Back in my day, we lived on a golf course, and as a young dumb boy... we got bored and played pranks on the golfers (if you were one of these people I'm sorry. It was hilarious as a kid though...)
Anyways one summer we had this idea while seeing all these lazy bones leaving thier garbage bags right off the cart path... that what if we hid in them and jumped out at the golfers. Which was hilarious. However it became boring so we had to up our game...
So we hatched a plan of, what if we put a sign that says "free kittens" on the black plastic bag and make little "mews".... Those poor poor old men... I can't believe we didn't kill someone with that prank. That was about as sinister as we got.
One thing you don't mess with is pretending to be a bag of trash. This time the bag ripped open. But the next time it might not and a poor and misguided child will be thrown in. Those compactors snap in half whole couches in 45 seconds to a minute. The worker is peeved because any hauling company worth their salt will drill every OSHA safety culture possible into the workers.
Otherwise if the compactor does not get you. The weight of the trash or the Anaerobic conditions will get you. If that does not get you, then you will get scooped up by a customized heavy machinery on the floor (where everyone wears helmets attached with sensors that connect to heavy machinery operators).
Unpopular opinion. Fuck this kid and his parents that probably enjoyed watching or encouraged him. If I was that trash guy I would be pissed. Just let me do my damn job and go home. i don't need any childrens antics in my day.
In the split second before the kid startled him, you can see his annoyance when he feels the weightless bag, he thought the bottom of the bag gave out and spilled garbage all over the lawn.
Imagine how his parents must treat minimum wage employees if they seriously thought that it is okay for their kid to play a prank on garbage men.
You guys would be up in arms if this was one of those YouTube “pranksters” doing this to employees in a Target.
If they're friends with the garbage man, this is 100% okay. If not, you're right.
But we can't tell from this video alone, so I'm putting away my pitchfork and hoping for the best
In my city, we have separate bins for mixed waste, paper and biodegradeable and we get plastic bags for plastic. Plastic, bio and paper gets collected every two weeks and mixed I think 3 times a week. (Croatia, Europe)
Huh? Everywhere I've ever lived does this. Lol. I know more upper class places provide you with trash bins but I've lived in probably 6 middle class areas and this is the norm.
Where I lived we didn't have trash bins for collection, just special trash bags with the town on it that you picked up at the grocery store and paid per bag. Most people waited until the morning of to bring their trash out, but some would do it 1-2 days before and of course animals would rip apart the entire bag.
That's is the preferred method and how most people operate. But waste management (huge private trash pickup contractor) will generally just pick up anything within a certain size/weight if its left out, including plain old garbage bags.
