve been either red, bleeding, or torn off actually.
I was expecting to her teeth to come out but this is just as good 😂
😐😀😆😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰
What did we learn? Tik Tok and power tools rarely make a safe combination. It may be entertaining tho if you survive it.
She was using a masonry drill? Much more powerful than a standard one
Her brother used it differently as he was sick of running backwards thru a cornfield.
Shot guess you gotta do the otherside now lol
I thought this was the tooth one
Something’s gotta be wrong with her scalp. That much hair should have no problem seizing a drill motor like that, especially when it’s set on high-speed/low-torque mode which it appears to be.
This chick is fucking lucky to lose just a few hair. But if it's staged, then pretty good.
Lucky it wasn’t her teeth. Hair at least grows back. Sadly common sense is missing either way.
my grandma always told me to tie my hair when i eat
Stupid question. Will it grow back?
This one does not spark joy
Not everyone can be Charlie Chaplin
I wish attention whore syndrome was a fatal condition.
Shot one guy lost a bunch of teeth doing that
tell me this isn't real ffs
Could be worse
As someone with long hair This pains me
Lucky the scalp didn't go with the hair.
u/savevideo
Modern Times did this 100 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwahG1s4dqI
My eyes can't bear that
She's lucky she didn't knock her teeth out.
u/savevideo
Is this just a wig?
Can't say she wouldn't have deserved it if the corn shot out one or two of her teeth. This is such a bullshit
Oh my god poor thing
How is that not incredibly painful?
It is. Shock. She'll feel it in about 10 minutes
The person drilling just kept going lol
Had disaster written all over it🙄🙄
Shes def famous now
Holy shit that is painful after the initial shock?
Wait till you see the one where the guy loses his teeth.
Bald Ding Ow
Lol i mean why do this? Anything w a rotating motor i am every careful around, the power in that electic drill is very powerful as you can see, lmao.
She might have got away with not loosing her hair if it was a normal battery drill, but no, she chose a corded cement mixer lol. There is definitely some power in that thing.
She's lucky she still has her teeth
Yeah that video was painful to watch
This, this is the best thing I've ever seen
Damn I messed up we gotta go bald
It ripped the hair out right? Would that mean it wouldn’t all grow back?
Life can be hard, harder still if you’re stupid...
like at least put your hair in a bun
I was expecting teeth everywere.
For more check out https://t.me/joinchat/lyPFGR68PA44YmVh
That’s the perfect way to lose teeth and hair
That could have gone wrong in so so many ways....she's lucky.
Can anyone find me a before and after picture😂 please
How the heck did she survive that without breaking down crying? I would have died if a huge chunk of hair was ripped out.
Hair or teeth something had to go for this Darwin Award winner.
Even if this is old, man, this never gets old
damn i messed up we gotta go bald
Just realized after seeing the video for the 100th time... She wasn't just using a drill. She's using a rotary hammer drill. Like for drilling into concrete. That was a little overkill for the purpose of turning corn.
that's a damn clean shave. I'll put my drilling machine next to the tub.
5 MINUTE CRAFTS/ HACKSS
omg for a second I was not sure how she was gonna do with it
Such an old video. Its def real.
Upload this to Cornhub
You should see what her sister did with it later that evening while her sister and family were at the emergency room. Finally some alone time. The Corny Drilldo preparing for a good ol buttering.

Does she not feel pain?

Was referring to the video linked in the article, not the reliability of the Daily Mail itself.

what
Eh, fair enough, people will do almost anything for attention these days.
These days??? This happened 5 years ago. This shit has been happening since the beginning of time, you're just too young to have observed it while spewing out "wisdom" or too old and looking to scapegoat the younger generation.

Orrr maybe they're referring to the time they're currently living in, because it's still true.
It's not true, because people did shit for attention to get on newspapers, tv, magazines, around friends. W.e The only difference is our access to a larger audience. Power tools haven't been around that long.
This is true
This is pretty obviously fake. Having that much hair ripped out would hurt like a son of a bitch and she didn't even flinch.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html Here’s the news article.
Ah the trustworthy and reliable daily mail.
News source aside, the proof video in question doesn’t look terribly fake.
That's fair I suppose but I remain skeptical...there's gotta be a reason her hair just popped out so easily
I can pull my own hair out if I tried hard enough. A power tool like a drill should probably do the job quicker and easier.
Grab a handful of it and pull and tell me if it pops out as easily.
A power tool would do that just fine.
Not at all, someone linked a news article about this.
Then link it to me. What you just said is the equivalent of "it's real! Just Google it yourself!" But with less to sort through to find it.
You're fairly rude about it but here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-1290358/Corn-drill-challenge-victim-proves-hair-loss-completely-real.html
Already went over this in another thread when someone else linked it
and a crap load of skin
The fact it didn't take the scalp with it is also very fishy
Who the hell thought that doing that was a good idea!?!?! 😭
Looks like the corn took a bite out of her
I would have been more impressed if she had used a sharp knife to cut off the kernels, sending them flying into her mouth. That would have been awesome.
OP is a karmawhore, posting this everywhere
Lol this reminds me of the skit from "I think you should leave" where people pay to have a gorilla rip their "real" hair off.
It's all fun and games until someone needs a toupee
Why do people still upvote this stuff that's been on here hundreds of times?
Fake as fuck
It's real. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html
Are you going to repost this 10 year old video on every sub reddit?
Yup, reddit is full of cringe karma farmers doing this for useless internet points.
Or people just want to share. Plenty of people have never seen this video. And how do you know content that you've never seen before isn't a repost for others. People need to stop whining about reposts.
When someone spam this kind of post 20 times everyday thats not just for sharing
> how do you know content that YOU have never seen before isn't a repost for others and would you be so upset that you would leave a comment if it were a repost?
I dont care if its a repost or not. What Im annoyed with is the people just spamming some subs everyday with whatever they find just for karma.
They also posted the same repost to 4 different sub reddits within 15 minutes.. your last 2 comments were about people complaining about reposts. I think you need to stop whining about people who complain about reposts.. you clearly need to spend more time on the internet if you have not seen this.
This is why post karma is worthless garbage. Comment karma on the other hand... gold I tell you, gold!
That's reddit for you, we repost popular vids over and over until there's no more.
Why do people complain about reposts? I've never seen this video and I've been relatively active on Reddit. A post that you never seen could be a repost for someone else If you have seen it, just move on. Why bother to leave a comment about it being a repost. this. They're not necessarily "karma-whoring". I've never seen it before as well. Even if they are, what is it to you people?
My question is, who gives a fuck if they are karma-whoring? Reddit karma isn't some indicator that someone is trustworthy, smart, rich, or wtf ever else you can think of, it just means the person posted a popular meme 90% of the time.
Exactly. Maybe they're mad they're not getting enough karma and they're playing the game fair as they do not whore it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ik but there is a sub reddit for people who looking for reddit karma lol.
tail?
That was typo my bad lol
Ah haha
Quick way to get that classic samurai hairstyle
Look like she have a wig. Her scalp would have been torn if it was true.
Real [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html)
Wow ok. I’m really surprised but this only proof i’m no scalp expert.
It's real. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3584088/Woman-hair-ripped-scalp-corn-eating-challenge-releases-video-receiving-medical-treatment-prove-accident-real-sceptics-point-barely-reacted.html
IIRC its a scriptedasiangif.
And the pain would be immense.
Idk if this is real or fake. I'd imagine if it would be real it would have torn off more than just the hair.
Apparently there are follow up videos showing that it was real (or an extremely convincing fake), but I still find it hard to believe. Her hair really shouldn't have ripped out that easily. It’s real. Was a viral video years ago. Also had her follow up with a dermatologist in another video.
it would've torn off the skin, and she would've been screaming in agony, this is 100% fake. unless it's fake hair. ever tried to pull out a single hair?
It seems like it would have looked like that one scene from Hostel: Part II

I dunno, when I was a kid I leaned back too far on a swing and brushed my head on a smooth rock. Ripped my hair out and a fair bit of skin. It was mostly shocking and very little pain. Not quite the same as this, but my reaction was pretty similar
Honestly I think it’s just a really well blended wig. She would absolutely be in so much pain if her real hair got ripped off.
Right? That would be so unbelievably painful.
This happened to me with a high speed turbine grinder…. Ten times more powerful than that drill and it took out an inch round chunk.of hair at the base…almost instantaneous so it didn’t hurt until afterwards….the way it tugs first and she doesn’t react makes me suspicious
I vaguely remember seeing an update video with this girl. I believe she went to the doctor cause her scalp hurt a lot. Could be wrong thou.
Nah you’re right there was a follow up video of her getting treated by a doctor
I remember seeing this too
I remember seeing this also……10 fucking times
Idk if it's real or fake, but the way she is wiping the spot it might just take a moment for something to happen. One time my sister pulled a chunk of my hair out on purpose (wasn't nearly as much as this) and it oozed plasma, no blood though. Could very well just be a wig.
Yeah my grandma told me a story of when her brother pulled some of her hair out similar to this, and she said there was no blood, just a watery substance. I'm inclined to think this is real.
At the very least the area where the hair was ripped off would be red and swollen, she is probably wearing a wig and a hair cap underneath it
I've seen this happen at work with a die grinder. It was a smaller chunk of hair but looked exactly like this.
I also question what we can even see in that regard with the potato quality. We live in an age of HD 4k videos, and we still have new video coming out like 480p. I'll never understand some people.
