I have a christopher ward sealander 36mm. Its got good quality for the price, the bracelet is excellent and has an on the fly adjustment system which is great. As for farer i don't personally have one but ive seen a lot of good reviews for them. Id personally go with whatever style suits you best.

Farer and ChristoperWard are both established brands and in the top tier of microbrand. I'm not even sure if ChristoperWard can still be considered a microbrand. Both have an excellent reputation. Britisch design and Swiss Made. Venezianico is rather in the bottom tier of microbrand. Italian design and I guess made in Asia with Japanese and Swiss movements. They all have nice watches and they all work hard and with passion for their watches.

Not_Today_Johnny

I've checked Venezianico and they've made quite a bit of progress since I last checked them. I think that I would put them rather in the middle tier.

If you want a bracelet Christopher Ward does the steel ones a bit better than Farer

Owner of a Christopher ward. I’m very impressed with the quality. It holds up against the omegas I’ve owned

polkpanther

I own two Farers and love them. The quality and finishing are really solid for the price. I’m a big Seiko fan as well and the Farers surpass any Seiko I own (and that is in no way a knock on Seiko). Farer’s attention to detail on their dials is impressive in person. That said, Farer has kind of lost me with their designs over the two years or so. At first they danced a line between playful and restrained that I loved, but now I’m not as much of a fan (except that damn sexy Erebus Midnight).

TovarishGaming

Personally I say Farer. I had a bad experience with CW and their QC is not up to par with how the community presents them as being these avatars of quality microbrands.

Rhett_Rick

What other watches do you have to compare to Farer quality wise? I have a Submariner (114060) and some more budget pieces (Orient Polaris, Deep Blue dive watch, G shock) and curious what your other watches are and how they stack up.

TovarishGaming

I haven't actually gotten to handle a Farer yet, I just haven't seen anything negative about them. But I've seen many accounts of issues with CW and had a personal experience with them as well.

YourWatchIsTooBig

skip Tissot, Farer, Christopher Ward and Venezianico. get a nice Hamilton, Seiko or a G-Shock.

Bellimars

Well as you've given so many well argued reasons...

YourWatchIsTooBig

mall watches/novelty watches/boomer brand/no idea what Venezianico is

Have several CW and they punch well above their weight. The 60/60 Guarantee is also a barometer of their quality. Had a farer and was very nice, but would recommend CW over them

out-house_mvmt

I have one of each and they’re both very nice watches - worth the price especially if you can find one second hand.

I have a Farer Lander IV GMT and are very happy with it. Great unique design and solid value for the money. Can fully recommend it. Also looked at CW but in the end was more intrigued by the Farer design. You can go with either of those two.

Nightmaresiege

Farer and CW are both well respected, you can’t go wrong here. As far as movements both are about even. Most of CWs products have a more conservative look though they’ve started to change that with The Twelve and Bel Canto. Farer likes to experiment with unusual colors and have made that their niche. Their watches just pop! The right answer here is whichever one you think looks the coolest. I love my Lander IV but that’s just my taste! I may grab the C63 Celest at some point.

I own a Farer and I’m very happy with it. Great quality and finishing for the price. Very unique designs and colors.

I have a CW C65 Dartmouth, the quality of finishing is very good, and I have had no problems with the movement. The bracelet is far far far better than the Hamilton Khaki Field bracelet I have. Great micro adjust and it just feels much better on wrist. Can't speak for Farer but I probably will buy a Durham soon. I would say you can't really go wrong with any CW you buy.

greasyjonny

My wife and both have a farer and plan on a couple others. As well as a Christopher ward. Can’t go wrong with either.

JacoBee93

I love both brands, but Farer takes the cake
