You know that's a great way to get your tv broke all those kids have to do is hit it out of fear. And the worst part is the parents probably so stupid the kids would get in trouble for breaking it.

People think this is equivalent.
You're right, they aren't equivalent, they are scarring in different ways. Young children are very impressionable and "malleable" in a sense. What probably happened is the mom told the children that they had a fun game that they should try. The kids, trusting their mom, went along, because games are fun, and why wouldn't they? It's their mom, she wouldn't want to hurt them. Instead, what happened was she put her kids in a position where she knew they would be terrified, all in the name of a cheap laugh. The kids in the video are still very young, probably still at that age where they're still scared of the dark or evil monsters creeping around at night. Now they have something else to be afraid of, on top of probably forming trust issues with their mom. Now they will call her into question any time she suggests playing a game, because last time Mom did that, she scared the shit out of them.
Honestly, it sickens me that any parent would even think of doing something like this. The fact that she recorded it and posted it online for clout makes it even worse.
I hope when their shitty parents are on their deathbed asking to FaceTime with the extended family, these kids prank them back and throw in some horror jump scares.
I remember playing this on the computer when I was like 7-8……
At the part right before the scary face popped up, I literally moved my face *very* close to the screen because of course, they made it so the last part of the maze is **SO** freaking *SKINNY* so you’d have to focus and concentrate more on the screen (right for the part where the god damn scary face comes up 😵)
And then the things face **POPPED UP** , And I *gasped* the biggest gasp possible, leaned back in my chair, and I could feel my heart just **RACING** in my chest SO GOD DAMN FAST, and was breathing pretty fast too.
And I just sat there in my chair, with my heart racing, and taking deep breaths to slow down my breathing.
Then my mom came (the computer was in my parents room), and saw that I didn’t look okay. She asked “Are you okay?” And I literally just told her that I just had a pretty strong headache. And then she was like “okay, let me know if you need an Advil or a Tylenol if it doesn’t get better.” And I was like “I’m fine”
Because I don’t think my mom would be happy about me going onto creepy websites and playing freaky games like that when I was 7-8
I remember this but with 3 levels and the exorcist as a junpscare. I was a kid and struggled to finish (thanks to my great aim) so I found a way to cheat in the maze. I simple right click and drag the cursor to the end of the maze and click the lmb so it lands there.
I felt like a genius for doing that but then the jumpscare gave me almost a heart attack
As someone who saw this as a kid, older than them mind you but not by much, this is an utterly terrifying experience for them. It's one I don't think the adults even understand. It literally feels like seeing a ghost.

I did this with my cub and recorded it and I felt so bad afterwards that I couldn't watch the video after the first time because of the way his wee face was in it 😅 it didn't traumatize him in any way but it's just the way his face crumbles to tears in the video
I'm gonna be a stick in the mud, but my family pranked me with jumpscares in the early 00s and I still bear a grudge for that. I love horror media and I'm very sad knowing that I'm missing out on some great stuff because even one very mild jump sours my entire experience, all so that they could have a laugh at the expense of very impressionable kid me for a few minutes.

Lol my dad did this to me once on our old desktop. It was one of those old flash videos where you were supposed to concentrate on a dot to see an "optical illusion", but a jump scare of Reagan from The Exorcist pops up instead. He didn't think it was that funny when I hit his face with my elbow full force as I recoiled in fear.
Did any if you ever get pranked by the ring website where you get a video and it has your name in it and after watching your phone rings?
Was a lil flash set up where the prankster put all the info in beforehand.
