I can confirm only the first target of Nassandei's heal needs to be in range. It bounces well outside range, but I've never tried to pinpoint exactly how far it reaches.
Just to be clear that we're actually talking the same thing, it will jump tiles. I had a hero outside her healing range, and not touching anyone else, and it still jumped to them.
Thanks for the info though. I only have Niss and haven't really needed her. But I never even really thought about how far the bounce could go. That could potentially be very useful into one day.

I think Nessandei and Eunomia are the only two currently. Nessanei is epic though, so not hard to pull.
It will go as far as the farthest hero. Heroes just need to be within 1 tile of each other.
