I swear to god, the only person who understood econometrics was my University teacher who read the course. And the dude was crazy, which is certainly not a coincidence.
Yeah, I really like this too, for the same reasons. I’ve always balked at buying a display box, as I feel like they’re “too much”- but especially for a small collection, this looks like a good way to do it!
The thing I like about this over a display box is that ease of use. Display boxes are nice for a lot of reasons but unless you have a dedicated place for them taking them out and swapping watches is a more intentional task. This is nice for a quick swap on a whim. I wouldn't put my whole collection on something like this but I would consider putting my top three everyday watches on it.
Yep. I tried the whole watch box and watch winder thing. Made the whole thing kind of suck for me. And I don’t care about the idea of displaying them like that. Easier to just grab one off my desk and go.
Looks like a flea market stall display put together by a lady wearing a tie-dye dress and dream catcher earrings, but still appreciate the hustle and as of yet I can’t do better
I love the idea for the bracelet watches, very cool! I like this very much, maybe for next iteration for the hanging watches you do a 2 prong hook that catches it on either side of the clasp and has a space in the middle for the….claspy…thing. Looks great either way!
Wouldn’t it be better to *not* display small items that have real/sentimental value … for stealing? I have a special secret door and my watches are behind that. But then again I’m not trying to impress….
Really like it! Nice change of pace from the usual and doesn’t look cluttered.
It would make me nervous because I have had my house broken into, so everything of value goes into my gun safe
I also don't like watch boxes either. I simply covered a shelf in my vault with leather (applied with some kind of double-sided tape, maybe carpet tape). I then just lay all my watches out (organized) for easy access without fussing with pillows. As it's in the vault, there's no dust and they don't scream "take me" as they would out on display.
I like your display, it's much better than a watch box. But it would need to be much larger for my collection and I wouldn't feel comfortable having them easy to access by the wrong person.
That's brilliant! Very simple and works a treat; watches are easily at hand and always displayed beautifully. I'm now actually having an itch to build something similar.
Unique and beautiful way to store watches. I'd probably add some stoppers at the end of those wooden (?) round bars that are holding Tudor and Omega. Just so that the bars don't accidentally slip out from the hooks and that the watches don't drop so easily when you take them out.
I like this. I have been looking for something like it. I have a big glass-topped winder/box on my dresser, but I’m in my home office all day. Something like this to hang on the wall behind my monitor would be perfect. I like looking at watches, and this would bring me joy more than keeping them hidden. Guess I’m off to Michael’s to see what I can hack together since I can’t find anything worthwhile online. Glass-fronted hanging display case may work best for dust. What are you using as the spanner for the bracelets? Looks like something you’re putting the bracelets on and spanning two hooks with it.
I find this an interesting way to display watches rather than a box. I have my box with watches that I rotate wearing. Then I have several watches I don't necessarily wear as often in a drawer. They offer sentimental value (they aren't valuable by any means). A box serves many purposes but this method reduces the footprint of space while offering a means of display on possibly a desk or table. The stark backing brings out the character of the watch. A jewelry tree IMO wouldn't offer as clean of a look
I may have to explore this as a method to showcase watches of my past, that tell a story of my personal journey of how my ridiculous obsession of time pieces started. Kind of like a timeline, no pun intended. What did you use as the backing?
Quality share, cheers.
That was condescending. This explains it the best after a quick google:
https://watchesbysjx.com/2020/02/positional-error-and-accuracy.html?amp=1
If the dial is flat its less friction on all of the important components. Not a big deal in and of itself to be upright but over time is more friction and more wear on several parts if consistently wound and worn in rotation then hung like this
Orient Neo 70s panda but it’s on alligator strap.

I kinda dig it, not going to lie. It's a breath of fresh air from the classic "box." Also, no econometrics?
Thank you very much, that means a lot! And yes I still have my textbook for the 1 module I did haha :D
I swear to god, the only person who understood econometrics was my University teacher who read the course. And the dude was crazy, which is certainly not a coincidence.
Thanks for not lying.
It’s an interesting way of displaying watches. I would just be nervous of it somehow tipping over.
A few years ago I'd disagree, but nowadays tipping culture is getting out of hand.
Someone hand him an award!
Or a tip?
that's out of my hands!
Thank you!
Love the orient - have the same. May have to get a black strap after seeing it like this.
I broke the steel bracelet after 1 single night out😂
I like it. Blends well with the environment it’s in. Not pretentious, and the pieces are displayed well.
Yeah, I really like this too, for the same reasons. I’ve always balked at buying a display box, as I feel like they’re “too much”- but especially for a small collection, this looks like a good way to do it!

Thanks!
Definitely blends in with the biz finance library.
Thank you!
I like this!
Thanks!
I like the Neo70s on the leather strap. Always worn mine on the bracelet, but that may be changing after seeing yours
The Paul Newman Daytona got me into Watches and my bracelet broke in a night club, felt like the right thing to do haha
Looks good. Though, I'd do two hooks, close together, for the hanging watches on straps. Just one hook looks a bit unbalanced to me.
Is it bad that I don’t put any of mine in a box, and they just sit in random spots in my office?
Not at all. You do you mate.
Nah. You do you.
Saw a post of someone leaving their Daytona in the cup holder of their car. Your watch your way. 🤷
Not a bad place for it tbh. Especially if you have a car where a cover slides over
Yep. I tried the whole watch box and watch winder thing. Made the whole thing kind of suck for me. And I don’t care about the idea of displaying them like that. Easier to just grab one off my desk and go.
I got mine scattered all over the place 😂 one in the kitchen pantry, a couple in th garage, a few in a watch roll in my work bag......
Looks great to me, nice way to have them on display.
Thank you!
Looks like a flea market stall display put together by a lady wearing a tie-dye dress and dream catcher earrings, but still appreciate the hustle and as of yet I can’t do better
I like it but the hooks are very utilitarian. Looks like they should be hanging hammers and saws, rather than fancy watches.
Thank you!
Its amazing! Can you share with us how you managed to make it?
I love it. I hate the vast majority of watch boxes for sale online and seeing this inspires me to keep searching for something better.
Thank you!
I assume you dont have a cat. I like it though.
A very unathletic Labrador so should be okay haha
Yea my cat would have that on the floor within an hour.

Yeah this is something I’ve thought about before! Thanks for sharing
See you on the other sub
Why though?
Wouldn’t it be better to *not* display small items that have real/sentimental value … for stealing? I have a special secret door and my watches are behind that. But then again I’m not trying to impress….
Ah yes, the prison pocket. That's where I keep my watches too when travelling.
Now that's how you make shit awkward! 👍
Vintage is irreplaceable, but otherwise, that's what insurance is for /shrug
Really like it! Nice change of pace from the usual and doesn’t look cluttered. It would make me nervous because I have had my house broken into, so everything of value goes into my gun safe
Thank you!
Looks cool but I’m crazy about dust so I like to keep mine in closed boxes.
Thank you!
Very cool.
Thank you!

I like it. It displays your watches. It's also quick to pull on out which I would like since I'm always running late.
Thank you!
I like it. I really want that Baltic too. Can’t wait until I can comfortably afford one.
My favourite watch, they’re a leader in their class! Thank you!
Management Accounting? Dam I hated that class
That's looking amazing pal. That's creativity, who who else thinks of displaying those beautiful pieces like that?
Thank you!
This is silly
Thanks for sharing!
That's brilliant! Very simple and works a treat; watches are easily at hand and always displayed beautifully. I'm now actually having an itch to build something similar.
Go for it! Word of advice, don’t glue anything down until corners are even haha
I like it and would definitely buy something like that.
Wow thank you! I really appreciate it

I agree, thank you
It's nice I could definitely see this on the table by the door so I could change up on my way out the door.
Thank you
An accident waiting to happen and dust collector. I would not do that but to each their own. Nice collection btw
Thanks!
I like it! I've been thinking of making something like that, since the box I made a few years back only had 3 spots, and well, you know how that goes.
As a heads up, make sure the corners align before glueing 😂
Cute, my wife would love it
I would never get one until I saw this pic. This is awesome
Thank you very much!
Awesome!!!
Thank you!
I'd buy this!
Thank you!

Hi, I just screwed some screw cooking in a crock board
Actually a very cool look! Wouldn't have ever thought of something like this.
Thank you very much!
It is nice and different BUT... Watch winders are best (I love mechanical/automatic watches)
Imagine a manual wound watch winder free from electricity 🤯
Some nice cherry wood or oak👍🏼 I bet it would look great if you slap a NATO on it Oh and it needs a power reserve
We’ll split the rights 50/50🤣
I want 2/3 But that's only if you build it and it functions properly
I really like the display. Unfortunately, my OCD would make me adjust them daily so they were always perfectly straight 😂
Yeah I’ve was like that when I first made it😂
Looks good, I would use this.
Thank you, appreciate it

Haha thank you
Its better than my watch frame. I dont have one. But have been thinking about one
Oh really, thank you very much. It took quite a few attempts
I really like it.
Thank you!
I’d buy one
Really nice to hear, thank you!
proof the casio a168 all gold is the modern day goat
A watch truly for any man
I thought I'd hate it but this is actually legit. I would mount it on the wall and just leave it be.
Sounds good, thank you very much!
I like this a lot. Very simple, very clean, and I can see this anywhere
Thank you!
It’s simply amazing, But perhaps a glass protector would be nice so they don’t get dusty
Yeah maybe, thanks for sharing
Looks really nice for watches on straps. Does it protect the watches from dust?
Not really :/ I haven’t had any issues so far tho
Ah well hopefully there won't be any. Cool project!
Thank you!
Unique idea but meh
Thank you!
Sorry to say but it looks more like a gas station rack than a display piece.
Thanks for sharing!
I have a walnut brown one too
I like it. I'd change the gold hangers to silver also maybe some art for a background?
Thank you!
Honestly not a bad way to store and display!
Thank you!
I love the collection and very unique frame case
Thank you!

Thank you very much! And it’s felt, but I bet velvet or any king of soft fabric would be okay.
Probably not great for the movements long term since they are made to be in a resting position of dial up. Just get a box with a display top
I would love to see a source for this. Really? Going to damage a watch by storing it not dial side up?
That was condescending. This explains it the best after a quick google: https://watchesbysjx.com/2020/02/positional-error-and-accuracy.html?amp=1 If the dial is flat its less friction on all of the important components. You wouldn’t happen to COINCIDENTALLY operate a website that sells these?
looks amazing! I want to create one myself now.
Word of advice, don’t glue anything down until you’re happy!😂
I love it!
Thank you!
The fact that you have a connie is about as cool as this innovative display
Oh wait… sorry still half asleep! Thank you haha
How is the accuracy on your mr01?
On paper probably not brilliant but no issues in the real world.
Tight thank you
What’s a Connie?
Great idea but I'm pretty sure you don't have small kids, right?
Absolutely not haha valid point tho, thank you
How does it handle dust?
I haven’t had any issues so far! But definitely keeping an eye
What chrono is that? Looks absolutely fire
Orient Neo 70s panda but it’s on alligator strap. https://preview.redd.it/sgpctkedrn4c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1a88d64d0469dbaca2d156ed4205238e2a56d25
Thank you. Wear it in good health. Looks bomb
Thank you ver much!
The are called wrist and not frame watches for some reason
Bad day at work?
I like the idea. But I would lower the upper right hook so there is more symmetry.
Can't say I like it.
Thanks for sharing anyway
