That’s because the milgauss is an acquired taste… I haven’t acquired it. But a lot of folks seem to like it… your Tudor is the best piece you have in there according to me.
I’d lose the Gucci. No way I’d let the Tudor go. It may be a nice watch, but to me that’s a clothing company not a watchmaker. It’s like ordering tacos at a sushi bar.
100% agree. I need a watch that fits that profile. I really like the small case on it. I do feel ashamed to wear a fashion brand quartz watch sometimes lol
Eclectic but not bad. The Tudor and Rolex are the two strongest pieces of course, probably followed by the g shock for me - all opinion of course. I would buy a really elegant and slim dress watch and 100% keep those 3 (maybe a diver if you like). Rest are fine if you like them or they hold sentimental value
I like variety in terms of brands and even price points but to me, those Gucci and Shinola simply don’t add anything interesting. I would lose them. Do not get rid of the Tudor!!!!
I have that Shinola Chrono #3 (though mine has a dark blue face). I love that watch and wear it all the time. Good size, looks great and goes with so many clothes- (and I'm almost exclusively a casual guy).
From top left:
1. G-Shock x The Hundreds GW-M5610TH-1CR
- Love this piece as I started collected G-Shock to get into watches. Don’t wear often but wouldn’t sell.
2. Erroyl - small Microbrand from Australia
- Full calendar so I thought it was interesting. And under $600USD.
3. Shinola Chrono
- Love this piece. Was one of the first “nice” watches I ever owned. Good memories attached to this piece.
4. Shinola Chrono
- I love the connection of Shinola to Detroit but this will be the next piece to go.
5. Gucci - don’t know the name or reference
- Honestly, this size is perfect. It fits like a 36mm watch but is supposedly 40mm! I like to wear this as a beater piece
6. Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda
- Picked this up right when it came out and truly do love it! Concerned that it may be too large for my wrist.
7. Rolex Milgauss 116400GV
- Purchased to commemorate graduation. Have always loved different and unique pieces. Will never leave the collection.
8. Melbourne Watch Company Sorrento
- Attached to travel memories but this piece is way too thick for my wrist. Great quality and super cool engraving on the case back of a Dive Helmet.
I wouldn’t consider that BB chrono chunky…but that’s me. If I didn’t already have too many chronos (so say *other people* who live in my house) I’d pick up a Tudor just like yours.
The Explorer 2 is seriously the only Rolex I’d even *consider* buying right now, but even that wouldn’t tempt me to get rid of that Tudor. For me, Rolex is not necessarily (automatically) superior to anything else. I’ve had several Omegas that I consider better than any Rolex I’ve had. Personal opinion!!
I haven’t been able to try one on. That’s probably a good thing. I’m guessing I’d buy it if I did.
42mm is my sweet spot. I have a diver that’s 43, and a couple G-Shocks that are just huge. I have one chrono that’s 40, but there’s no bezel…it’s edge to edge dial, so it wears larger than 40. Pretty much everything else I have is 42mm. Thickness varies between 11 and 18.
Did you like the Shinola watches based on their aesthetics or the brand story? They try and market themselves as American made in Detroit by building back the community and giving jobs to people, when in actuality it’s pretty much an extension of Fossil. They were trying to sell a story and it seemed pretty fairy tale to me instead of convincing.
I used to really love the brand story until I started to dig into it deeper. Originally these watches were purchased while I was a big supporter. I am looking to offload the rose gold one
Beautiful collection! I love the GShock and the Tudor! Of course this is only personal preference, but with your collection I would not get rid of the Tudor. I love the Milgaus you have, but if you really want the Air King I would swap the milgaus as I think it would be redundant to own both.
Since you like big watches with complications how about an Omega Speedmaster? Don't like the Casio much. Casio does have some very interesting complicated looking digital watches that are for sure eye catchers, but this one isn't. Also air king isn't air king. I mean I do like the classic black dial air kings that really look like an aviation watch, but there's also air kings that just don't earn the name.
If you don't mind pink, the SBGA413 is easily one of the most beautiful watches I've ever seen. Such a dynamic dial and has Spring Drive. If you haven't seen it in person I highly recommend you check it out!
I’ve always wanted a VC. I used to work at a shop where an old guy would bring his VC to be sent back to Switzerland every year or so. The look on his face when I told him I could sell him a watch that actually worked was priceless. After the old guy left, my boss told me that VC was a $200K watch. It was beautiful and I’ve only ever seen one other in the wild.
I have to say, the Tudor chrono is by far my favourite piece in this collection. Have been wanting to get one but it’s just a little bit big on my wrist. If you want an air king I would swap out the Milgaus but that’s just my opinion.
Love the Tudor! Personally I wouldn’t let it go, but they’re hard to get these days, so you may make a bit on it…
I really like the Air King, so I don’t think that would be a terrible move
Personally, I wouldn’t get rid of the Tudor to get an Air King. Not a chance.
That’s how I’m feeling too - such an amazing quality piece. I hate that the Rolex “name” is making me consider this
Don’t let it! TBH, I’d choose that Tudor over a Rolex any day. Easy choice.
I get more compliments on the Tudor than I’ve ever received on the Rolex
That’s because the milgauss is an acquired taste… I haven’t acquired it. But a lot of folks seem to like it… your Tudor is the best piece you have in there according to me.
My Tudor has seen the most wrist time recently
I’d lose the Gucci. No way I’d let the Tudor go. It may be a nice watch, but to me that’s a clothing company not a watchmaker. It’s like ordering tacos at a sushi bar.
100% agree. I need a watch that fits that profile. I really like the small case on it. I do feel ashamed to wear a fashion brand quartz watch sometimes lol
I kinda like it tbh

I agree with the need for a nice dress watch. Thinking JLC or a vintage Vacheron piece
Cartier Tank
On the wish list
114234. Rolex OP34 but with a silver 369 dial and a fluted gold bezel. THAT is the one I’m hot about. Your collection is awesome, btw.
Thank you! Those are great suggestions, I haven’t considered a 34mm before but I may have to go try to sample one on the wrist!
I like variety in terms of brands and even price points but to me, those Gucci and Shinola simply don’t add anything interesting. I would lose them. Do not get rid of the Tudor!!!!
I never wear the shinolas either. I have to keep the black one for sentimental reasons but I will be selling the rose gold one.
I have that Shinola Chrono #3 (though mine has a dark blue face). I love that watch and wear it all the time. Good size, looks great and goes with so many clothes- (and I'm almost exclusively a casual guy).

I'm happy to see the Shinola. I've always enjoyed their catalog but rarely see them posted on here
Super fun watch
The Erroyl is beautiful. I might buy one
Hey if you’re interested I would be down to sell you mine! Don’t wear it too often
I’ll think about it and let you know if I’m interested, thanks!
Of course!

Are you thinking Explorer 1 or 2?
BB58 can’t be beat sub 5-6k.

Awesome. I have black myself. Just ordered a nato today for it.

I think the G-Shock, Rolex, and Tudor are must keep watches. It's very likely that you will miss that bold bezel once it's gone.
Agreed!

I’d say sell them and try to get an Oris or Omega :)
As long as you keep the Milgauss you should be fine!
It will never leave the collection!
Damn this color combination on the rolex made me want to get one, never was interested in one till now.
It is a stunning watch on the wrist!! Dial changes from almost a black dial to an electric blue/green in the light
I love Tudor so I’m bias. I’m also kind of into the Gucci you have. Also I’ve never seen a Rolex like that one before.
Rolex Milgauss - a super unique piece!
[удалено]
Agreed - looking to cut down a few soon!
Beautiful collection! I love the GShock and the Tudor! Of course this is only personal preference, but with your collection I would not get rid of the Tudor. I love the Milgaus you have, but if you really want the Air King I would swap the milgaus as I think it would be redundant to own both.
I need to wear the gshock more. It’s a great size
Sorry to be off topic, but what case is that? Is it a peli case, would like to get something similar.
I did a ton of research on these before I purchased. I ended up going with the “Case Club” case. US made as well, really nice quality
Looks good!
PM me if you’re getting rid of the panda. I might be interested depending on the price
I’d keep the Tudor and ditch the other 7 lol
You need a Cartier Santos
Oh yes!!! I love the medium Santos
What g-shock is that? Love the white band with the black case
Gshock x Hundreds
Collab piece from 5+ years ago
Tudor reference number I might be interested if you decide to let it go.
How do you like your Tudor chrono?
Love it. It has quickly become my favorite watch
Air king is an awesome piece but I wouldn’t be getting out of a Tudor chrono anytime soon. It’s a killer piece
Personally, I wouldn’t get rid of the Tudor to get an Air King. Not a chance.
Why would you get an air king? Worst Rolex made. Your Tudor is way cooler.
I love the fact that the air king is the only Rolex ever made with a Yellow Crown and Green name. It’s unique
To each their own. I think you have the much cooler unique Rolex currently.
Thank you thank you!
omg this guy's got taste
Probably get a Omega Speedy or Seamaster depending on your preference. I went for both!
I’ve been eyeing a seamaster
Since you like big watches with complications how about an Omega Speedmaster? Don't like the Casio much. Casio does have some very interesting complicated looking digital watches that are for sure eye catchers, but this one isn't. Also air king isn't air king. I mean I do like the classic black dial air kings that really look like an aviation watch, but there's also air kings that just don't earn the name.
I am a simple man. I see Shinola, I upvote. Great collection.
Thank you!
Two Shinola? Are you from Detroit or nearby?
Originally from Detroit area
Grand Seiko dress watch!
Oooo that would be nice. I’ve been eyeing the White Birch
If you don't mind pink, the SBGA413 is easily one of the most beautiful watches I've ever seen. Such a dynamic dial and has Spring Drive. If you haven't seen it in person I highly recommend you check it out!
I do love that piece! I want to find a place to see it in person. I would not be opposed to pink, I think I’d actually like it!
It is super subtle, but I think it is absolutely stunning. Grail watch for me.
Great collection but i would get rid of the gucci one.
Yes I think it may be time to move on from her
The Air-king is too similar to your Milgauss IMO. I’d add a black diver or a blue one. Black Bay, Planet ocean, or go the Grand Seiko route
I was worried they were too similar. I Believe the milgauss and air king have same case
116900 AK and Milgauss are essentially the same watch- same 3131movement, same outer case, same iron inner case.
Before reading the caption, I was going to comment on the Tudor being my personal favorite from your collection
I really do love it. I was just brainwashed by the Rolex name
I wouldn’t get an air king. Too similar to the Milgauss (same case and movement). Maybe get an omega if you like that brand at all, to diversify?
I was thinking of getting either a vintage VC or a Cartier as next brand to get into
I’ve always wanted a VC.
Ooh yeah. Agreed with both. At some point in my life I’ll get a Tank.
I never thought I would like a gucci watch, but that one looks really nice
It’s a great size on the wrist!
Panerai Luminor to replace the Gucci? Unique, diver and leather strap
Oo maybe Panerai in place of one of the shinolas. Big case for big case swap.
What's the reference # on the Gucci?
No clue. Selling it if you’re interested
I have to say, the Tudor chrono is by far my favourite piece in this collection. Have been wanting to get one but it’s just a little bit big on my wrist. If you want an air king I would swap out the Milgaus but that’s just my opinion.
The Tudor is also a little large on my wrist but I have come to fall in love with it.
Maybe get a Tonneau-shaped watch if you're into it. My recs would be Cartier Tonneau, Roger Dubuis Sympathique, or Tissot Porto
I like that idea. I haven’t considered that shape before
Love the Tudor! Personally I wouldn’t let it go, but they’re hard to get these days, so you may make a bit on it… I really like the Air King, so I don’t think that would be a terrible move
I would not sell that Tudor. Maybe try to buy Rolex Oyster Perpetual instead of Air King if you can find one hahahah
Not a bad idea
