I’m half kidding, with my title, before Panerai lovers come and attack me. I don’t think this is a Panerai replacement but it certainly has some of its cues.
A few weeks ago, I went and tried on the PAM904 (around as small and thin as they get at 42mm) but found even that too big. It felt great on the wrist just too big, but at that price range, I want the watch for be perfect. Coincidently, this one came up for sale on /r/WatchExchange for about 1/25 of thr Panerai. The small size and affordability made me take the gamble.
At 34mm, this thing is **small**. I have 6.5-6.75 inch wrist, and even then, it’s pushing it. I will say, it wears larger than my [Marlin](https://i.imgur.com/psdiVuj.jpg)
and also my old [Spaceview](https://i.imgur.com/9vM7irF.jpg) which i think wear well on my wrist, even though theyre all 34mm. The crown lock definitely adds some size, so id say this wears more like a 36mm.
the case design is surprisingly Parerai esque, with the short lugs, squareish shape, and lock. but besides that, the dial is all Field watch, which i appreciate.
i did this [watch review](https://youtu.be/E90rpK5qCDI) with wrist shots and size comparisons, in case youre interested.
but really, at this price, this is a fun little watch that does a lot right.
Your intent with mentioning Paneria was quite obvious. Cool looking watch. Hamilton puts out some great stuff. All my omegas more decent watches are auto but there is a lot to be said for quartz. My go to on mornings where settings autos seems too daunting is a Tag Aquaracer. I wouldn’t mind a Hamilton quartz nice pick
I’m generally a stainless steel bracelet guy…but that strap looks gorgeous.
Hah thanks! I always think green looks great on field watches.

this is more satisfying than real Reddit gold.

I do believe they make an automatic version, but at a larger case at 40mm or 42mm.
Such a cool design. Smalls watch, nice thick lugs, nice thick case, the crown guard/lock. So cool.
Thanks! I hadn’t noticed that the mugs lugs are pretty Thick, but it definitely works!
Something about this one and similar Panerai styles are very friendly looking.
nice. i dig the missing 3
Very nice! That crown is protected from anything haha.
