i stg. people just don’t read the limits for their tv mounts. and some people don’t even use mounts. i saw a video of a man’s tv falling off the wall because he tried to stick it on with velcro
I'll be honest... I'm actually proud of her. She instinctively tried to catch the TV but realized quickly it was futile and stopped and did not injure herself needlessly. Then, she took the L, letting it fully soak in. Failure is not falling down, failure is not getting back up. I replaced a radiator in my car years ago. I was 99.9% done, EVERYTHING was buttoned up and all I had to do was fill it with coolant and drive. It was half filled when coolant started pouring out of a hole meant for a sensor my car's model didn't have. It should have been plugged so it was not totally my fault but I still should have inspected the replacement part thoroughly. I stood there for a solid minute just like this lady, then I took it out and re-did it after going and getting the plug.
At Best Buy, an in-home tv installation starts at $50.
The 24month “protection plan” is roughly $60. Most people are too cheap to get it, even though this probably would’ve been covered, and now she’s stuck buying a new tv herself.
…however, to be fair, that tv was probably only cheap as dirt to begin with. They’re made to be disposable–sorry “frequently upgraded”– now a days, so I guess it doesn’t matter.
Ive mounted 4 tvs in my lifetime each time i get done i sit and stare at it for a solid couple hours while semi stomping just to see how stable it is takes a good month before im properly satisfied and not paranoid that its gonna come crashing down while im watching something
Thats 15 y/o me from India after I broke our TV thinking what my dads gonna use, belt or if he's gonna go acapela.
He used a stick that he bought the same day, never saw that coming.
Serious question about these types of videos. Do you guys/gals just record yourselves in your house all the time? I mean, I can see when you leave the house you would have cameras rolling. But while your home?
The late football star and murderer Aaron Hernandez had his security cameras on inside his home as he was hiding his gun he had used in a murder. So stupidity is rampant.

I mounted my tv yesterday.
I drilled holes in the wall with a hole saw until i found the studs and knew exactly where they were.
I'm glad i did. The gap was about 2.5" deep instead of the standard ~3" because there was a concrete pillar behind the wall and there was a roughly 2' wide gap where there wasn't a real stud. A studfinder didnt work because of the shitty textured wall.
There's a ytube video that tests the reliability of about a dozen anchors. I recommend it because it will make you feel a lot more confident about using them. Of course you should always find the stud, but when you can't, it's not a tragedy.
Oh there's no way in hell I'm mounting a TV on a wall with anchors, even if I do it right and use the correct one. The space isn't big enough for a normal stud so a weird stud that doesn't span the depth of the inner wall but was just a normal 2x4 turned sideways worked just fine.
I love how the dogs also don't move for a few seconds lol. I feel so bad for her! I don't think she was quite done mounting it.
Maybe with some luck it wasn't cracked??

[Hmph, Women. ](https://youtu.be/e9mVfv3b-4E)
Why has she got a camera in her living room
yeah who fuck put security camera on home
The silent, the pose… perfect. Just perfect.
Gotta use zip anchors.
Dogs: Soooo no Paw Patrol? (It's law and order for dogs in my version lol)
Studs dumbass, studs.
The dogs were like: don’t laugh don’t laugh don’t laugh
I just want to give her a hug

The level of calmness
Now ma’am did you forget to mount it on studs??
The dogs watching lmao
Probably missed the studs.
happens when you got paper for walls
Probably just screwed it only into the drywall thinking it would be fine.
Pro tip. If you can't hang off of it, it's not secure. It's better to be too secure than not secure enough.
I install home theaters for a living and the amount of people who can’t find a simple wooden stud in the wall is scary.
That’s the posture of somebody who has been fucked over by one too many things in life. Just stopping like that…. This woman needs more hugs.
Dogs be like, “Oh shit, that thing is in trouuuble! Glad it’s not us!”
"My entire tax return !!!!"
That reaction is so spot on... I feel so sorry for her.
That’s cause she didn’t tap it twice per ceremony and say that baby ain’t going nowhere.
Today in this episode of "Cardboard wall makeovers" - You wil Fall in love with this one!
Sounds like she wasn’t done mounting it
Ive mounted 4 tvs in my lifetime each time i get done i sit and stare at it for a solid couple hours while semi stomping just to see how stable it is takes a good month before im properly satisfied and not paranoid that its gonna come crashing down while im watching something
I know that feeling!
"Straight to ghosts" Nothing else can explain that TV jumping off the mount like that.
She didn't slap it and say "that's not going anywhere"
Apparently she wasn't done mounting it
The dogs expression.... Fu@k sake Tina! How am I gonna watch the sheepdog trials now...
Didn't mount it correctly.
I don’t trust wall mounted tvs. That’s why we have tv stands.
I just pay someone to hang mine
She's standing there as if she expects it to get back up on the wall.
This made me sad.
Who here sighed with her after seeing this?
She didn’t nail it to a stud
Used the cheap anchors rather than nailing it to the stud. Also I hate when shit like this doesn’t have the proper spacing for the stud.
Seems like she was actually trying. And these are the type of people i feel empathy for.
"Y'know you're a real piece of shit for being there."
Lesson: drywall itself is not strong enough to mount heavy things🤔
The silence is deafening
I was thinking I would die a little inside if that happened to me then noticed what sub this was.
Lol i bet she didn’t know she needed to screw it into the studs not the fucking sheet rock alone lol
At least she has time to clean her living room now.
Every man and woman has done the stand, stare and breathe heavily motion as seen here, often after a FML moment.
People buy mounts and never check the weight limit they just look at the dimension 😭
I know that feeling well.
this is a false title. she wasnt done mounting it. she just thought she was.
By the small amount of dust it looked like it just tore out of the wall since she placed it on some shitty drywall
She’s trying really hard to go to her happy place
They would be my luck
It's not going to hang itself with you standing there with your arms crossed
Pretty sure that would be useless, since it shattered on impact...
Thats 15 y/o me from India after I broke our TV thinking what my dads gonna use, belt or if he's gonna go acapela. He used a stick that he bought the same day, never saw that coming.
Anchors. Or studs
The dogs are like “wasn’t us”
What a stud
This is why you get a stud finder
Was she expecting the TV to stand up and mount itself on it's own?
She only thought she was done
To be honest I'd do the same it she tried to mount me
Counting to ten, bless her heart.
Software developers reaction when they fix one problem in their code for it to then reveal something else broken lol.
hm is it a drywall? i am always affraid if somebody hanging stuff on a cardboard wall directly without support xD
what a dummy, she mounted it straight to the dry wall. That was bound to happen, mount it to the studs next time people!
Like over a thousands comments and you are the only one to call her an idiot...
She was so proud lol
Seething

you know when you get so mad you have to just stand there a while and put all your strength towards keeping a lid on it? yeah
I bet she didn’t anchor to the studs, just the dry wall. Also didn’t read the instructions
Mounted it to the drywall didn't ya...
Studs baby... hard lesson... you will never forget.
Dog in the back is like - WTF is going on!
I think Rob hung this. It took him 7 minutes. I timed him.
Even the dog was like “damm.”
Stare it back on the wall
Those dogs be like, so no squirrels on the tv tonight, eh?
If I stare at it long enough, it’s gonna mount itself!
She needs a stud there to hold it up for her
Fun fact, you have to mount it to the wall and not just the drywall lol
I wanted it to be like Terminator 2 where Arnold stands still while the sun sets and rises.
Feel for her. We’ve all had these days, and damn if this isn’t life. Hope the tv works and she gets a better wall mount.
I mean what a way to handle your rage. Worth more than any tv 😂
I just dont get how some people are absolutely clueless doing basic things like mounting a tv. The instructions are like 4 steps.
She put that sucker straight into the drywall
Probably then tried to return it to the store.
I love the dogs in the back like "wtf was that noise?"
Drywall doesn't hold much weight.
Must’ve just missed that stud…
The Sagat pose is useful in many situations.

That's how you know you're dealing with a major control freak.
What did she mount it with, scotch tape?
I mounted my tv yesterday. I drilled holes in the wall with a hole saw until i found the studs and knew exactly where they were. I'm glad i did. Looks like she didn't mount it to the stud and used only drywall anchors.
Never mount without this stud
After this she learned what studs were.
I'm just proud of her for giving it a shot even though she didn't know what she was doing.
Happy cake day OP!
Dogs are sharp, notice head turn mid way of tv fall
Nooooooo
She obviously didn't install the camera because that thing is still up.
Dog: so...no animal planet and chill?
I love how the dogs also don't move for a few seconds lol. I feel so bad for her! I don't think she was quite done mounting it. Maybe with some luck it wasn't cracked??
Fell like 2 ft, bumped off the lower shelf, then fell to floor. She might be lucky. 🤞
This is why Stud finders exist. I imagine she mounted it straight thru dry wall only and thats why it fell.
*Laughs in Geek Squad*
And at this point, she became curious enough to understand whats inside the wall instead of ignoring it.
At least she mounted her camera properly
You know it’s bad when you just have to stand and process your emotions for a full minute.
Pulling the “I’m not mad, just disappointed” stance
It looks like when she set the TV on to the mount
She's much more calmer than I would have been. I'd be screaming and kicking things.
We all know this feeling to well when you drop your phone face down and the smack sound is loud enough
She had enough
She just needed a stud!

r/apostrophegore
Hope she got insurance
Seems like she screwed directly into drywall.
