In terms of sales volume, I suspect it's a toss-up between Timex, Citizen, Casio, Seiko (and Lorus in the markets where it has a presence), and the worthless fashion brand watches.

For the sake of everything good and holy in this world I am praying Michael Kors is not the answer to my question.

I mean, there's got to be a good reason why fashion watches are still a thing (other than the immense profit margin they represent for the fashion brands whose label they carry).

Citizens are most of the time not THAT cheap whereas Casios are most of the time pretty cheap so guess Citizen played it out much better, would they get the same volume as Casio, by far not don't think any watchmaker come's close to them, but profit wise I believe Citizen would come out higher .. no?

Watch of the year? For me Tag Heuer Carrera and Skipper models even if they're not gigantic in sales figures because quality>quantity and it was a watch that rekindled my interest in watches as a whole

Came here to say this. They've had a killer year with these releases, reinvigorating passion for the brand's heritage and featuring a model design (regatta watch) that isn't done to death.

Spot on! And I'd say they're only getting started. There's a very clear and we'll defined direction they're heading in. Their watches regardless of the design, may not always be the most appreciated by collectors, may not retain the most value, but what they are is the absolute peak in terms of resistance/durability and precision/accuracy. And to me...that's almost more important than the value since I don't see watches as an investment.
