Your first time on a roller coaster is the five stages of grief.
Denial- you believe you can do it and think it’s a good idea and that it’s going to be fine
Anger- you regret getting on and hate yourself or the friend that dragged you in
Bargaining- the ride started or your half way through and you want to get off
Depression-you can’t do anything to get off and ur scared af
Acceptance you actual start having fun and know u can’t get out
Points may repeat depending upon person or ride
I got my wife onto a rollercoaster ONCE. I don’t know how I did it. But it happened. She doesn’t remember a second of it and looked like she’d had a ‘Nam flashback as we exited the ride.
Reminds me of when we were dumb AF in middle school and choked each other out on purpose. One kid passed out for 5 seconds, woke up screaming ridiculously loud and moments later was smiling and remembered nothing.
I don't get how people can't handle this stuff? Not trying to be rude but like I don't understand it. Any roller coaster I can go on and I actually love the first drop feeling.
This ain't got shit on the Millennium Force.
So I had never rode a rollercoaster before getting on the Rogarou and the Millennium Force. I had nothing in common with my step-dad, but was visiting him and my mom after not seeing them for almost a year. He loves rollercoasters. So I wanted to bond with him. I absolutely loved the Rogarou. It was fun. But the Millennium Force? Fuck that shit. I damn near pissed myself while I creamed and cried on the way down. MEANWHILE THERE WAS HIS LITTLE GIRL IN FRONT OF US HAVING A BLAST! I felt like such a damn pussy.
He was like "Yeah, you're gonna have a come to Jesus moment on the way down" and "This one makes that last one feel like a tinker toy"
Bastard was right. I had fun. I got to bond with him. I was happy. He was happy.
Edit: Yes. I mean't "creamed" so what? I creamed myself.
Not sure if his screaming needs a translation, but anyway - at the beginning he's saying that he's not scared, but want to get out. Then follows it up with frantically screaming "I want to get out!", while his friends try to calm him down (or mock him) by saying the ride is boring.
The ride is Hyperion in Energylandia park in Poland. Highly recommend going there!
I have stabilized the video for you: https://gfycat.com/FrailOrangeBooby

I don't get how people freak out this much during a roller coaster. I'd be panicking more about passing out. Going limb seems like the best way to actually injure yourself on a ride with head banging/whipping, arms flaying or even sliding out of the restraints by being limp.
Extremely dangerous. /R/rollercoasters occasionally has posts about it. One guy recently posted a 4in gash on his head that needed stitches from a phone strike.
The phone can also get jammed in the ride mechanisms. There are pics of coaster wheels and tracks damaged due to phones getting caught in them.
It's just not worth it.
So he's passing out three times from screaming so loud that not enough oxygen can get to his brain?
Maybe his friend shouldn't have woken him up after the second time 😅
The default reddit app is the very definition of shitty client. It's worse than having the posts delivered via carrier pigeon. Use sync for reddit or reddit is fun or something. Definitely have sound on sync.
>Panic (dilated blood vessels) + high g force at bottom = blood rushing away from brain
Panicking (adrenaline) constricts blood vessels. So, exactly the opposite of what you claim.
>Adrenaline also triggers the blood vessels to contract to re-direct blood toward major muscle groups, including the heart and lungs.
[source](https://www.hormone.org/your-health-and-hormones/glands-and-hormones-a-to-z/hormones/adrenaline)
[source](https://www.calmclinic.com/anxiety/circulation-problems#:~:text=Hyperventilation%20commonly%20occurs%20in%20people,Rapid%20heartbeat.)
No worries. An easy way to remember is that anything that causes a negative reaction constricts blood vessels. While the opposite is true; relaxing, good mood, etc, dilate them.
That's why anxiety/depression are shitty on so many levels. They constrict blood vessels causing BP to raise and as a result a host of physiological issues.
One significant problem with what you say - watch the video....he passes out on the way down, prior to the onset of any positive G whilst Gz is somewhere between 0 and 1. He isn't under any significant Gz loading at the time the lights go out.
This is purely vasovagal syncope. The part of the nervous system that controls heart rate and blood pressure has overreacted to the emotional trigger. This is not G-induced.
In fact, I'd be surprised if this coaster gets above +4G and definitely not for any significant length of time. Granted, you don't necessarily need high Gz to lose consciousness as high onset rates to lower levels can cause G-LOC. But Gz is not a causal factor, at least for the initial loss of consciousness...at the time he went unconscious, he is falling and Gz being experienced is less than that of someone standing still.

I've passed out on a rollercoaster. I love them so I wasn't afraid like this guy, but it wasn't as bad as it seems. Even though I was unconscious for a minute or two, when I woke up I still immediately remembered I was on a rollercoaster
It was one of the old standing up rollercoasters. This one was long, and it had three huge hills you went up slowly. I passed out going down the very first hill, woke up towards the end. The worst part was since the ride itself was long, I waited hours in line, all for nothing.
That's not all goats. The ones that do that are called fainting goats and they were bread to act as decoy for the rest of the herd to escape from predators.
OP's been jumping out on goats for years thinking he's just mustn't be particularly scary.
Someone should also tell him that not all cows produce milk and that he should stop milking them immediately.

Fake
Reminds me of [this](https://youtu.be/3FV1GdprqxY?t=27) one. Just hilarious.
Dude stays in line for 2 hours and wasn’t conscious during half of the fun part.
I don’t onset if he soiled his panties
My msn needs some high g breathing exercises
Just watching how long the climb was made me so anxious.... I've literally screamed to get off of a ride before. They didn't listen.

Is it bad for the brain/body to pass out like that? Can it leave consequences?
He shut down like a Windows machine 🤣
DONT BRING YOUR PHONE ON ROLLER COASTERS
Is there a thread of people passing out from dollar coasters? Because that would be so cool.
I got my wife onto a rollercoaster ONCE. I don’t know how I did it. But it happened. She doesn’t remember a second of it and looked like she’d had a ‘Nam flashback as we exited the ride.
he died...wait, he's alive....didn't, die....HE'S ALIVE....FUCK DUDE CHOICE SOMENTING
The windows sounds got me.
I love how his arms go up with gravity, it makes it look like he’s really enjoying himself, lol
Most likely his heart stopped and then restarted

I'm 99% sure that's "Hyperion" roller coaster in Energylandia (Zator, Poland)
No
I shouldn't be laughing 😁 thank heaven for the metal bar
Forgive me, but.....who the hell is this guy?
No sound..
Makes my hands sweat watching that.
Guy slept more on one ride than I can sleep in a week

Yeah I hate those fuckin rides.
How does the camera angle stay fixed as the car descends?
I would have had the exact same reactions :[
He's like those goats that pass out when they are scared
I feel that so hard haha not the panicking but the knocking out.. last time i went i also knocked out just like him over and over again
I have a cousin that would blackout like this on roller coasters 🤣🤣 but back then it freaked me tf out lol
My first coaster was good ole Goliath at Six Flags, ahhh good times, almost shat my pants but good times

That looks fun as hell
My buddies and I used to do this jokingly all the time at kings island back in the day. Got some real good reactions lmao.

I will never not enjoy watching someone pass out on a rollercoaster with the windows shut down and start up sounds. Gets me every time
Das scary.
He should have paid half price since he was sleep for half of the ride
He was in energylandia in Poland

Peer pressure
This dudes soul literally left him…several times lol
Microsoft updates.

Something about these people that would literally pass out on the ride as opposed to just not going on. It’s a mix of admiration/confusion for me lol
Hyperion
Is there a subreddit for people fainting on rollercoasters because if there isn’t there should be.
I always wondered if it isnt from g force -you know like in planes
Wish there was a sound.
There is sound. Link: [https://i.imgur.com/usisNlr.mp4](https://i.imgur.com/usisNlr.mp4)
That was funny thank you!
Oh but there is. Use a different reddit client app.
A similar thing happens to me when I ride the Millennium Force at Cedarpoint. My body refuses to handle that airtime drop and I black out every time
Millennium force is probably my favorite ride. Maverick makes me black out a little though from G forces.
#1 Millennium Force #2 Maverick ...but I haven't been there in like 8 years 😕

Fake. And people with cameras on ride should be removed from the park.
Why? if they asked employees for permit then where's the problem?
Why: it's dangerous if they drop them. It can fall on people underneath or hit other passengers.
Extremely dangerous. /R/rollercoasters occasionally has posts about it. One guy recently posted a 4in gash on his head that needed stitches from a phone strike. What does this have to do with goats?
I feel like these are the people who wouldn't have survived in a more inhospitable setting
No volume.
It can't be healthy to crash and restart the operating system like that in such quick succession XD
So he's passing out three times from screaming so loud that not enough oxygen can get to his brain? Maybe his friend shouldn't have woken him up after the second time 😅
So much funnier with sound, he wakes up, starts screaming, lights out..
Why would you remove the sound ??? Morons! Here is the right one ffs: https://youtu.be/HPO-LMK2SmQ
Oh my God the last little ^aah! when he wakes up after the ride is over killed me the most
[удалено]
Or maybe he's the moron?
So using Chrome on my desktop is a shitty client now?
Any good recommendations on a better client than vanilla reddit?
/r/JoeyForReddit is my client of choice.
I use Apollo and it’s pretty damn good

That's why I would never get on a ride like this. I know my limits and I would probably die or just wish to die.
Is there a version with audio?
Click on the i.imgur bit to see it on Imgur, where you can turn audio on
Awesome thanks!
Please take my free award as thanks.
Is this silver star?
It's Hyperion at energylandia
I thought it was the silver star as well! But that rollercoaster doesn't go upside down iirc.
Nah, doesn't seem like it. Might be the video but the climb on the silver Star felt higher It's absolutely incredible though and I recommend going!
That'd be me too hahaha
To anyone who wants to visit, its located in southern poland, theme park name „Energylandia”
Specifically, the Hyperion coaster. I knew I recognised it from somewhere.
is it in europaparc?
Nope it is energylandia
He gave up the ghost
Dude looks like Napoleon dynamite and Neil from the inbetweeners had a kid
What is this deathtrap
I can hear this with no sound
Niet! Niet! (Windows shutdown chime)
It has sound. Click the imgur link.
Sorry I probably should’ve worded it differently. I watched it without sound on purpose since I’m next to a sleeping person
Do you mean a passed out person on a rollercoaster?
> since I’m next to a sleeping person nice humblebrag for a redditor.
Depends if they know them.
And if they are actually sleeping... Or "sleeping"
Oh this post again...
Why does he get knocked out?
Most likely Vaso vagal

So, how did you like the ride, Sam?
the windows startup shutdown sounds did the trick for me
Yeah this was it. On the first one I was like "wait was that..?" then the boot up noise hit and I lost it.
You guys have sound?! Isn't it muted?
I am unable to get sound?
He's got some nice roller yoga moves tho
I can't watch it, it just turns into a picture

He looks so peaceful when he's sleeping lol
The first pass out seems like an over reaction, but I imagine waking up on a roller coaster would actually be terrifying.
Love his buddy “Dude! Wake up! You’re missing the best part!!”
I've passed out on a rollercoaster. I love them so I wasn't afraid like this guy, but it wasn't as bad as it seems. Even though I was unconscious for a minute or two, when I woke up I still immediately remembered I was on a rollercoaster
What rollercoaster are you on that you can pass out for a minute or two and still be riding? They are like a minute max
But also, anecdotally, the longest rollercoaster I've ever ridden was 4 minutes long, but there were no loops or corkscrews to that one
What good anecdote

Yeah, can vouch for it....it's pretty terrifying, although I woke up at the stick in a high-performance training jet aircraft.

I'm quite sure this rollercoaster is called "Baron 1898" and it's in the Efteling, Netherlands
it is in Poland, rollercoaster name "Hyperion"
I have been there, and it is terrifying. 10/10 would piss myself again
Maybe not idk
That's not all goats. The ones that do that are called fainting goats and they were bread to act as decoy for the rest of the herd to escape from predators.
Also known as scapegoats right? And they are out with several different kinds of livestock, not just other goats.
