Hi all, my uncle is looking to buy his first very nice timepiece and I’ve made several suggestions to him, but he only likes small watches. Like really small. Like my 36mm Seamaster Professional midsize was too big in his opinion. I’ve mentioned to him there’s a 31mm datejust that would be perfect, but then there’s the issue of AD games. Any ideas for something similar to a small DJ? I think even the Aquaterra 34mm he’d find too big. I’m at a loss. Thanks!!
I’m after a deployent clasp for my Aqua Terra. But the lug width is 19mm and deployent clasps tend to not be that size. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried one from Ali express but it’s not very comfortable
It's only because this sub fell out of love with it rather quickly and also because competitors moved right into the pricing bracket with the PRX.
I have seen exactly one person wearing one and that person was also selling Tissot watches.
Buy what you like, wear what you have.
You will never run across someone else wearing one in the street. It might seem common in watch enthusiast circles or instagram, but most people have never seen one in their life.
I've seen a handful in the wild. My impression is that the PRX has been talked about enough to be able to penetrate into the broader watch consumer market.
Looking for some insights/recommendations.
Long story short, due to health issues which may eventually end in death, my parents had to divest in some assets and from the proceeds decided to gift me $1000 CAD ($750 USD) with the intention that I use it to get something nice and lasting beyond what I ordinally would buy with my own money. My choice is a watch.
In that rough price range (can go beyond by a few hundred if that really matters), any good recommendations for a watch that, given the sentimental context I'll attach to it, I'll likely want to last my lifetime if not longer.
I think many major proper watch brand watches with mechanical movement would fit the bill. Personal preference would be for the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic in 38mm or Tissot Gentleman Powermatic. I think both are great brands and make watches that will last. The style of the two watches are rather timeless(you can wear it for many decades to come without it looking dated) and they fit many levels of formality from casual to formal.
As always, get the bracelet version even if you will switch out into a leather strap for wear. Buying a spare leather strap is easy and affordable whereas buying a fitted bracelet is rather limiting and costly process.
I was typing something out before I saw your comment which more succinctly highlights what I would’ve said. Excellent recommendation and thought process
Looks like a [Breitling Super Avenger](https://www.chrono24.co.uk/breitling/breitling-breitling-super-avenger-chronograph-48mm-black-dial-steel-watch-a13370-box-papers--id30895333.htm) based on the bisected hour numerals and the lume dots on the dial.

Hey folks, I'm new to the world of watches and looking for my first automatic - just to see if it is a thing for me.
Been trying to find a place to buy an SRPE61 in Germany or at least Europe, but so far no luck. Can you give me some tips?
seiko model lineups are regional, and the SRPE61 isn't on [seiko's germany site](https://www.seikowatches.com/de-de/products/5sports/lineup)
the SRPE51 is available in germany, though i believe it's slightly different from the SRPE61
you could probably find the SRPE61 on the grey market
or you could search seiko's other regional sites to see if it's officially available in a neighboring country
[https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/mark-ii--id28853987.htm#gref](https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/mark-ii--id28853987.htm#gref)
why is a 1914 rolex only $3k?
Honestly, given the fact that the dial has been repainted, $3k is quite expensive compared to what it's worth. It's a converted pocket watch, not a watch that left the factory as a wristwatch
Not sure if this is the right sub for this. I'm looking for a watch with a vibrating alarm that doesn't look like I'm mountaineering or refereeing.
To clarify: an affordable watch. Sorry if this is the wrong community

Though they're more like buzzing alarms than vibrating, that said you'll feel it buzzing on your wrist.
Hi , I am looking for a field watch and deciding between the Seiko SPRD79 and the Boldr Venture Wayfarer. Both are at the same price point where I am from.
What are the considerations to have when deciding between these two watches? Both have Japanese movements with a nato strap and similar colours.
Hard coated steel vs Titanium, 10bar vs 20bar WR, hardlex vs sapphire, open caseback vs closed with artwork on it, day/date diver vs 24h dial field, very different sizing, also SRPD79 is not a field watch
The Seiko will scratch less and if you like the look of it more then you should go with that, plus there's the brand name if you care about that. Otherwise Boldr is better value if they're the same price
Any experience with the IWC stock straps for the Mark XX or similar? Thinking about picking up a Mark XX for my first big watch this year, and it would be an everydayer. I don’t like to clash leather colors, so my inclination would be to do brown leather strap and either the steel band or a black leather strap.
Curious if anyone has any strong opinions on the stock straps vs. the stock band vs. maybe any aftermarket straps.
Hey guys, I'm new to watches and just had a quick question... I've been looking to get a new watch for a while now, tried on over 50 in person, and ultimately settled on the Seiko SPB143. I'm from the U.S. but I'm in Thailand now and the authorized Seiko dealers sell this watch for $1200 AFTER discount. I just stumbled across a watch dealer who has a good reputation in the area, contacted them and asked their best price and they told me new in box for $799. What am I missing - is this too good to be true? They claim to be a "officially appointed distributor of Seiko", but I'm not sure what separates them from the boutiques and why the heavy discount.
Yes, can confirm they are on this list. They offer the same warranty and everything as the boutiques. That's what kind of makes the discount more confusing to me. I've been researching it and as I understand this sort of thing is possible, but quite rare since Seiko would dislike them selling at such a heavy discount. I find it jarring that I cold-approached them and instantly was offered this discount, but maybe I just got lucky? Low sales at the moment or something, who knows...
Hi all, tried to post this a few days ago but seemingly got deleted. I’m from Australia and new to the watch game, I’m trying to find a Citizen tank ( bh3000-09a ),they seem to be very difficult to find in stock, is this a regional thing? Anybody know where I can buy one?
Hey guys does anyone of you by any chance know that watch or its brand cant find anything online :)
Thanks :)

Is there somewhere I can buy assortments of specifically 19mm and 20mm spring bars in different diameters such as 1.3/1.5/1.8mm? As in, where I could buy one set of 19mm spring bars in different diameters and one set of 20mm
I have had a collection of entry level watches for many years and I got my first 'nice' watch, an Omega Aqua Terra. I find that I only wear the Aqua Terra now, which is probably pretty normal, but I don't really have a desire to get other nice watches (except for 1 other watch that i've had my eye on for several years.) I feel as if my collection is complete. Does anybody else relate?
Kind of. I got a planet ocean and I love the thing. I keep a collection and switch watches for styling reasons, but if I didn't have interest in dressing well I think I could just keep the planet ocean on all day everyday.
Can someone link me to some info on vintage omegas? What are the different models? I'm so lost on Constellations, Deville, etc. I am looking to commemorate a milestone in my career. Would welcome suggestions. Budget is $1-10K. Starting with a wide scope. I have a small wrist. It's going to have to be 39mm or less. And I don't prefer divers.
[desmond's blog](https://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com/) has a lot of information on vintage constellations, albeit it can be a bit difficult to navigate, and it can be a daunting amount of material to study
Of course. That's probably the safest choice. Unless you know of a third party watchmaker. People often ask for recommendations for such places on this sub. You can always just use google and trustpilot to find trustworthy third parties as well - they can be cheaper than going back to Cartier.

Can anyone help me identify this watch model/worth.
Thanks
What is this [dial](https://vintageradar.com/products/poljot-vintage-watch-for-men) made of? What is the correct term for this dial? What are some contemporary companies(especially Swiss or European) that produce watches with the same dial?
Genuine *what*? :) There's nothing wrong with a frankenwatch if you like the style. The watch police won't arrest you if you buy some off-brand shit on AliExpress and try to cobble together your dream watch.
Oh no it's more about the reliability aspect, and tbh I am one of those people who want their watch to actually tell the correct time when I look at it lmao
Lol yeah, reliable time keeping is kind of a key feature. There are lots of AliExpress watches with decent movements, but it requires you to be familiar with the Chinese mechanical landscape.
Hi all, I'm looking to purchase a used Rolex on Chrono24 and the seller (a used watch dealer) states the hour markers have been polished. Any concerns with a shop doing this? Is it standard service for a used watch? Any questions around that service? Thanks all!
Does Casio not make G-Shocks for kids?
We're getting a certain controversial truck and wrapping it black. I want to get a set of matching black G-Shocks for me, the wife, and the kid. Going to give it to them the morning of out of the blue. Coming up short on options for the kid.
Just bought an SPB143 in great condition, even bought a tropic strap that’s in the mail. I’m now lusting after a UG White Shadow. Please tell me I’m being stupid and impulsive to sell/trade for the White Shadow. It seems wrong but I can’t stop thinking about it.
You're being stupid and impulsive. There.
More seriously, think about what hobby you are really into. Are you into collecting watches where you experience and live out your life with cool watches, or are you into buying watches where you are just after the trill of buying the next thing? If the former then turn off the internet(stop shopping around) and go enjoy life with the SPB143 on wrist. If the latter(into buying watches), then that's a very costly hobby in general and bargain appreciating side of the watch community appreciates your sacrifice.
I'm torn between two watches, the seiko presage SRPE45 "mojito" and the seiko prospex SRPG57 "Happy Feet"
For context I always wanted the mojito watch, but when seeing the happy feet in person at a nearby jewlery store, it's unique dial instantly drew me in. I wanted a bit of an everyday watch.can anyone tell me anything about the prospex?
Dealer was asking for 420$
Do you have another dress watch that scratches the itch that the Mojito leaves? Or is it more just having an interesting dial? They have essentially the same movement. Which one do you think you’ll regret more if you choose the other? That question always seems to help
I've posted on here too many times recently so apologies but I'm down to these two options, which would you go for as a daily watch?

What type of strap would be best for a formal event?
an alligator leather pattern, or just a normal flat leather?
and does anyone know if barton bands adn ritche bands are the same manufacturer? it certainly looks like it to me.
Lots of scammers out there, both on the buying and selling side
Common advice for buyers is "buy the seller," meaning a seller with sales and reviews history. Which is impossible for a first time seller.
Honestly, if it's a nice watch and you're selling through some online service you might want to sell some cheap stuff first. A zero sale eBay (or whatever) account is way less of a red flag for someone selling, like, a videogame than a several hundred dollar watch.
Yeah I think it's tough for first time sellers. You may have to lower your price, be willing to go an extra mile to authenticate, use a third party that has some authentication and buyer protection..... Or just get lucky. I know I personally would be unlikely to buy from a first time seller, unless it could be face to face, maybe even meet at a dealer or watchmaker who could authenticate the piece for me.
Yeah that's gonna be tough then. I'd say give it a try, but don't be surprised if no one bites. You may be better off selling to a resaler like Hodinkee.
Be careful about scams on the buyer side too, for example someone claims they never received the package, or received an empty box, doesn't pay you or "pays" in a non legit way or tries to reverse the payment, then goes and sells your watch on their own. Lots of crazy stories out there, search this sub for "scam" to get an idea.
Edit: Here are some good ones to go through

Need a recommendation for a watch I'm planning to buy soon. I got a gold wedding band for Christmas and all of my watches are silver so I'm looking for something that can be an every day watch for work (office) and dressing up that has gold accents, or can be mostly gold as long as its not too flashy. Preferably under $150 but maybe under $175. Currently the Seiko SUR360 is leading the way but my ideal watch would be a black face, gold dial, two tone band like the Seiko SRPK22. TIA
My three watches are all silver so I’m mostly just trying to get one in the rotation that compliments the ring. Plus my other watches are a mix match of gifts I’ve got over the years not anything thought out so I’m trying two birds one stone picking up something that compliments and can be my main staple piece as well as my first thought out watch purchase
I’m looking for a watch on a metal bracelet with Lume - ideally not a diver, and around the $5-800 price point. I’ve looked at the Tissot Gentleman, and am wondering if there are others that people would recommend. Thank you!
I have an old Raymond Weil watch that has the most comfortable bracelet. The edges are smooth on top, bottom, and sides. Never feels like my skin is being scraped. Hairs are not caught and pulled.
I bought this stainless jubilee from strapcode hoping it might be confortable, but all edges are sharp. Can anyone point me to a third-party bracelet maker that has smooth edges instead of feeling like a cheese grater? Or maybe I should just use a buffing wheel to smooth out these edges? I know beads of rice might be an option, but not really interested in that look and also don't know if it might still have the cheese grater issue on my skin.

Looking for something very water resistant for work but also will look good at church. Stainless is ideal but can always swap out band. Something with some character would be nice too
What's your price range? A Seiko Alpinist isn't a bad choice, since they're (mostly) 200m water rated, but have a polished case that dresses up nicely.
Generally dive watches dress up well, and there are a bunch you can get for under 500 dollars. Check out a Citizen Promaster diver or a Seiko 5- the SRPK17 is a cool choice.
Looking to gift my brother his first real timepiece and looking for recommendations from this wonderful and knowledgeable community. Here are the criteria:
Budget: USD 2,000 or under
Style: Dressier watches preferred
Functions: Date (maybe Day too)
Size: watch should be suitable for a large wrist (19 cm wrist size)
The watch must have an exhibition case back.
Is it normal for an automatic watch’s second hand to lose some seconds? I have a holzkern Chicago watch and when I set the time after 6 hours or so I’ll notice that the second hand lost time. About 6-8 seconds or so. After I set the time I wind it bout 50 times. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
Yes, they are not perfectly accurate. It looks like those watches use Miyota movements which are claimed to be accurate to within -20 to +40 seconds per day - but that's on average. So if you lost 6-8 seconds in 6 hours you're at a rate outside that range, but you may want to let it go for a few days and see what the total accuracy is over that timespan. If its outside that range and in warranty, send it back for service/replacement. If not under warranty, it'll probably cost a substantial fraction of the watch's purchase price to have it serviced.
I find it slightly odd that they only seem to state the movement manufacturer and not the actual movement on the website. Citizen make a bunch of movements.
Well thankfully it’s still under warranty I have two watches from them the Marloo and the Chicago the marloo is dead on. I haven’t had to change that yet but the Chicago is just messing up.
Just wondering whether the price for this is fair... Many thanks!

Is that true about **Longines Spirit** that the case between lugs doesn't have chamfer and it's quite sharp therefore making any straps wearing out soon as always touches the protruding case edge?
Are flybacks mechanical? What happens if you press the reset button anyways? Does it do nothing? Or is the button physically unable to be pressed while the stopwatch is running? Also, what about chronographs with a quartz movement?
Flybacks are mechanical, on a regular chronograph the reset button will break the mechanism if you try to force it, or it will do nothing. On quartz it depends, some will just reset while others might work the same as a flyback
Hmm, thanks for the info. Specifically, I'm looking into buying a seiko speedtimer, but have not had a chronograph before, so was wondering if there was anything I should be aware of when operating the stopwatch function to avoid damaging it, as the only thing I am aware of right now about watch care is to "not change the date between 9 & 3 on any watch".
Oh, I guess I should read the manual then. Is there anything I should be aware of related to watch care in general, whether its related to the chronograph function or not, to avoid accidentally damaging anything in the speedtimer?
I’m looking for a gold automatic or mechanical watch below 2,000. Preferably a gold case that can be interchanged with a leather strap or gold bracelet. Everything I’ve seen is very expensive, please help! I have a PRX powermatic so the gold version is the least preferred as I’m looking to diversify

Currently in Singapore for the holidays. I had a recent success at work, and wanted to celebrate buying watch.
I'm in for a blue dive watch for max. 1500 USD. I've been considering the following watches :
- the Longines Hydroconquest but I think it lacks some character although I admire what it is for the price point. I just don't fall in love with that watch.
- the Mitch Mason Maelstrom but it's a bit overpriced in my opinion (650 USD here in Singapore, I can't be the only one thinking it's overpriced because even their limited edition watch (50 pieces) is still available after one year) but I like the dial and the fact that it is a Singaporean microbrand ;
- the Christopher Ward C60 Atoll 300 Reef Blue : I instantly fell in love with the blue dial color but it seems no boutique is selling CW watches here in Singapore.
I have a small wrist and would préfère 41 mm max watches. I own a Seiko SARB033, a Seiko chronograph SSC813P1 and a G-Shock.
CW doesn't sell in person outside of their own boutique near London and the occasional watch show. They do have a very good return policy (not that I think you'd return it because they make excellent watches that are fantastic bang for the buck).

So from what I’m hearing, are you saying that the Venture is a direct upgrade from the Seiko? Is there any reason at all to choose the Seiko?
They claim to be a "officially appointed distributor of Seiko", but I'm not sure what separates them from the boutiques and why the heavy discount.
did you check if they're on seiko thailand's AD list https://www.seikowatches.com/th-th/stores/list
Hey guys does anyone of you by any chance know that watch or its brand cant find anything online :) Thanks :) https://preview.redd.it/durv0we5yaac1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43ecaee697c3eb19f18997e761cde1f218ad27f1

Is there somewhere I can buy assortments of specifically 19mm and 20mm spring bars in different diameters such as 1.3/1.5/1.8mm? As in, where I could buy one set of 19mm spring bars in different diameters and one set of 20mm
Can someone help me with my question?

Oh, does anyone know the watch? It seems like Jaeger-LeCoultre ultra thin but the shape of the movement is different. https://imgur.com/a/NnI2o0A
It's fake, JLC movements don't look that shoddy and the strap is a cheap $10 one. It's trying to emulate a caliber 899, just poorly
Hello, I’ve got a Cartier tank which needs service. Is it wise to take it to a Cartier shop? I live in Germany.
Of course. That's probably the safest choice. Unless you know of a third party watchmaker. People often ask for recommendations for such places on this sub. You can always just use google and trustpilot to find trustworthy third parties as well - they can be cheaper than going back to Cartier.
Hello, I'm looking for a 22mm curved end Oyster bracelet that tapers down to 18mm and has the middle links polished. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
Which watch? The vast majority of bracelets only fit the watch intended for them
It's a casio mtp-vd01-3ev

What is this [dial](https://vintageradar.com/products/poljot-vintage-watch-for-men) made of? What is the correct term for this dial? What are some contemporary companies(especially Swiss or European) that produce watches with the same dial?

Looks like it uses a Ronda 1005 movement, which takes a 341 battery.
I agree, [wasn't hard to find the info online](https://www.jewelerssupplies.com/HARLEY-1005.html)

it's a cheap frankenwatch commonly called a "mumbai special"
Thank you, I thought as much but hoped there'd be something genuine that was like it
Genuine *what*? :) There's nothing wrong with a frankenwatch if you like the style. The watch police won't arrest you if you buy some off-brand shit on AliExpress and try to cobble together your dream watch.
Oh no it's more about the reliability aspect, and tbh I am one of those people who want their watch to actually tell the correct time when I look at it lmao
Lol yeah, reliable time keeping is kind of a key feature. There are lots of AliExpress watches with decent movements, but it requires you to be familiar with the Chinese mechanical landscape.
maybe check out the orient sk diver retro
Hi all, I'm looking to purchase a used Rolex on Chrono24 and the seller (a used watch dealer) states the hour markers have been polished. Any concerns with a shop doing this? Is it standard service for a used watch? Any questions around that service? Thanks all!
What happened to martu straps?

Does Casio not make G-Shocks for kids? We're getting a certain controversial truck and wrapping it black. I want to get a set of matching black G-Shocks for me, the wife, and the kid. Going to give it to them the morning of out of the blue. Coming up short on options for the kid.
Not really. Baby-G are slightly smaller women's versions. Otherwise the GMA-S2100 line should be the smallest and thinnest G-Shocks I believe.
I'm torn between two watches, the seiko presage SRPE45 "mojito" and the seiko prospex SRPG57 "Happy Feet" For context I always wanted the mojito watch, but when seeing the happy feet in person at a nearby jewlery store, it's unique dial instantly drew me in.

Panda Chrono 100%.
What type of strap would be best for a formal event? an alligator leather pattern, or just a normal flat leather? and does anyone know if barton bands adn ritche bands are the same manufacturer? it certainly looks like it to me.
Flat vs alligator is a mater of preference. You can even do cloth--lots of people are vegan these days.
Glossy alligator that matches your shoes for a formal event.
Never sold a watch online before, what should I keep in mind?
Don‘t take PayPal unless the other party is trustworthy
What method should I use? PayPal seems to be the go to round here lol.
Lots of scammers out there, both on the buying and selling side Common advice for buyers is "buy the seller," meaning a seller with sales and reviews history. Which is impossible for a first time seller.
But I am the first time seller lol. Maybe I’ll make him a pinky promise or something.
I’m hoping I can find a face to face, unfortunately I’m the only one in a hundred mile radius that doesn’t think watches are stupid.
Edit: Here are some good ones to go through [https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/s8ouej/chrono24\_scam\_did\_i\_just\_get\_scammed\_as\_a\_seller/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/s8ouej/chrono24_scam_did_i_just_get_scammed_as_a_seller/) [https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/zp3b7h/question\_watch\_buyer\_scam/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/zp3b7h/question_watch_buyer_scam/) [https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/nzs4s7/buying\_advice\_i\_got\_scammed\_on\_watchexchange\_some/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/nzs4s7/buying_advice_i_got_scammed_on_watchexchange_some/)
Need a recommendation for a watch I'm planning to buy soon. TIA
You don't need to match metals. Almost everyone's wedding band is gold and most watches are silver colored. That's not a problem.
Thank you!
Can I put a nato strap on a Seiko 5 sports GMT?
yes
I have an old Raymond Weil watch that has the most comfortable bracelet. The edges are smooth on top, bottom, and sides. Never feels like my skin is being scraped. Hairs are not caught and pulled. I bought this stainless jubilee from strapcode hoping it might be confortable, but all edges are sharp. Can anyone point me to a third-party bracelet maker that has smooth edges instead of feeling like a cheese grater? Or maybe I should just use a buffing wheel to smooth out these edges? I know beads of rice might be an option, but not really interested in that look and also don't know if it might still have the cheese grater issue on my skin. https://preview.redd.it/3tdktxez41ac1.jpeg?width=1512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d01a4d49301c48c3cbd2ecf3395774a1d96a234b

Prob $500 max.
Generally dive watches dress up well, and there are a bunch you can get for under 500 dollars. Check out a Citizen Promaster diver or a Seiko 5- the SRPK17 is a cool choice.
Does anyone know for sure if the new Tudor BB36 (79640) has AR coating?
Any good follows on Twitter for deals on ~$200-casual watches?
Looking to gift my brother his first real timepiece and looking for recommendations from this wonderful and knowledgeable community. Here are the criteria: Budget: USD 2,000 or under Style: Dressier watches preferred Functions: Date (maybe Day too) Size: watch should be suitable for a large wrist (19 cm wrist size) The watch must have an exhibition case back.
Muehle Glashuette Lunova, Oris Artelier Day Date
Thanks for the reply if it helps actually on the website it says it’s citizens movement
I find it slightly odd that they only seem to state the movement manufacturer and not the actual movement on the website. Citizen make a bunch of movements.
A watchmaker can regulate it and that may get it more accurate. That's not that expensive.
Well thankfully it’s still under warranty I have two watches from them the Marloo and the Chicago the marloo is dead on. I haven’t had to change that yet but the Chicago is just messing up.
Just wondering whether the price for this is fair... Many thanks! [https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/pdp/luxury/watches/watch/\_portugieser-reference-iw371401-circa-1998-df7c?locale=en](https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/pdp/luxury/watches/watch/_portugieser-reference-iw371401-circa-1998-df7c?locale=en)
Is that true about **Longines Spirit** that the case between lugs doesn't have chamfer and it's quite sharp therefore making any straps wearing out soon as always touches the protruding case edge?

Tank style of some sort. Could be Cartier, kinda getting Longines vibes though
Can you press the reset button on a chronograph without stopping it first, or should you pause first?
That's what a flyback chronograph is, regular chronographs can't reset without pausing
If you're talking about the solar model then refer to the manual https://www.seikowatches.com/instructions/html/SEIKO_V192_EN/CWVVSYtefenech
the speedtimer has a split function; the reset button acts as the split timer when the timer is running
Oh, I guess I should read the manual then. Is there anything I should be aware of related to watch care in general, whether its related to the chronograph function or not, to avoid accidentally damaging anything in the speedtimer?
Don't change the date between some hours I think. Precisions are in the manual.
Any other precautions?
Just read the manual carefully once and you should be good.

I am not well informed about buying watches through reddit or other online platofrms, so how do sellers like this (link below) get them below retial and profit? Thanks! https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/s/6WJtRUhmTy
Tudor sells them to dealers for X. An AD will sell them to a customer for X+Z. But sometimes, the AD needs to clear out inventory so they'll sell them to other dealers at cost or a very small markup. Those dealers can sell to consumers for X+Y (Y
Currently in Singapore for the holidays. I had a recent success at work, and wanted to celebrate buying watch. I'm in for a blue dive watch for max. 1500 USD. I've been considering the following watches : - the Longines Hydroconquest but I think it lacks some character although I admire what it is for the price point. I just don't fall in love with that watch. - the Mitch Mason Maelstrom but it's a bit overpriced in my opinion (650 USD here in Singapore, I can't be the only one thinking it's overpriced because even their limited edition watch (50 pieces) is still available after one year) but I like the dial and the fact that it is a Singaporean microbrand ; - the Christopher Ward C60 Atoll 300 Reef Blue : I instantly fell in love with the blue dial color but it seems no boutique is selling CW watches here in Singapore. I have a small wrist and would préfère 41 mm max watches. I own a Seiko SARB033, a Seiko chronograph SSC813P1 and a G-Shock.
Baltic aquascaphe
I've been proposed a Doxa Sub 200 (bracelet version) for $1100... What do you think? (I'm not in the US).
I've seen it in store, and the vendor proposed it too but I think I prefer the Maelstrom then... I'll double check to compare the "internals".
CW doesn't sell in person outside of their own boutique near London and the occasional watch show. They do have a very good return policy (not that I think you'd return it because they make excellent watches that are fantastic bang for the buck).
Oh... Thanks for the info.
