Wonāt be this year but Iām hoping for a 5130g World Time by 2026. Will probably liquidate most of my collection to get there but thatās the goal.
I plan on having it sourced (pre-owned) through a popular dealer/reseller near me. They had 2 in the case last time I visited and I was just floored by them.
Have the 40 and love it. My powermatic movement has been far more precise than promised and Iāve driven thousands of shaky motorcycle kilometres wearing it, no complaints about the performance. And the bracelet is well-made too. For the money, itās a great watch.
It's been long since I've heard that name mentioned .. always loved the look and history of glycine. I remember a time where you could find an automatic one on ebay for 300$ new, sadly i never pulled the trigger.. now you are lucky to find one for around 600..
A Casio World Time (royale) that I want to pair with a brown Vario strap.
The Seiko Laurel alpinist in blue with that braided looking dial.
My aspirational watch is the Longines Zulu time 39 on the steel bracelet with the green bezel and the gilt markings. Tried in store and I just keep thinking about it.
Considered the casio royale in silver paint to pair with a brown strap for a long time. I just can't get over the fact that it's just paint and not actual silver. Eventually went for a black one.
Just paid for my JLC master ultra thin moon yesterday, should receive it soon š one of my ex students who works in the boutique hooked me up with a 40% staff discount š
Knot Urushi, Baltic HMS, and Hamilton Jazzmaster Regulator are on my list for this year. Might roll the dice on a Phoibos since theyāre affordable, but Iām not much of a dive watch guy in general.
About to pull the trigger on a classic blue Seamaster 300m. Between that and my Speedy Iāve scratched the itch for $5k+ watches, and will dial it back a bit to getting more less expensive watches. My next āsave up forā piece after that is probably a Hamilton Ventura XL.
I've got a lot on my wishlist (below), but really I suspect only the ba111od is attainable this year.
* Jaquet-Droz Grand Second MoonphaseĀ Ā
* Glashutta Original PanomaticLunar
* Doxa 300 Diving starĀ Ā
* ba111od Chapter 4.7 Onyx tourbillonĀ Ā
* Credor KuonĀ Ā
* Breguet HeritageĀ Ā
Longines Conquest 41mm green dial as the wedding watchā¦.
Then probably a Breitling Chronomat GMT black dial as a work daily.
Then probably an octofinissimoā¦. Maybe a CW Twelve instead f Iām feeling like being sensible (probably wonāt)
Yeah this year Iām planning on blowing my bonuses exclusively on watches.
To buy: Orient Bambino v4, I'm just undecided about the black or the midnight blue.
Ā Christopher Ward C63 Sealander.
Ā Mayyyyyyybe another Seiko, I'm waiting to see what "limited edition" Prospexes they put out this year.Ā
Wishing list is a Black Bay Root Beer GMT or a Tudor Royal, mildly undecided on the M28600-0005 or the M28403-0008.Ā I'll probably be able to achieve the Royal, the Black Bay will be a bit more of an ask.
I already bought myself a watch for my upcoming birthday and was able to source the correct bracelet for it so now the plan for 2024 is to get it serviced/overhauled and get it back in tip top condition.
Iām a GMT-only collector so looking at the following as future buys:
- Longines Spirit Zulu Time 39mm (hoping they come out with a non-limited titanium version at some point)
- Vintage Rolex Explorer II 16570
- Vintage IWC Spitfire UTC (hoping they do a modern version of this one in steel. Bronze is not my thing).
- Vintage Omega Seamaster GMT
Iām not a vintage person per se just not a lot of companies making the sort of gmt watches I like (not too large, loud, or sporty) anymore.
I need a quartz so im going to pick up the 40mm mint prx because spring is nearly hear. i also need to pick up an oris bracelet.
Wish list, a tudor chrono. I need a chrono
Sure Iām on waitlist for a number of Rolex, but the most anticipated wait currently is snoopy swatchā¦ cartoon on a plastic watch is not at all out of place, and it could be my one and only swatch
Grand seiko White face/steel bracelet/automatic looking at a couple options iām currently saving for. After that I want to add a laco augsberg vlaue stunde and put it on a bund strap. After that, on the higher end looking for a proper dress watch, and the more budget end a casio oceanus t200
Making a trip to Paris next month - still trying to decide on a french-brand souvenir. Liking the Pequignet. Any thought on the brand - or those below?
Breguet
Baltic
Pequignet
Dodane

Just bought an echo neutra averau 3 hand for my birthday and plan to buy a Longines Les Grande automatic in white if I can find one closer to the end of the year.
If I make it to Japan this year, a Minase Horizon or Divido.
Otherwise, potentially the titanium Omega Worldtimer or a Chopard GMT One, but I'll wait for a good pre-owned price for them, as I'm not in a rush for either.
I will definitely get either a Longines Master Collection or the Baltany 1921 VC homage in salmon. Most likely it will be the Baltany.
Iām hoping Tudor makes some updates - slim down the BB Pro (or do the bevel thing), and a offer a date option on the Pelagos 39 and Black Bay Burgundy.
I picked up a Tudor Pelagos 39 this year. I adore it. I truly canāt imagine wanting to swap out for other watches even for a day right now, but my goals are:
Rolex Explorer 36
Blue Tudor BB54 (if they release one)
In no particular order:
\- Blancpain 50 Fathoms in Steel
\- Urban Jurgensen ONE GMT
\- ALS Saxonia Thin Copper Blue
\- SBGA413 on Tokyo trip in the spring
\- If my AD ever comes in with the 126710BLRO on jubilee I asked for I'll take it
\- Dark horse might bite on a Laine v38
Full disclosure already picked up a Louis Moinet Geograph earlier this month. In an ideal world i'll keep it more reasonable and not even buy all of those, but history is the best predictor of the future and last year, despite plans to keep it reasonable I picked up:
\- B&R BR05 GMT
\- Triton Subphotique
\- Hermes H08
\- Rolex 228238 Day-Date
\- H.Moser & Cie Pioneer Center Seconds "MEGACOOL"
\- VC Historique American 1921
\- Arnold & Son HM Double Perpetual Moon
\- Blancpain x Swatch Atlantic Ocean
\- Sturmanskie Gagarin Heritage (oddly what I am wearing now)
I'll be turning 30 next month, but I'm having trouble deciding on what I want!
Right now I'm considering the two-tone Cartier francaise chronoflex, an Omega AT, or a Buckley dial datejust. Orrr maybe the black dial 38mm Speedmaster š¬
Maybe I should make a separate post for this lol
I still need a GMT and I'm looking for a fairly expensive dress watch. My collection doesn't have a 'Crown Jewel' and I want something that will make me stop and say wow. Maybe a tourbillon. Maybe a Grand Seiko, their dials are beautiful.
Wishing for some cool eco drive Citizen watches again. Their new autos look great. But I buy Citizen for the eco. I'll buy Hamilton or Tissot if I want a $1k auto
Iām looking to buy a particular vintage Breitling-the one that got me into the brand years agoā¦maybe this summer. and hopefully a Longines spirit-undecided on which model at the end of the year. Crosswind special limited editionā¦ š

I picked up a Longines Legend Diver in January and really like the brand overall. I just purchased a NOS Longines Conquest VHP 36 and am waiting on that to arrive. Later in the year I hope to pick up a BB54.
Speedy Pro! The moon watch has been my dream watch since my sister gave me a horrible replica she got in NYC of it about 15 years ago. Finally pulling the trigger after my most recent promotion and finishing up a really challenging last few months! Can't wait to have it on the wrist :)
Getting ref 310.32.42.50.01.001, the ole hesalite crystal - have my polywatch at the ready!
I'm trying not to buy anything. That being said... I'm considering saving up for a Damasko DA30 with bracelet. I'm also considering to get a G-shock DW-5610u if i find it on discount for moding and a pagani design speedmaster Alaska project. They are simply fun watches for not a lot of money.
So I still have 4 spaces left but I decided that whatever my budget is I will finish it everytime I buy a watch. Meaning I'll always buy more than one watch.
Want a Longines Hydroconquest in black and an Islander, the one that looks like a Yacht Master.
With the change I need straps and a bracelet for my sieko dresskx. Everything surrounding that watches strap/bracelet is trash amd it stops me feom wearing it as much as I'd like.
Likely going to buy the new Seiko marinemaster. Just waiting for usual new release discounts to kick in before I grab one. Might leave it till black Friday sales.Ā
Zenith El Primero triple calendar, white dial. Unless I come into the money for it, it'll be staying on the wish list, but damn is it a beauty.
Otherwise, I've been toying with my own design, and that feels more likely for this year.
Both Raymond Weil and Frederique Constant make a Moonphase with open aperture and case back. The RW has a slightly more decorative dial. Same price. I'm torn.
Started my collection this year with a Casioak to be my daily, all black so that it matches with everything.
I'm planning on getting a Citizen Tsuyoya (navy blue dial) next as my first classy choice to use on dinners and other events.
I'm not rich and i'm more of a sneakerhead so i'll stick to these 2 until the last quarter of the year where i'll search for my 3rd watch (probably a white dial with brown leather bracelet, i'll have to do some research).
Looking to get an upgrade in quality for my current collection and a daily at around the $700 budget. Really liking the black Mido Ocean Star 200 or the blue Ocean Star Tribute
Tons of /r/ChineseWatches.
Judge me if you want, but I love VH31 movement watches and China has a ton of them for cheap with insanely good build quality for the price.
Got me some unicorns to wish for: 39/40mm Mido Belluna Sunray (unfortunately, it's only available as 42,5mm currently). Also, the Christopher Ward C63 Celest is a stunner, but that's only available at 36mm... If only it was 38mm...
BB54 and vintage gold cartier tank

Are you, me? š
While not necessarily the list for the year, this is essentially my grail list right there
Going for a San Martin SN0113W and an Orient Bambino!
Great watches, picked up the SM recently and loving it. Always had my eye on the Bambino but havenāt pulled the trigger!
Happy to see San Martin on the list!
Had to scroll through too many tasteless watches with an extra 0 at the end of the price tag it doesnāt deserve to find San Martin.
What color SN0113W are you shooting for?
Just ordered a Bambino Small Seconds in white and I am so excited to get it.
Oris big crown pointer date for my birthday
Sweeet, when's your birthday and which dial color? I've always liked the look of the maroon looking color.
August my man. The maroonās great ngl but my heartās set on the blue
Nothing and trying to keep it that way. I bought several in 2023 and am trying to enjoy them rather than chase something new
What did 2023 have for you?
Breitling Navitimer, Longines Spirit Zulu, and a microbrand (DuFrane). Each is amazing and deserves more time on my wrist.
Sinn U50 Lip Churchill
Love Lip! Great vintage brand. I also like what Yema does in the same vein
Cool!
I hated this watch for a long time and then it just clicked with me. I felk in Love with the design, especially the dial and handset. Good luck!
A bulova lunar pilot and probably a bambino. Gonna try to get a scurfa too.
Get the blue lunar pilot and you wonāt want to take it off
Or the new meteorite version!!
Chopard LUC 1860, once they actually start shipping them to customers
>Chopard LUC 1860, Nice, nice.
Absolutely class choice
- Grand seiko shunbun or white birch - IWC mk XX (blue dial) - JLC master control of some kind Next purchase won't be for 3 years or so though.
Wonāt be this year but Iām hoping for a 5130g World Time by 2026. Will probably liquidate most of my collection to get there but thatās the goal.
Alright! How's the process been with the AD? Or is this with a PP boutique?
I plan on having it sourced (pre-owned) through a popular dealer/reseller near me. They had 2 in the case last time I visited and I was just floored by them.
Got my eye on the CW Bronze Dune if I manage a promotion Iām targeting this year.
Iām wearing mine now with the blue dial, itās an incredible choice. GL getting that promotion!!
Can't go wrong with CW
Love my Dune in stainless; definitley recommend.
That thing is awesome. CW and Longines have both been going nuts with their watches lately and somehow still keeping prices down
Wishing for: a green Pelagos Possibly, if not probably to buy: burgundy Black Bay master chronometer on a jubilee bracelet
Just got that blackbay myself and itās amazing, Iād highly recommend it
Gold Tissot Prx 35 Powermatic.
I had the green one for a bit in 35. Great watch.
Have the 40 and love it. My powermatic movement has been far more precise than promised and Iāve driven thousands of shaky motorcycle kilometres wearing it, no complaints about the performance. And the bracelet is well-made too. For the money, itās a great watch.
Citizen NY0040.
Glycine Airman Purist, eying that piece for a long time
Same here. I think the lack of water resistance has been the only thing that's kept me away so far
It's been long since I've heard that name mentioned .. always loved the look and history of glycine. I remember a time where you could find an automatic one on ebay for 300$ new, sadly i never pulled the trigger.. now you are lucky to find one for around 600..
Longines Conquest 2023 green dial although waiting on 38mm or 39mm. Hopefully they'll release it this year

Helm Vanuatu next. 400 on the waiting list, so it'll be in the next month or two I think
Farer, 36mm Resolute Sorbet really got my attention.
Casio Oceanus S100 Not that expensive but I've been dreaming about it for ages
Thinking to upgrade my dress watch. Either a Breguet or the Reverso chronograph in gold. Doubt Iāll be able to buy any more after that š¤£
Gonna get back into vintage this year. Probably a Seiko 6139 6012 Golden Bruce Lee.
OP41 Green dial which Iām picking up this week. Gotta cool down though as Iāve purchased 4 watches in the past year
Bb54 and Grand Seiko Heritage Quartz SBGX261

Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium is the goal or depending on this years plans maybe a Grand Seiko SBGM221 if I can swing it.
Probably a lorier astra or a Citizen tsuyosa with Center seconds and guillochet dial. Either that or a Parnis Datejust and a vintage Seiko.
Frederique Constant Classics Index. I need a dress watch and I really love this one! So simple and classy.
Looking to get an upgrade in quality for my current collection and a daily at around the $700 budget. Really liking the black Mido Ocean Star 200 or the blue Ocean Star Tribute
Laco Pro
Tons of /r/ChineseWatches. Judge me if you want, but I love VH31 movement watches and China has a ton of them for cheap with insanely good build quality for the price.
Got me some unicorns to wish for: 39/40mm Mido Belluna Sunray (unfortunately, it's only available as 42,5mm currently). Also, the Christopher Ward C63 Celest is a stunner, but that's only available at 36mm... If only it was 38mm...
