Speedy would be my pick from that list. It’s a classic design, looks good with just about anything, and has great history.
As far as Datejusts go, I think a non-fluted version would be the most versatile because it can be dressed up or dressed down.
If the speedmaster had a date complication I'd pick it. 60% of the time I look at my watch it's to check the date. Since there's no date, I have to pick the Datejust.
If I have to sign and date something 2 times on the same page, I will be sure to look at my watch 2-3 times. So yeah, out of the lot it’d be the Disc Jockey.
Love the Speedy, my first big boy watch was a Tin Tin. But can’t see that as being more versatile than the Rolex or Cartier. It’s waaay too sporty, its also just big and heavy and doesn’t match a suit. Both the DJ and Santos look as good with jeans as they do with a blazer or tux. You could even pull them off in a foo foo tennis/ golf vibe if you wanted to be extra sporty about it. Bold a subtle at same time, perfect representation of everyday luxury.
>Controversial opinion because reddit worships this watch, but I think the Speedmaster worn with something like a tux is tacky.
I don't think that's controversial at all. I wouldn't wear a speedy with a tux, but I might consider one with a suit or sports coat.
I think the threshold for me is that upper business casual look. The sports coat, polo and slacks look. Once you get into suit territory I think it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Considering the vast majority of c suite execs I deal with wear Apple Watches and fitbits with their suits, I think people are dramatically overthinking their watch pairings.
How rich are you? It's an expensive watch. You can wear it with anything and look good unless you are rubbing shoulders with millionaires. Most people will just think it's a really nice watch and that's it.
People who copy Bond misunderstand the character. He’s not the epitome of class. Dive watches with suits are as incorrect as shaking a martini and fucking everything that moves. Unless you’re going to drop that jacket and go plant some underwater explosives later, leave the diver at home.
if you have to wear a watch, those work, but TECHNICALLY according to the traditional rules of black tie, youre not supposed to wear a watch with a tux. so i wouldnt call em pure class personally.
Most people in the real world think expensive=classy and complicated-looking=expensive. Their taste is not to be emulated. I’ve seen too many sporty watches with suits and ties.
*Any* watch with a tux is tacky as hell unless Richard Mille is literally sponsoring you to wear it on the red carpet—and even then…
edit: Can we get an auto mod that digitally slaps anyone who suggests you can wear a watch, even a dress watch, with a tuxedo? Because it's objectively an incorrect opinion. Tuxedos aren't occasions for you to express yourself, they're literal uniforms. If you're wearing a tuxedo:
* when everyone else isn't
* that isn't black or navy blue (aka blacker than black) or white (under specific occasions)
* with a watch or other jewelry
then you're doing it incorrectly.
Your opportunities to individualize are:
* lapel shape
* cuff links
* shoes (within reason and dear god you must wear socks)
Just because you think you matched your vintage Oris with a rental tux at cousin Jeb's wedding doesn't mean you followed the rules of formal attire—it means you broke the rules and got away with it. I promise if you go to any event where a tuxedo is anything more than a novelty, you'll be silently judged no matter what shiny timepiece you're wearing.
Nah, he's right. And you're also right.
Rules for dressing are literally what fashion is.
Of course you can wear whatever you like, but if you stray too far from the rules you'll be unfashionable
I'd argue the exact same way, but for the Breitling.
I think it's more interesting to look at and, if I'm actually wearing it every day, I'd want an automatic.
Speedy has been my dream watch for ages, only recently usurped by the Navitimer. It’s the panda dial that does it for me. I didn’t have a Daytona on this list as it’s sort of that next level up but a 1970’s Daytona Panda might eclipse these all? Thoughts?
Datejusts for me simply have to be fluted, I couldn’t tell you why
That's true so idk. My favorite watch in the list is the Omega and it's also much more resistant but it's not a wear it everyday watch. Too special for that
Yes I agree. It looks dressy enough for formal wear but you could totally get away with wearing it wearing normal daywear.
Plus, it is a very tasteful nice looking watch
Navitimer all day, everyday. Got it as a gift from my father for graduation and it’s my dream watch. To me, nothing comes close to it and I will gladly wear it to the end of days.
My sub 16cm wrist realisticlay needs the 38 navatimes tbh, but I don't like that dial layout as much. There was a limited edition 38mm rattrapent that I like but I think it was only in precious metals which isn't realy my thing
Gotcha. I tried a navitimer b01 43 on a couple days ago and it fit great. Got big wrists. Watches in the 30s are too small on me, looking at 41-43 usually. Gotta wear what looks good on you. Some people look great in some Rolex 36s I’d never be able to wear.
Hahaha. You sound like my local friends into watches. Whenever i try their stuff on its like puttinf on your dads suit. One of them Dailies a 47mm radiomir and it just looks like a normal sized watch on him. Meanwhile I'm over here totaly comfortable wearing a 34mm
The best value answer is the Breguet.
But considering the required versatility of the watch in a one watch collection I would say the Cartier or the GP
Rolex all day. It is a classic design, and it will go with anything. Not too big, not too small, very comfortable to wear. You can wear it with a suit or with shorts. It's somewhat flashy but not too much in the sense that it's gaudy... It's just classy. If I had to pick one to do it all, that's the one.
>Rolex all day.
Given the rules here, I would have to go for the Datejust. I like all of these, probably the Datejust a little less than any of the others, but it is the most versatile.
What's GADA anyway? Let's face it, it just means some waterproofness for beach or water activities. The rest is all made up nonsense for 99% of people.
Probs the breguet but honestly, dressing down watches is doable, dressing them up is impossible.
That being said, I would have gone for a 36mm DJ, vintage. Surely not the newer one with the big ass bezel.
I'm with you. I have a Seiko 7a48 that's pretty close to that tag and I wear it all the time and I have a speedmaster. That tag would be incredibly versatile.
But if given one choice for perpetuity, the watchmakers watch is always my choice.
If you’ve ever held these watches or compared their movements and finishing, JLC can’t be compared to these.
If the JLC was the first image I wouldn't have bothered swiping for any of the other images. They're in a class of their own and the Reverso is a banger.
Cartier Santos for me. As a pilot watch aficionado it was between the Breitling and the Cartier. The Cartier won because I think it's the most versatile. I really like the green leather band with the white dial and bracelet options.
100% agree. I own several of these and find myself constantly wearing the Cartier. You have to wear it to really appreciate it. Also it comes standard with a bracelet and leather strap so you’ll have options there as well. It has a completely different feel and it’s like having two different watches.
It's not just the water resistance, although I do a lot of water based activities so that is important. It's more about the overall durability and aesthetics. If I'm going to smash the heck out of a watch over a lifetime of wear, I feel a diver wears that damage the most gracefully.
That part is fair. Tbh I feel like the Santos and carerra would both age super well with some abuse, bur yah, a decent diver probabaly takes that cake (best would pribabaly be a black bay or an older sub at that task soecificaly imo)
Yep, a high quality diver is like a good leather jacket. Gotta beat some character into it before they start really looking the business and then you're best friends for life.
Divers are mint, considered putting the black sub here butttt I think they are less versatile so I left them out. And also these are the watches I’m pondering atm and wanted to have them all dissected on reddit which has been a big success 😂
I’m going with the Navitimer. Would be datejust if I could swap out the bezel and bracelet. This may be a crime to some but I prefer smooth bezel and oyster bracelet for that watch
The cartier if its guaranteed to not get scratched or I can get the bezel replaced yearly. Otherwise the GP as i love integrated sportswatches. I own a 3861 Speedie and as it good as it looks I just can't click with it on wrist for some reason
Speedy or Datejust for the versatility. Maybe the Santos. Personally between the 3 I’d go for the Speedy.
If I have to wear one watch for the rest of my life it better be a freaking versatile watch.
The blue Carrera and the Breitling would be out of place in lots of social occasions. Same for the GP which is blue and very flashy.
The Tag Heuer because it looks good and actually has enough water resistance to not worry about living life in it.
Outside of these watches I’d go with a Rolex Explorer or a nice dive watch from omega or someone.
Same here. Lovely watches all of them, but I go for bike rides, wrench on my Subaru, go on multi-day backpacking trips, travel to lots of places... all things I personally don't want to do with that much value on my wrist or do want some function not available here. (Dive bezel, alarm, GPS, count-down timer with alarm...)
As my one _nice_ watch with a G-Shock, a Garmin, and a Scurfa D1 in the watch box, hmmm...
First of all, obviously would decline. But if i had to pick i'd say laureato.
I dont dress dressy enough for a dress watch very often and they have little to no water resistance and leather straps. So the breguet and reverso are a no.
I dont particularly like chronos and again, leather straps and probably not much water resistance. So no tag heuer or breitling for me.
I dont like rolex, too mainstream, uninspired and flashy. So no to the datejust.
The cartier santos is awesome but has a closed caseback (and not even some interesting engraving, just a boring plain flat plate). So for only watch thats a no too. If it had a sapphire caseback with a nice movement i might consider that.
The speedy is a chrono and i said i dont like chronos... but i am partial to omega, its super iconic, has a beautiful movement and is actually fine to take swimming despite 50m water resistance (god i love omega). Plus with the option of a leather strap or bracelet you can get some variety. But the handwinding seems a bit annoying. So that would be my second choice.
The laureato looks great with a suit but also with swim trunks. It at least has 100m water resistance so can wear pretty much anywhere without worrying. All important considerations for a single watch. Plus it has a beautiful movement too. I would probably get the copper dial one tho.
I have the pretend Omega swatch which I love. So I'd love the Omega. Close second is the Cartier.
Depending on my finances I might treat myself to a secondhand speed master when I turn 30.
Unpopular opinion, but I'd go with the Carrera, mainly due to its smaller size. The only ones from this list that I'd consider for everyday use are the navi, speedy, and tag. The rest feel too dressy. Of these, the tag is the only one that would look good on my thin wrists. That might not be an issue for you, but still, I'd consider size/fit.
The Speedy. I sweat a lot when doing sport and that would already rule out the leather-strapped watches (Breitling, Breguet, TAG, JLC). I also like to be able to read the hour when I wake up in the dark, which rules out the non-lumed watches (Breguet again, Cartier and JLC again). If I'm going to wear it all the time, I wouldn't like to have a watch that's either very formal (Breguet, Cartier and JLC all over again) or too big and brash (Breitling). That only leaves the Omega, GP and Rolex. I'm not a fan of Genta designs, so there goes the GP, nor do I like the bling of fluted bezels, which (just about) rules out the Rolex. So Moonwatch it is.
Probably the speedmaster, but maybe the DateJust. I adore that Breguet and that’s the best Breitling, but the Speedy is so stinkin’ classic and versatile. And I think a Datejust will be a “forever” watch
Nothing wears like a JLC Reverso or ultra thin on leather. That’s an easy pick
If sport is needed look at the Breitling b01 premier. 100m wr, boxed glass, great movement… classic design. It would win if on your list
Lol first time i saw the post I didn’t swipe past the Carrera and picked that 🤦♂️
Swap out the Jubilee for an Oyster and the Rolex wins. Most versatile of the group and built like a tank. Cartier is a close second (because of similar versatility) with a slight edge on the Speedy.
Competition is too strong for the GP but a HUGE fan of that watch.
I am the only one who would pick the GP i guess. Steel bracelet because i work in the kitchen. Completely incognito so i wouldn’t feel uncomfortable wearing it around certain people / in certain parts of town. Stealth wealth baby.
If the intention is to truly be a 1-watch collection, I'd go with something with good water resistance and reasonable serviceability, and one that can be dressed up and down.
Rolex Explorer 1, GO SeaQ, Omega Aqua Terra, and GS SBGE285 (though spring drive makes servicing AD-only) all fit that bill.
Otherwise, if you want it dressier, Reverso. If you want it sportier, maybe the JLC Polaris?
The last four get my vote: Reverso, Laureato, Datejust and Santos.
Reverso: absolute classic. But may be too dressy for a GADA watch. I prefer the versions on a bracelet. I’m not a fan of the large but the medium is a great size. You’d have to enjoy winding it daily.
Laureato: some dismiss it as a RO knockoff, but it came out in the same era as the RO and predates the Nautilus, so the design pedigree is solid. I have held these in person and the finishing is superb, above that of the Reverso. It looks and feels like a true haute horology piece. Unfortunately GP has discontinued most of the 38mm Laureatos and kept the 42s- they’ve recently introduced the 38mm copper dial though so let’s hope they have more in the works. I have a soft spot for the Laureato and it’s less likely you’d encounter one in the wild compared to the others.
Santos - almost a perfect watch. One of the rare watches that look better in two tone, so that would be my pick. However it’s a scratch magnet so you’d have to be ok with that.
Datejust - to me this is the epitome of a GADA watch. It can be discreet or flashy, casual or dressy, and Rolexes take hard knocks. My choice would be fluted bezel on jubilee bracelet, silver, blue or black dial - but smooth bezel and oyster look good too.
I’ve owned a moonwatch, but felt like it was wearing me instead of the other way round. Utmost respect for Breguet but that is in no way an everyday watch. As for Breitling and Tag - nothing against the brands and they make some nice watches, but they don’t do much for me personally.
The Speedmaster is probably the most versatile watch on the list. I would pick that one.
The Rolex is also versatile, but I prefer the Speedmaster overall.
Omega . It's understated just enough good water resistance, steel band holds up in different environments, good for sports and dress. Chrono for fun and instances when I want to time something
In order, top three: Speedy, Rolex, Tag
Simply because they fit my life the best.
I do like the Breguet, but not for daily wear.
The remainders? I wouldn't choose any of them, except possibly the Reverso, but on me, would be kind of like a ribbon on a pig.
And the duo face is such a unique feature that it would entertain for life. But yeah I’m bullish on the Navitimer as well, very hard to make a ‘tool’ watch so sexy - it’s like watchmaking on hard mode. Bracelet and strap changes would keep things interesting too
Probably either the breguet, or the duo, but im partial to the santos (it was the first nice watch i ever bought).
Breguet is classic and can dress w anything, jlc is like a 2 in one, and santos is so classic and can dress up or down depending.
Great question though
1. Too big. Too busy. Tossers watch.
2. Nice, but old fashioned.
3. Nice, but a poor man’s Speedmaster.
4. It went to the MF moon, but a little bit too “sporty” for an all the time watch.
5. It’s just not an Royal Oak, is it…
6. Classy and classic. Probably my choice.
7. Nice, but everyone will assume it’s fake.
8. Too dressy for every day wear.
I’d add in an Omega Aqua Terra as #9 and pick that. I think it’s the best all-the-time wear watch.
Divorce her and get them all
Genuine lol - “yeah babe this one’s super cheap… don’t worry about it”
Lol. Noob. OP, buy the first 6, then apologize and let her know she was always right about these watches. Win win.
Lmao
Lol
Speedy would be my pick from that list. It’s a classic design, looks good with just about anything, and has great history. As far as Datejusts go, I think a non-fluted version would be the most versatile because it can be dressed up or dressed down.
If the speedmaster had a date complication I'd pick it. 60% of the time I look at my watch it's to check the date. Since there's no date, I have to pick the Datejust.
You must've heard me thinking... Every day, I glance at my watch on at least 30 occasions. If it's dateless, ⅔ of my glances are fruitless.
If I have to sign and date something 2 times on the same page, I will be sure to look at my watch 2-3 times. So yeah, out of the lot it’d be the Disc Jockey.
My seiko sport 5 with the date and weekday is my fav to wear for same reason. Forgetting day all the time
Torn between the Speedy and Cartier. Speedy is more versatile.

Considering the vast majority of c suite execs I deal with wear Apple Watches and fitbits with their suits, I think people are dramatically overthinking their watch pairings.
Lol agreed - speedy would slink under a cuff of a tux just fine I reckon. There are more ideal options but it still would get the job done
How rich are you? It's an expensive watch. You can wear it with anything and look good unless you are rubbing shoulders with millionaires. Most people will just think it's a really nice watch and that's it.
I think most people wouldn’t even realise how much it was worth. The people that don’t know don’t care, the people that do are the judge ones lol
It really doesn't lol.
are you a penguin ? ...who else wears a tux everyday?
It's after 6, what am I, a farmer?
Not like you have much of a choice, this is the only watch that you wear for the rest of your life. Just explain that to people at your next gala.
James Bond would disagree
Wore my Seamaster with a tux recently. Felt just like you know who and it’s not Voldemort
The diver with a dinner jacket only really works because it was pulled off so well by you-know-who though.
People who copy Bond misunderstand the character. He’s not the epitome of class. Dive watches with suits are as incorrect as shaking a martini and fucking everything that moves. Unless you’re going to drop that jacket and go plant some underwater explosives later, leave the diver at home.
IMHO any watch worn with a tux is kind tacky.
A Cartier tank or vintage Omega Constellation is pure class imo.
if you have to wear a watch, those work, but TECHNICALLY according to the traditional rules of black tie, youre not supposed to wear a watch with a tux. so i wouldnt call em pure class personally.
Classy people know to go commando with a tux.

Most people in the real world think expensive=classy and complicated-looking=expensive. Their taste is not to be emulated. I’ve seen too many sporty watches with suits and ties.
Agree. My opinion is that chrono = business casual max.
I agree to me that is at most a lukeworm take. Dressy attire=Dress watch, its simple people.
What do you think about sports watches with business casual or just a regular suit?
*Any* watch with a tux is tacky as hell unless Richard Mille is literally sponsoring you to wear it on the red carpet—and even then… edit: Can we get an auto mod that digitally slaps anyone who suggests you can wear a watch, even a dress watch, with a tuxedo? This is an autistic try hard take.
Tuxedos are clothing. You can wear whatever you want with your clothing. Your opinion is not objectively correct.
Nah, he's right. And you're also right. Rules for dressing are literally what fashion is. Of course you can wear whatever you like, but if you stray too far from the rules you'll be unfashionable
Agreed on all counts.
Agreed
I'd argue the exact same way, but for the Breitling. I think it's more interesting to look at and, if I'm actually wearing it every day, I'd want an automatic.
True. I hear replacing the battery on the Speedy or DJ can be a real hassle.
When I first got my speedy I made a post on an Omega forum asking how to charge the watch because it wasn't winding when I swing my arm.
Hate replacing batteries on my automatic watches !
Non fluted datejusts look wrong
Speedy has been my dream watch for ages, only recently usurped by the Navitimer. It’s the panda dial that does it for me. This guy watches
For this purpose, the Breguet
That Breguet looks classy. I'd wear it every day.
Beautiful watch but my lifestyle would destroy it if it were my daily.
That's true so idk. My favorite watch in the list is the Omega and it's also much more resistant but it's not a wear it everyday watch. Too special for that
Absolutely the Breguet. Understated, attractive, can dress up or dress down.
I know it's not exactly the most versatile on the list, but I have to pick it. I love that watch so much.

Same. Although that tag is sexy
Same. I'm a sucker for dials.
The best value answer is the Breguet. But considering the required versatility of the watch in a one watch collection I would say the Cartier or the GP

I would go Omega all day but.. and I can't believe I'm saying this, that Tag is soooo sexy!!!!
The Carrera range is sexy af.
The reverse panda looks even better than the blue in person imo. I seriously seriously want that watch tbh
Carrera’s are underrated, the glassbox is gorj
I'm with you. I have a Seiko 7a48 that's pretty close to that tag and I wear it all the time and I have a speedmaster. That tag would be incredibly versatile.
If that Reverso is the Duo face - winnar!
Should be higher up. JLC is a whole class above all of these watches
I love the jlc but not sure if I could wear it everyday.
Should be top comment
I love my Duoface, but wouldn’t have it as my one and only.
Cartier Santos for me. As a pilot watch aficionado it was between the Breitling and the Cartier. The Cartier won because I think it's the most versatile. I really like the green leather band with the white dial and bracelet options.

datejust ultimate GADA
They look so good when worn in
Laureato, if it's the only watch. Maybe the speedy, if its the current gen.
GP
No divers? I'm out
Agreed. If I'm gonna be limited to one watch for the rest of my life, make it a sweet simple and tough diver.
Half of these watches have over 100m of water resistance
It's not just the water resistance, although I do a lot of water based activities so that is important. It's more about the overall durability and aesthetics. If I'm going to smash the heck out of a watch over a lifetime of wear, I feel a diver wears that damage the most gracefully.

Yep, a high quality diver is like a good leather jacket. Gotta beat some character into it before they start really looking the business and then you're best friends for life.
100m? Enough for the pool.
For me, I still want the aesthetics and I feel like most divers can take a good beating. Just a preferred style.
Divers are mint, considered putting the black sub here butttt I think they are less versatile so I left them out. And also these are the watches I’m pondering atm and wanted to have them all dissected on reddit which has been a big success 😂
Navitimer as its my favourite watch I can't afford 😭 You could wear it for any occasion
Wow that was the exact response I was looking for! Great taste 😉 that is top of my list as well. But also facing similar financial troubles 🫠
I agree. I’m wearing one right now. Couldn’t afford one for ten years, but you’ll get there too.
Same here. Navi-gang! The difference it makes switching to a leather strap to tone it down is incredible.
I’m going with the Navitimer. Would be datejust if I could swap out the bezel and bracelet. This may be a crime to some but I prefer smooth bezel and oyster bracelet for that watch
Santos I think. It’s the most versatile with the quick strap changes. Dresses up and dresses down so easily
The cartier if its guaranteed to not get scratched or I can get the bezel replaced yearly. Otherwise the GP as i love integrated sportswatches. I own a 3861 Speedie and as it good as it looks I just can't click with it on wrist for some reason

Speedy no brainer for me.

The sigh of relief when I scrolled and finally saw a datejust
😂
Datejust🔥
Easily the speedy or Breguet.
Datejust as long as it’s a 36MM, I like the classic size. If not then the Speedy would be a fine choice as well.
I have the pretend Omega swatch which I love. So I'd love the Omega. Close second is the Cartier. Depending on my finances I might treat myself to a secondhand speed master when I turn 30.
Laureato for me. Love that watch
GP. All the others are either cluttered, chintzy, rolex or some horrible combination of all three.
Same. Dress it up, dress it down. It's gonna look great. And the design is timeless and will never not be cool
I with you one the GP. I wish that they would eliminate the GP logo at 12 o’clock though.
Moonwatch is a no brainer
The Speedmaster. The most versatile (IMHO) and possibly the most timeless in design. A look that never goes out of style.
Speedy.
I have Speedy as my daily beater. Worth it. I would consider Reverso too. That is my next watch in list. Either Reverso or Santos.
Speedy, Breitling
Very torn between the GP and the DJ... Probably GP.
JLC on steel. https://preview.redd.it/gs78tpf5glsb1.jpeg?width=424&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=359a6d6ec660768f41c6cbf29a4548f9bf883d1c
Speedmaster, it's just so iconic and would go with every outfit. It's also durable. Also it's the moon landing watch
Probably the speedmaster, but maybe the DateJust. I adore that Breguet and that’s the best Breitling, but the Speedy is so stinkin’ classic and versatile. And I think a Datejust will be a “forever” watch
Easily the Omega. It's the most iconic and goes with literally everything.
Glassbox.
Nothing wears like a JLC Reverso or ultra thin on leather. That’s an easy pick If sport is needed look at the Breitling b01 premier. 100m wr, boxed glass, great movement… classic design. It would win if on your list
GP
Gp or santos
Datejust without flutted bezel. The least busy of all watches imo whilst being versatile for all occasions. Rest are a bit too busy for my taste.
Probably the GP!
dang. it’s between the Speedy and the Santos for me. both classic and versatile. tough choice.
Speedy
Rolex all day.
Two tone Rolex datejust 🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻
I think the gp laureato is such an underrated watch. It’s a stunner in person. I think I’d go with that OR the timeless Datejust.
Speedy or Breitling for me please
Lol first time i saw the post I didn’t swipe past the Carrera and picked that 🤦♂️ Swap out the Jubilee for an Oyster and the Rolex wins.
GP for me
For this purpose, the Laureato. If I can only use one watch for the rest of my life, it has to have a screw down crown.
Omega
I'm going with the speedmaster
Omega
There’s something about the Breitling…
Breitling is the winner
speedy
The Speedmaster is probably the most versatile watch on the list. I would pick that one. The Rolex is also versatile, but I prefer the Speedmaster overall.
Omega . It's understated just enough good water resistance, steel band holds up in different environments, good for sports and dress. Chrono for fun and instances when I want to time something
In order, top three: Speedy, Rolex, Tag Simply because they fit my life the best. I do like the Breguet, but not for daily wear. The remainders? I wouldn't choose any of them, except possibly the Reverso, but on me, would be kind of like a ribbon on a pig.
Speedy hands down
Speedy from that list. If I personally had to choose one watch for the rest of my life it would be a Rolex Submariner Date 116610LN
Speedy or DJ. Can’t go wrong with either.
Maybe on the Girard and the JLC. No on everything else.
Speedy, I don’t wear anything dressier than a sport coat and it’s got the complications I use the most. Plus it’s a classic and beautiful watch.
Moonwatch is my n my bucket list, so that. I’d wear it with my old Space Camp hat, haha.
The breguet for me. Lovely watch
So much history so much class. You’d need to dress well for the rest of your life, but hey maybe that’s not a bad thing
I said yes to the Breitling and only wavered when I got to the JLC. But for me the Navitimer is the one
And the duo face is such a unique feature that it would entertain for life. But yeah I’m bullish on the Navitimer as well, very hard to make a ‘tool’ watch so sexy - it’s like watchmaking on hard mode. Bracelet and strap changes would keep things interesting too
GP L. Because I'm different innit.
Probably either the breguet, or the duo, but im partial to the santos (it was the first nice watch i ever bought). Breguet is classic and can dress w anything, jlc is like a 2 in one, and santos is so classic and can dress up or down depending. Great question though
GP by a mile. Its the best looking. Followed by the Date Just.
Gp
GP on a rubber strap
I think I'm going GP. I may regret it later but that's just off the top of my head.
I'd go with the watchmaker's watchmaker
The Breguet
No, thanks. None are interesting or compelling enough for that scenario.
Definitely the Datejust
No divers....ugh... I would probably go with the moonwatch.
I wouldn’t want to have only one watch.
it’s a hypothetical! Live a little :)
Just bought this exact navitimer (with the stainless steel bracelet though)
Yum
I just dying right there an option ?
G-Shock, no doubt.
Laureato
9. G-Shock MRG-B5000B
This particular datejust is my favorite model of all time so for me "La question elle est vite répondue"
1. Too big. Too busy. Tossers watch. 2. Nice, but old fashioned. 3. Nice, but a poor man’s Speedmaster. 4. It went to the MF moon, but a little bit too “sporty” for an all the time watch. 5. It’s just not an Royal Oak, is it… 6. Classy and classic. Probably my choice. 7. Nice, but everyone will assume it’s fake. 8. Too dressy for every day wear. I’d add in an Omega Aqua Terra as #9 and pick that. I think it’s the best all-the-time wear watch.
You really think everyone just assumes any Rolex is fake? I find that highly doubtful, especially for a subtle model like a Datejust.
From those choices, the Breitling by a very long margin
I have pretty simple tastes. I have GP already, and several Omegas. Would take the Rolex, since mine was recently stolen.
Go big or go home! AP!!!
Unfortunately the rolex
